I dont deny that it's well acted.

I dont deny that it's shot with beautiful rolling landscapes.

But I just don't get it. I love films. I love watching quality well acted well written films. I look forward to watching filmsand possibly placing them in my top "20 off all time" we all have those types of film... and once in a while a film does knock a film out off my top 20.... However I hust didn't get this film.. kinda pointless I thought.... very slow to yhe point nother actually does happen in it... not really... A man wants to be left alone A man won't leave him alone The man cuts his fingers off He still won't leave him alone He cuts more fingers off He still won't leave him alone He cuts more fingers off A goat dies.. That's if fokes, that's the film.. A film ill never watch again... 2 hours in my opinion wasted..

What a fantastic series this is. I do like a courtroom drama. Over the years there have been a wealth of quality slick U. S courtroom dramas and I honestly think this is the best one off them all. Very very funny and the acting is superb from the whole cast. Im not sure how or why it hasn't won more awards and accolades . William Shatner is just excellent is the aging superstar attorney, providing most of the laughs with his failing mental health and crazy behaviour (Denny Crane) BUT James Spader is on another level, giving us the dramatic closing speeches that are wonderfully written and wonderfully delivered. But the thing with this series that makes it even better is the character development. Shatner and Spaders man to man love of each other is a joy to watch and see grow, Ive not seen this type of story between 2 leading actors in a series ever before. Mixed into this is Spaders characters loneliness and vulnerability, you come away feeling sad for him. It's one of the very few programs I look forward to sitting down and watch, the last one being House MD. Candice Bergen is the grownup mother type character who seems like the only sane lawyer in the building. I watch this show and just smile, its funny/poignant and touching. Im just starting the third series. I really hope it remains this good to the end. I really think there's a spin off to be had with this program, showing Denny Crane as a younger lawyer at the start of his career, to see why his is so awesome and why his name alone can win cases. American writers show again why they are the best in the world.

This might be... no it is the worse. The worse... thing there has never been ever ever ever on British television in the history off anything anytime ever.. whoever signed off on this should do time in jail... its utter criminal how bad this is.. once you've seen this you have to rip your telly off the wall and burn it because it will never be the same again.. its just not fair on the telly.... end its life and end it straight away... Harry Hill is about as funny as stubbing your toe on a new born babies umbilical cord while humming Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of The Moon" (full album) watch this if you dare.. watch this if your life has no meaning.. watch this and pour salt in your eyes... you have been warned..

I have now tried 4 different times to watch this series.... 4 times I've given up not even 10 minutes in... 4 times I've been left frustrated.. the idea of the program is a 10 out of 10 for the idea, whats not to like... discovering how some of the best films of all time got made. I couldn't wait to see the story behind Aliens..... but it was just impossible to watch.. shockingly bad narrating, shockingly bad comic music and story telling.... Please just tell us the story.. it doesn't need to be slapstick or comedic... the story on its own will hold up as fascinating.... I want to watch every single episode but I just can't, I can't sit through the mess that's been made here.. seriously shame on whoever thought this would work... shame on then..

I've seen this film over 10 times and every single time I cry my eyes out, not just at the final closing minutes of the film but a dozen times throughout the film itself.. A heart breaking story that's told wonderful in this film.. However I genuinely can't watch the moments when Michael Elflick (The Night Porter) is in it.. I seriously cant bare the cruelty that he portraits... I genuinely have to mute or fast forward those sections... However John Hurt and Anthony Hopkins are out of this world playing the parts so so well.. It really was a worthy Oscar winner off sort alas it won nothing... I love this film so much.... so so sad.

Well there 100 minutes I'm not getting back any time soon. Very very disappointing and very very slow... theres really no point to this film. No acting required by Paul Walker.. however Piper Perabo is stunning... I've seen this type off film done way way better like with Shutter Island. Shutter Island being head and shoulders a better film in so many ways.. once again people are giving it 8s and 9s that's more incredible than how bad this film is. It's a poor 4 parter drama series on HPO or in the UK ITV it's one you would watch and quickly forget about. Only 100 minutes long but seemed much longer..

How did I miss this one.... Been meaning to watch this because of the favorable reviews.. You know how it it. Some films get a 10 and the some film can produce a 3, people do have totally different opinions in the same film. However this is generally in the highs of 8 to 10. Any how I watched it last night and I'm taken a back how wonderful it is. A beautiful film in many ways. Beautifully made and "stella" performances (did you see what I did there) by all cast members.. the lead roll Matthew McConaughey is Oscar worthy. This film now sits in my top 10 of all time. I can see me watching this a good few times.. the reviews are right for this film.

Seen this film about 10 times. Love it everytime I put it on. Definitely Tom Cruse's most underrated film. Excellent acting from him.. its kinda beautiful, very dark and sad at the same time. A fantastic different story, a one off, I've never seen another film quite like this one. I really should give the book ago but like most people films are easy, books always seems like a no need. This film is in my top 20 it's a film I can put on when I'm flicking through Netflix or Amazon when I cant really find another film to watch. Not everyone's cup of tea though, the wife just didn't get it, I understand that.. this is my cup off tea.. give it a try.

This actually is as good as the rating suggests. This is a superb popcorn film the likes we really don't see anymore. This film is everything a film should be... Tom Cruse must have sold his soul to the devil to have had such a long running career like his had. Awesome Awesome Awesome.. Tom Cruse is the best film star on this planet...... this is escapism at its very very best... lights out soud up, whats not to like... Definitely in my top 10 films of all time... yes theres better actors out there, but theres no one that comes close tobwhat Tom Cruse brings to the screen.. Remember you low rating miserable folk out there.... Remember ITS JUST A FILM...

It's official thosnis the worse film that I have EVER seen..... its an absolute joke, this film makes Star Wars and Star Trek believable. Hale Berry has a habit in making total s%#t films. This has to be her worse. There's about 7 or 8 films rolled into 1 watching this. Nicking ideas and story lines... poor poor acting a story that must have been written on big paper... and the bloody thing is over 2 hours long.......... if this was a DVD iwould have destroyed it... give it a miss.. its She..... ittteeeee.

All these stars.. like a great nights sky.. a terrible terrible film. Not funny at all.. almost an embarrassment of a film.. Julie Roberts character in this film is actually not very nice at all.. no laughs not one.. bad story, back in the day this would have been "A straight to video" film I've given it 3 only because I like Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

Cuts straight to the bone this film. Not by any means a pink fluffy bunny rabbit type a film. More like the rabbits just been run over by a drugged out alcoholic waste off a person... if this is real life in teaching (which undoubtedly it is) my god the worlds doomed, it really is.... blame the parents... blame the government... blame the soft arsed society we have become..

I didn't get this film first time I watched it, probably because I had one eye on my phone and one eye on the film (very short attention span) It passed me by without much impact. Now I've watched it again with both eyes... WOW.. What a superb film. Funny/Sad well well acted and the end was brilliant. A film I could definitely watch again and again... it shines as up there with some of the very best.

If stranded on a desert island I want this film to be there with me.... This film sits at the very top (with clear space) above any other film ever made.. The best of the best.. I cant remember (like most) this film coming out. I watched it like 97% off everyone else on DVD.. How this didn't get the bums on seats in the cinemas must have been a marketing balls up.. However DVD sales and now streaming services has helped this film become a favourite of many many people. Things to do in life before you die is to watch this film... not once but a few times.. this film ticks every box. Its wonderful..

I've not been a big fan of Chris Pratt.. dont know why just I guess though of him as a bubble gum kinda of actor.. (take him or leave him) I stumbled on this film on Netflix.. had a few hours to kill. Didn't expect much to be.. What a wonderful film.. wonderful story.. its like a dream you could have and wake up in the morning with a smile.. Jennifer Lawrence is simply beautiful.. a wonderful actress and stunning... I was seriously overjoyed with the ending.. big smile and a tear.. lol... Definitely worth a watch.. I think I could watch this again in the future and still end up with that smile and tear.... Awesome 👌

I truly believe this 20 odd minutes of TV is the best TV ever made... and I don't think it will ever ever get eclipsed by anything else.. this is Bafta and Oscar worthy in every single way.. Watch it and watch it again and again.... Wow.

Well Roddy is no actor.. I remember seeing this way back in the 80's and it popped up on the Netflix page... so I gave it a look.. like a blast from the past kinda thing... let's be honest it's piss poor... a 'B' movie.. more like a 'Z" movie.. really really bad... pointless dribble... the bloke acts in the wrestling ring.. laughable comedy rubbish... much like this film 3 out of 10 at best..

It's taken me a season to get into this and now it's brilliant.. Really looking forward to watching more. Likeable characters.. Slick.. Well actored... hope it continues getting better....

This film sits amongst my all time best films.. definitely in my top 5. A wonderfully acted film beautifully crafted and played out. Not everyone's cup of tea im sure. A "Must watch film" it's hard to think of many more films of this type out there that that plays with your emotions like this one..I bought it many years ago on VHS and later DVD and then Blu Ray... wonderful watch

Best film ever made.. Actually when I watch it it feels more like an event not a film.. light out beer in hand and do not disturb.. ... its a journey an epic epic journey.. never gets old...

4 hours in it feels like more... boring boring... How much have the BBC have spent on this dross... I think it could have been told in 3 episodes... I really don't think I can see this out.. to be honest I'm not even bothered about any of it.. Poor poor story telling

To all the 1 and 2 review scores... you do realize it's a film.. A pretend film. A not real film. And a cartoon type film which is even more not like real... some of the 1 and 2 score ratings and laughable... people need to take a chill pill.. I see joy isn't working in you're brains...
