A Light Episode was Necessary
13 February 2022
This episode was a lot better then we would have thought - and Fran Ryan is very good in her debut. Although the ep was a bit goofy - it was necessary after the first 5 eps were fairly bleak.

Two Great Character Actors Playing Against Type
22 May 2021
We enjoyed this episode - particularly with Harry Morgan playing the heavy and Tim O'Connor playing the Nice Guy.

If you want to see the characters in switched roles - check out Mr. TOC's 2 episodes on MASH.

Acting Directing Editing Made This Episode!
22 May 2021
TV programs do not seem to be know for editing & direction - but this time - it was done with such skill - along with a great performance by Mr. AZ - that it looked as if the brothers were separate actors.

Great Guest Acting
6 May 2021
After watching over 500 episodes of GS and seeing the same actors playing completely different parts over & over - and succeeding brilliantly - it is a microcosm of what acting is about. In this ep - Forrest Tucker dusts off his F-Troop character with an interesting re-positioning - and Richard Anderson as a Native American was amazing. We did not know it was him until the closing credits and then we had to double check it on IMDB.

Titanic vs. LA Confidential - with Hoagies!

Warning: Spoilers
Good first episode. More of a domestic drama than a murder mystery - but a good start. It was nice to see Kate Winslet do the accent of our old hometown.

Looks like the murder mystery aspect will pick up with the next episode.

Gunsmoke meets This Is Us
15 April 2021
Good episode - a little different than many GS eps. Although GS is at about 450 eps at this point - few have featured courtroom drama - and even fewer featured a courtroom setting for a civil matter.

Doc's performance in this episode reminded us of the triplets from the program This Is Us. Further - the actor Gerald McRaney - who plays a pivotal role of a doctor in TIU - also appeared in 3 GS eps in the 1970s.

Doc Adams - Frontline First Responder

We watched this episode in the middle of the pandemic. It was interesting watching a program about a quarantine while in a quarantine. Very Timely - like the episode was made yesterday - and not in 1967.

Very Interesting Themes when viewed in 2021
29 March 2021
Good episode. From the perspective of 2021 - we found the relationship between the Colonel and the Sergeant very interesting.

Also interesting from a viewing in 2021 - the Confederate Flag and the distrust of the Federal Government.

All of the above and a good story with Jim Davis as one of guest stars - made this a memorable episode.

Great ep - but one little annoyance

Warning: Spoilers
The Uncle Nicky arc is terrific. We wonder if Randall now also has long lost uncle somewhere in Louisiana.

This was a great episode - but - we would have liked to see even a single reference that UN also has two other grandchildren in the same city - including another newborn. Maybe in the next episode.

Wonderful Acting on this series

Some of the performances on GS are amazing. We've seen Ed Begley in 12 Angry Men & about a thousand other things - and we didn't know it was him until we looked it up. Not the only time we've done this on GS. Also: Wayne Rogers was good too. He really was wasted on MASH.

Good episode. And we suspect they were trying out the Night Stalker for a series of his own.

Warning: Spoilers
We had never seen this episode before - and it was pretty good. Good guest actors. We liked that Scotty McCoy & Sulu had to figure things out without Spock - and they did. We liked the appearances by Andorians & the Green Slave Girls. And there were even references to E Cochran & (maybe) Khan. We hope we see another missed episode soon!

No matter how true - still spooky
30 July 2020
We watched this episode in the middle of the pandemic. We are fans of history - but we never really knew about this incident.

We realize that these stories are not 100% true - but if it is close - what is happening today in the US is a thousand times beyond pathetic. If the story is mostly for dramatic purposes - the fact that it thought up by someone - and it has come to pass in an almost identical manner - it's even scarier.

Great Series - All 3 seasons!
26 July 2020
We stumbled on this series when we turned on Netflix one day and it appeared. We liked the cast - so we tried it - watched it right through.

Great Series - all 3 seasons. We read reviews that said Season 3 was not good - we disagree. It was great. We keep waiting for it to go bad - and it never did. The last scene was perfect.

Note: We thought Ben Mendelsohn was a guy from New Jersey or something. It was interesting to find out he's a hard-core Aussie!
