Buffaloed (2019)
Intriguing but rushed
An interesting movie on debt collection that keeps rushing from one scene to the next. Zoey Deutch performance stands apart from everyone.
Romance Retreat (2019)
Just for Yoga and scenery
Ok. Its not a horrible movie but I wont suggest you to watch it like a must watch. If you have time before going to bed at night, you might as well watch this. It wont hurt your brain and you may end up smiling a bit and sleep well. Peaceful movie, kinda relaxing. The movie does not require any spoilers, what happens is literally in the name and output of the movie is also the name.
Date Night (2010)
Entertaining and Funny
Steve Carell and Tina Fey play an epic role of a husband and wife who go out on a date and end up in an extraordinary all night long circus involving goons, police, car chase, mobs, Mark Wahlberg and dancing.
Spoilers ahead:
The car chase scene with cab driver is hilarious. I would watch the movie again just for that scene.
Flower (2017)
Zoey Deutch and Joey Morgan are the only good thing about the movie
Ok, so! Apart from the acting skills of Zoey and Joey, there is only one take away point from the movie: the concept, the idea they had in mind; totally my opinion. Apart from that, the movie fails to justify the idea they had in mind, they failed to execute/connect the transition points of the movie and in the end, it was totally messed up (Actually, not just the end, it was messed up every 2 minutes). I kept on hoping for something to happen that was worth the time for watching this movie, and I will accept that never happened. Literally, the four stars is for the acting.
Eating Animals (2017)
A must watch documentary for everyone who eats or does not eats meat
This documentary takes you on a journey that makes you question your eating choices. What type meat you want to eat having looked at the conditions of the current animal farming, breeding and meat processing locations. It makes you question the need of meat in your own life and should one make an informed choice on where to get it from , reduce consumption or even move to plant based alternatives. Having watched it, I am questioning the source of my meat and if I have to make a better choice for my own life atleast.
I will suggest: just watch it without assumptions in your mind and see where it takes you. And ask questions to yourself along the way.
Lucky Number Slevin (2006)
Thrilling and Exhilarating
A friend of mine suggested that I should watch this movie. If you haven't watched it yet, just sit down and enjoy the movie.
The Descendants (2011)
A heartwarming drama wrapped around a good motive
Matt King (George Clooney) plays an excellent role of a husband who has to embrace the challenge of taking care of his daughters because of his wife's accident. On top of that, he has to make decision about the family land in Hawaii as the sole trustee makes him even more vulnerable. His journey about coming to terms with his wife's reality, making up with his daughters who also need to accept the change awaiting their life and accepting some hard truths is demonstrated peacefully without over doing it emotionally. Overall a nice film to watch.
The Favourite (2018)
Carefully crafted and humorous adventure
The reason I enjoyed the movie even more : I saw it during Austin FF at the Paramount which was the perfect environment for a so-called classic English monarchy fun and politics at its best.
Green Book (2018)
Entertaining and Eye Opening
Great , Great and Great stuff. Just go and watch the movie. That will be the justice for the hard work put in this movie.
First Man (2018)
Felt a little betrayed, maybe expected bit too much
Ryan and Claire were exceptional in the movie. The movie was good but felt incomplete at times : why did he stare at moon so much? .
The movie varied in its pace from start until the end. I understand that the concept behind the movie was more towards the biographical view and not technical but that gap was visible in this movie by Damien which was properly covered in Whiplash and La La Land. Again, the on screen chemistry between Ryan and Claire was excellent.
Aquaman (2018)
DC's solo movie adventure is worth one time watch
After a long time ( seriously long after Wonder Woman ) , DC gave a movie which was thrilling and entertaining. Aquaman beautifully builds up the past events about the hero born from love between mankind and water-kind. Jason Mamoa at his best as always and I enjoyed his character the most.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Visuals Pitch Perfect, Story Moderate
The hype for the movie did not disappoint from the videography point of view but a random story with all the powers given to the protagonists was boring at times. One time watch maybe.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Thrilling and Captivating than previous chapters
The story unfolded to the unexpected death of Snoke, Luke's final showdown, multiple battle scenes, animated creatures and extraordinary graphics. The new resistance is here and darkness will fear it
Gifted (2017)
Beautifully scripted and delineated
I was just looking around for some recent releases this year and happen the spot this movie. I haven't heard about it from anyone and so was intrigued to watch the trailer. After watching the trailer, it was just a matter of hours before I sat down, watched it and was worth it. A beautifully scripted story showing a possible real struggle one can face in life. The way Frank slowly unfolds the meaning of life to his niece ( Mary ) was touching. His decision to raise her in a more social way while fostering her interest in Mathematics never allowed my attention to drift away from the movie.
