Our Friend (2019)
Every actor did award winning roles.
The only thing I didn't like was jumping time lines. But I see it worked best for the story. Everyone was amazing in this movie. Casey hasn't been my favorite actor, most the parts he plays are characters I don't really like much. Until now! He was phenomenal! Dakota was remarkable too! Jason Segel was never giving a good character role like this either. He was amazing too! As for Isabella Kai & Violet McGraw WOW! These young actors are going to be famous, as they should be. I didn't realize till the end that it's a true story. The writing was as great as the actors portraying these people. This movie wasn't even on my radar. But it should be watched by all. Excellent movie!
The Color of Rain (2014)
Finding your way out of grief
Some may think they moved too fast to become a couple. But finding your way out of grief is very difficult. If you find someone that helps you out of the fog of grief grab your n to them and don't let go.
The people who think it's too fast must be expecting the deceased to return. As sad as it is, they are not returning. We will be with them again after we've lived our time here. But I am the kind of person that feels falling in love again, after losing a spouse, is a blessing. This couple months ved through a sad situation with grace and ease. Hold on to the ones that understand and help you through grieving. If you are able to build a new life with them all the better.
The Bear (2022)
Chaos happens but how you handle it, every second counts
I've watched shows that caused my stress levels to rise, but The Bear made me want more. Some forms of stress can't be cleared out, but in this show it's a form that I want, no that I need more of. Excellent crew of actors. These people compliment each other so perfectly that you'd think they have been doing this for many years. And it's only season 2. Please bring me more. This show is top notch.
Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri along with everyone else have created a home in this restaurant. Where family isn't always the one you are born into. But who you bring into your circle. Tina, Marcus, Richie (cousin), Sugar, Ebraheim, Gary and even Fak ate family in chaos. High stress work in creating the best atmosphere and an eating experience to rock your world. I wish it was a restaurant I could go to.
After (2019)
This is what loves all about.
The girl having a bf already, but seeing the perfect missing piece of her puzzle. Ups & downs, highs & lows. Meeting the person who brings you such joy, that you know can also cause you that much pain on the flip side.
I hate a few things though. Firsts how the "extras" change throughout each movie. Landon, Vance & Kimberly, Ken & Karen etc. And the music... The music itself is great, but the volume is horrible. While there's a speaking part I have to turn it up to hear every word, but when the music is on I have to turn it down several decimals. I don't think I could have watched in the theater in comfort.
Best Man Down (2012)
Wasn't expecting this to be so good
Don't get me wrong, Justin Long is great. I just wasn't expecting to be hit in the "feels" so hard with this. It's Christmas in a few days and I was looking for something Christmas-y and this showed up because one of the Christmas movies had the same people. I am so happy I watched it. You never know who someone is, even if you grew up with them. You can know they are great, but they don't tell you everything. Sometimes we find out too late what they are going through. But stepping up for someone is how you can remember them & honor them. Please watch this. I would have given 10⭐ but the credits bothered me. Guy gay/Rick? Still worth the watch.
Maggie (2022)
I heard it was from the same people who made "life in pieces" So I'm in 💯
After hearing the same people who brought Life in pieces to TV are the creatures of Maggie, I knew I had to see it. I was upset when Life in pieces ended, but it ended great. No cliffhanger or story where no one was left wondering "what happened to so & so. Maggie has a great group of amazing actors. They even had princess from Life in pieces lol. It only took 2 days for me to blow through season 1. There better be a season 2 right around the corner, or I'm going to be very upset. This show is incredible. It has everything, love, laughs, seriousness, and best of all great friends. If you watch 1 episode, you will watch them all. This is my new favorite.
Marry Me (2022)
Perfect pairing with these two
I needed a pick me up and this movie brought it! I gave 10🌟 because it had it all, great music, great dancing, hilarious Sarah Silverman, and a fabulous storyline. Love, laughter and adventure. Leap of faith can truly bring great adventures. JL brought it! She's got talent in every area and she did not disappoint. OW is one of my fav and he brought it too. Great feel good movie.
Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)
It only took 20 yrs to watch
I started watching this movie when it first came out on DVD, but the actors were smoking so much (I had just quit) and I just couldn't watch. So 20 yrs later and I really enjoyed it. I would have given 10 star if there wasn't so much smoking. (I still hate watching people smoke). Great story, great acting, great writing.... I'm off to watch the second one now. I hope she's finally quit smoking. Yes I know it's a weird thing to obsess over, but it really is gross.
Meet Joe Black (1998)
This movie helped me heal, and hurt at the same time
There are few movies that can trigger healing, from grief and cause the grieving to surface all at the same time. This movie did it all. Every person in it knocked it out of the park. I've seen this movie 3 or 4 times, because of the way I feel when it ends. Next year will be the 25th anniversary of it, and I will be watching it again (probably before that) I highly recommend this movie to everyone.
Gary Unmarried (2008)
They don't make em like this anymore
Gary Unmarried was one of those shows that made you laugh from beginning to end, every episode. I hate that it didn't go further than it did. I miss this show.
The Girls Next Door (2005)
It wasn't what I expected
I hate reality shows for the most part. But this shows the emotions behind the glamorous lifestyle. These beautiful women are play things, that's their jobs. But they are emotionally tied to Huge and especially Holly loves him and its not just a job or routine for her. It's love andd caring for him that makes her happy. I will stick around to see how this crazy lifestyle works. Very interesting and entertaining.
The Proposal (2009)
Everyone was at their best in this.
This is one I can (and do) watch over and over again. Every actor was at the very best. Betty White was my favorite, of course. She did an amazing job being Gammy. I will continue to watch this any time I need a pick me up. Great movie!
Phenomenon (1996)
Believe in what you don't know or what you can see.
Every time I watch this movie, it just gets better. I haven't seen all of John Travolta's movies, but phenomenon is definitely one of my favorites. It was film near where I grew up, so it holds a special place for me. But because I truly believe in things that are not necessarily tangible, this movie brings me even closer to hope of what else can be out there.
Heartland (2007)
Brings home the phase "until you walk in their shoes"
The Bartlett, Fleming, Morris, Borden clan shows so much love to everyone. Even when you start off by hating them new characters, you soon come to love them too. Because you really don't know what is going on in someone's life. These people show us if you give someone a chance it may just be that thing they needed.
Except for Tim Fleming... He's just a jerk lol.
Teen Wolf (2011)
Always on the edge of my seat
I didn't really want to watch this series but my daughters talked me into it. After ep 1, I was hooked. It was so exciting that it was hard to stop watching so we could sleep. From the first to the last episode they all did an amazing job with every character. My daughters have asked whose your favorite, but you can't pick just one, I promise. I hope they make a come back, and because this show is awesome!
Big Miracle (2012)
Awesome
There were an array of actors in this movie which always makes a great movie. Based on a true story it was awesomely told. I don't normally recommend movies unless it is outstanding, and this was OUTSTANDING! I recommended it on my Facebook page, it was that good.
All At Once (2016)
Very well done 👏👏👏
This was a real to life, feel good movie. With a roller-coaster of emotions. Loved all the actors in this movie. Awesome. I just finished it last night and I'm watching it again today with my kids. I don't normally re-watch a movie that soon. 2 thumbs up!
