The Brazilian The 100.
17 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
3% and The 100 kind of share the same concept, but the Brazilians apparently killed it in 3% with a very good scenario and amazing plot. It has some plot twists that made the series even more interesting and got my attention till the last minute of it. I did enjoy watching it, and honestly it's way better than The 100. Can't wait for season 2 in 2018, and I recommend it!

Watching it got chilled, and it is good after all!
12 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It didn't come up to my expectations, but it wasn't bad! In fact, I think it's better than the documentary. Yes of course they missed some important things, but it is a movie, due to the specific duration that it should follow and the drama that should be mixed up with the trues story, it had to missed some stuff. However, it's better than putting a lot of plots and a lot of scenes all together in 2 hours and the film loses its value, they had just put the important stages that he had been through in his life. It is not bad.

13 Reasons Why (2017–2020)

"13 Reasons Why" is a perfect answer for the wrong question
20 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I actually thought about that, after I finished watching it. The show focused more on delivering the message of a suicidal person and make it clear for the society that "Everyone is fighting a battle, you know nothing about." and it's something we're desperately in need to be aware of, YET they haven't helped the suicidal person or the one who has suicidal thoughts to rethink about it and decide not to take his/her own life. So it didn't go the way I expected it as they were supposed to target the latter.

The show is good though, and no it's not overrated at all, but I think #13ReasonsWhy answered the wrong question: "Why to commit suicide?" where the right one should have been "Why not to commit suicide?"

So yea, people with any kind of mental disorder, have harmful thoughts or who are not emotionally stable, should not watch it. At least for the moment, until they get over it.

Solace (II) (2015)

What's the hell is not to love when Antony Hopkins is involved, huh?
15 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It's awesome. I'm not overreacting i swear, you just don't get it! This movie sums up four of my favorite foreign movies and series; The German Movie "WHO AM I", The American TV series " Hannibal", The Korean Drama " I Remember You" and finally The American movie based on true story "You Don't Know Jack". Let me explain what i mean.

First of all, it has something from the German movie "Who Am I" even if it's just the name of it, you have no idea what happened to me when i saw the "Who Am I" letters written in the beginning of the movie. "Who Am I" is one of the most beautiful, epic, amazing and greatest movie ever!! ever! If you haven't seen it yet, you must die or must watch.

Secondly, it has a common idea with "Hannibal", the American TV series not the movie. I don't wanna say the story of it but briefly, Anthony Hopkins in "Solace" plays a similar role to that of Hugh Dancy in "Hannibal" the series not the movie, again. "P.S: Anthony Hopkins stars as Hannibal himself in "Hannibal" the movie, but please don't get confused cause i'm talking about the series not the movie. Forget about it".

Thirdly, The roles of Anthony in "Solace" and Hugh in "Hannibal" are the same as Seo In-Guk, the Korean actor in "I Remember You" the Korean drama, the three of them have a mutual role which is a psychological ability that they refer to as "interpreting the evidence". Talking particularly about Anthony Hopkins in "Solace" and his ability, it's that He sees things, predicting things and even knew things that happened in the past by touching stuff, people or visiting a crime scene and recreates the thinking criminal of serial killers who is Colin Farrell that also has the same ability of Anthony Hopkins which makes it more interesting and thrilling.

Fourthly, It shares an important idea with "You Don't Know Jack" an American movie starring Al Pacino as Dr. Jack Kevorkian, based on true story and by the way the real Dr. Jack Kevorkian died 6 years ago in 2011, he was a pathologist who assisted people suffering from acute medical conditions in ending their lives. He spent eight years in prison after years of conflict with the court system over the legality of his actions that spurred national debate on the ethics of euthanasia and hospice care, and there's a video on Youtube of the real Dr. Jack in court discussing his case. I think it's with a Portuguese subtitle but you gotta watch it. Anyways, Colin Farrell in "Solace" has the same concept of Dr. Jack Which is the "Mercy Killing", besides Colin Farrell's physiological ability that also Anthony Hopkins has in "Solace".

Finally and to sum up my review, i'm not overreacting, it's just that i liked "Solace" because when i watched it i felt like i'm watching my 4 favorite movies and series all in one movie with a very good scenario, i loved the filming, the editing and the music, everything was just PERFECT. The story keeps your attention focused up to the very end. Hopkins' performance it stunning, Farrell is brilliant! They both deliver as well as ever. Abbie Cornish is awesome and i don't know how it gets only 6.5 on IMDb, it should take 8.9 at least. Anyways, if you're gonna see it, try to find an edited version with some few scenes been cut. Oh and one more thing, What's the hell is not to love when Antony Hopkins is involved, huh?

Split (IX) (2016)

It didn't come up to my expectations.
14 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
So I watched the overrated movie few days ago, unfortunately it didn't come up to my expectations at all! So here's my review:

It could have been made better, the events are so predictable, there's no single plot twist in the whole movie, yes I know it's not necessary to have one but when it comes to psychology, I think it's better to have at least one plot twist to catch your attention and makes you curious to follow up with the events. For example, it would be the best of the best, if it was built up in Casey's imagination because of her childhood abuse, or maybe she actually didn't go through a childhood abuse and it was just a psyche trip, and she is the one with DID condition, oh my God it would be the best plot twist ever, and maybe Mcavoy is her psychiatrist? YES! But no.. it is my imaginary scenario.

The story didn't keep my attention focused up to the very end, actually at some point, it was so boring and I was frustrated watching it, then suddenly the events went faster and I felt like they had only one day left to finish the movie so they were just like let's put all the beautiful touches and a very good scenario in the last 10 minutes. I also didn't like much the fantasy part in the end, it made it worse. If you're going to discuss this physiological condition, just stick to it and try to get deeper in order to show the audience something new that has never been made in such movies. Those who liked it so much, I guess it was their first time to watch a movie discussing DID case or maybe they didn't even know about this condition, but according to what I have watched before and what I have read, this is way far to be even put in a comparison with them, it's the lowest among them.

On the other hand; Mcavoy's performance it stunning and his facial expressions were epic! He played each and every personality in an awesome way. Although the scenario was so poor, there were a couple of quotes in the end of the movie that a must-noted ones, regardless the fantasy part in the end that rotten it; I know they wanted to deliver a message through this specific part, but they could have used another way and get you involved in it. Unfortunately, I give it 6.8. Yes I know, too little, that's why I'm disappointed!
