F9 (2021)
Too funny. All you haters.
Expecting "reality" from a Fast and Furious movie is like expecting reality from a Star Wars movie. It's entertaining, the characters work well together, and I found it fun. When I'm thinking "physics and astrophysics", I'm usually NOT thinking anything from Hollywood. Just some fun and familiar characters. Some folks seem to post here just to be obnoxious and condescending in their "reviews", which must make them "feel good". It is impressive this cast has been able to keep this series going for.ten years, and people obviously love it because they keep coming back to watch for more and it keeps people entertained.
Lost in Space (2018)
I was hoping to like this...
...but during the first episode and into the second I could see it had contracted "Earth 2" and "Terra Nova" disease already...two shows with great premises that were cancelled quickly...because the writers for some reason decided that every episode should begin to focus on stupid children doing stupid things. I recall about a third of the way through Terra Nova's one season I was hoping a raptor would eat all the kids and get them off the show. And as for "Space"..."Mrs." Robinson is totally unlikable. What an obnoxious character.
Hunting Hitler (2015)
Sorry, this show is good, and if you're on here running your mouth...you're only false ego driven.
What these guys uncovered, if you can't understand the significance of the Nazi infrastructure they tracked down and put on screen that we never knew existed...you don't care about FACTS. You care about a childish mocking, and are driven entirely by your childish ego. Of course they didn't find a body...Bob stated that in like the first or second episode..."if this was a Hollywood movie, we'd dig up a bunker and find Hitler. But it's NOT a movie..." But what they DID find...is incredibly interesting to actually thinking, and not falsely ego-aggrandizing, people.
Gemini Rising (2013)
Amy Hathaway is so clearly NOT a martial artist of any kind.
And then there's the Hollywood required pictures of Barry Obama in the background of any scene in a government office.
I quit watching.
Prisoners of the Sun (2013)
I thought this was pretty good.
Actually goes through some character development, which probably put a lot of people off since it isn't just flash and bang CGI all over the place and no story. Builds towards a pretty dramatic ending.
Legends of the Deep (2019)
I was already interested because I group up in the 70's with Jacques.
They tell some interesting stories about events I hadn't heard before, instead of the same old repeats. But every now and then the directors attempt at "drama" before a commercial break is...mildly annoying.
The Green Hornet (2011)
Seth Rogen did for "Green Hornet" what Jaden Smith did for "Earth Stood Still".
And that is...make the movie almost unwatchable.
Why would anyone watch Rogen in anything? An egregious mis-casting.
His character was just plain obnoxious. Within 30 minutes you didn't care if he had an epiphany and grew up near the end. You just plain didn't like him.
Which is way too bad for everyone else in the movie, whom I found very entertaining, even Cameron Diaz whose movies I do not watch (I didn't know she was in this one, we rented the Blu Ray).
Everything surrounding Rogen was good or at least entertaining. Rogen was like a black hole sucking the entertainment value out of the rest of the production.
Good grief. How much does that guy get paid? Seriously?
