Whodunnit?: The Final Chapter (1974)
entertaining but flawed
Think about this, A writer wishes to expose a war time double agent so he sends his unpublished book to the traitor (who owns a publisher) and expect him to publish it he (the writer) is either mad or stupid of both.
The Enemy (2001)
This is a very great film.
Why is it that critics write bad reviews on things that are good such as the theatre the better a play is the more it receives negative reviews. The same goes for films this one especially, I promise that this film is very good and definatly worth watching, ignore those people who do not know a good film when they see one, they are wrong.
I Start Counting (1970)
Rubbish
No wonder this film sank without trace it.s rubbish. It crawls along at a snails pace, the end of the film is stupid why would Jenny Agutters character think that her friend was in any danger and more importantly who called the police why did they arrive out of no where. It,s hard to believe that the Creator of Outside Edge wrote the screenplay for this tripe, i,m sure all those involved in this film would rather forget it. For those who seriously think that this film is any good all that I can say is that they must be easily pleased. This film has little story line even less pace and no tension what so ever. More should have been done to make the brother look like they may have been the murderer, The film is rubbish.
Raising the Wind (1961)
Hitting the Right note
It,s Interesting that the reviews here criticising it are British and the one who gives it the thumbs up is American and I agree with him this film is very good. It,s less smutty than the carry on films and not really slapstick It,s just good clean fun.
This may not be the greatest film ever made but it is good. A great cast and they do deliver they Hit the Right Note It,s funny and well written, Jill Ireland appears in one of her first roles as does Jim Dale Who after this film got the recommendation of Kenneth Williams to join the Carry on team, (His first Carry On, Cabby, wasn,t originally a carry on).
It seems that the British are the first to run British films down, thats sad.
Tales of the Unexpected: The Mugger (1984)
Tales of the totally expected
This is almost a carbon copy of a scene from Neil Simons Prisoner of Second Avenue where the main character mugs a stranger after mistakingly thinking he has been mugged. This is a clear case of plagiarism and I am sure that if Niel Simon ever sees this episode he will sue the producers. To steal another's story is against the law. Although there are some differences such as in this story the main character is English and a politician who is passionate about law and order whilst "prisoner" is not and of course Simon,s play concerns other things the fact still remains that the plot of this programme has been clearly lifted from Simon,s play.
