The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
FULL season 1 Review
Just finished the 8th episode and I gotta say - It was AWESOME! The whole series was fantastic. I'm at a complete loss for words as to why there so many haters. Several other shows getting 8+ ratings on IMDB are lame compared to this show.
I'm a huge LOTR fan and feel like they did a wonderful job taking the appendices and turning it into a compelling and engaging adventure.
Each story line was well done. I didn't walk away feeling like anyone's acting performance was sub-par.
Set design = incredible.
Costume design = unparalleled
Storyline = awesome
Landscapes/new cities = freaking unbelievably dope
Creativity levels = through the roof
Visually STUNNING on every level. And it FELT like lord of the rings. WAY better than the hobbit trilogy in my opinion.
Like shouldn't we be thrilled that a studio was willing to go gangbusters with a massive budget to further explore JRR Tolkien's middle earth?
I've got high standards for what makes a show good or not. And this is a keeper. Hope they keep up the good work all the way through. Keep the woke crap away and it's got potential to be a timeless addition to middle earth.
House of the Dragon (2022)
WTF CAST CHANGE???
I get that with the passing of time in shows it can be difficult to "age" the actors/actresses. But with technological capabilities today it cannot POSSIBLY be that hard to make someone look older. I got invested in the initial characters for the first 5 episodes and in episode 6 was like WTF. Expecting it to be some odd dream or nightmare before realizing this was the dumbest possible way to age a cast. BIG MISTAKE. Took this show from legit to lame in a split second. Not only are they different actors for key/main characters they honestly don't even get close to being "look alikes"! If you're going to have someone step in as an older version of a main character than at least do them the courtesy of finding a real world "twin".
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
Completely woke garbage that ruins dumbledore.
Why does everything have to be dragged through the woke mud to make it to production now-a-days? Dumbledore is and always will be the wisened old man that guides and cares for students at Hogwarts. JK Rowling - bummed you lowered yourself to appease the woke crowd. Absolutely ridiculous.
12 Monkeys (1995)
This didn't age well...not an 8/10 in the year 2022...
Just watched this film and feel as though I've completely wasted 2 hours of my life. The only somewhat good thing about it is watching a much younger Brad Pitt spaz out giving his all to be a psycho.
All I have to wonder is how in the world so many people think this movie is freaking awesome.
Homegrown (2021)
LOVE this show
This show is seriously amazing and needs to get bigger and bigger. Jamila is awesome and every episode teaches us something new - usually more than just one thing. Telling all our friends and family about this to get the word out! Good shows are rare now a days.
Halo (2022)
Long time halo fan - LOVE IT
I don't care if the acting is slightly cheesy. Seeing Halo on screen in a TV show is awesome. Way too many people are picky and find ways to complain. I'm grateful for someone thinking it was a great idea and making it happen. Graphics are legit!
Side note - I grew up and started playing Halo 1 upon it's release. I've played every Halo campaign multiple times on legendary. Sought out easter eggs & skulls to play LASO. Either way - people need to stop being picky and just enjoy it for what it is - entertainment!
The Wheel of Time (2021)
People are too hard on this show - it's fantastic
I've read the books too...and given the creative license that is always needed when putting into a movie or TV show I feel like they did a fantastic job. Although I 100% could do without the woke additions that were NOT in the book. Other than that - great job.
Shooter: Red Light (2018)
Love the show but come on!!!
(Spoilers)
Like why.... Julie was the best. I'd rather Bob Lee get shot than Julie! Mouse needs her mom over her hardly present dad. The writers definitely should not have done that.
Show is a 10/10 and everything about this last episode was great but killing off Julie takes it straight to a 1/10. Lame!
