Perhaps the clumsiest manifestation of a "woke" preach-fest ever committed to film.

If the real world was this obsessed with identity and cultural Marxism, I'd find a deserted island to live on.

It's getting to be a familiar theme.

A potentially great movie destroyed by "wokeness".

This would be a much better movie without.....

Without the sweeping generalizations regarding the commonality of domestically violent men. Truth is, a Harvard study recently found over 70% of domestic violence is initiated by women. And this inaccurate portrayal of domestic violence is so common in the mainstream media and popular culture, that I can only conclude that a very anti-male agenda is happening.

Great little family movie.

My family and I thought this was a very good movie. The only distraction was Robert Downey Jr.'s weird British accent. For a guy who could formerly do a very convincing British accent, and has done it many times in the past, I'm not sure what happened here. I'm reminded of Keanu Reeves' Jonathan Harker portrayal in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Otherwise, it's a very charming, feel-good movie.

Feeling the militaristic propaganda fatigue.

This movie is so rife with MKUltra garbage that it was very hard to watch. Formulaic as hell and cliche-filled to the brim. Brave military types. Check. Amazing women to the rescue. Check. Car crashes. Check. Explosives. Check. Squirting blood. Check. Evil terrorists. Check. Etc., etc..

I just had this feeling that I've come to the end with this sort of nonsense. It's just not entertaining any longer.

The best part of the movie was the beautiful Alfa Romeo Giulia.

The Grinch (2018)

Great animation.....

Ruined by a very poor lead voice choice. Cumberbatch sounds like a character from an old Scooby Doo cartoon. Was Jeremy Irons not available for the Grinch's voice? A lot of the magic of the original TV special was Boris Karloff's menacing voice. Then terrible, out of place hip-hop music and a poor choice of narrators rounds out my list of misses. This could have been a classic with just a few critical changes.

Perfect, if you skip past the first few minutes.

Why did they feel that they needed the dumb comments by people that weren't even involved at the beginning of the documentary? Otherwise, this is a perfect documentary for Stones fans. Lots and lots of photos and footage never seen before would make this worth every minute, eve n with all the inside stories.

Great movie!

Excellent movie! My only criticism is, as a big Queen fan, the song chronology represented in the movie's progression was flawed. Less dedicated and most latter days fans aren't likely to notice and it's only a minor annoyance that should not keep any rock music fans from seeing this movie.

It makes you wonder....

With all the garbage sequels for inferior movies that have been released since this movie, why on earth hasn't this one gotten a sequel sooner? Especially given the way it ended just begged for a sequel. This is epic, funny, surprising and just plain awesome family entertainment. If Hollywood would have done more like this instead of the cultural Marxism, deviance, preaching and virtue signaling that they have gotten involved in, perhaps they'd still have a viable business and be able to get people into expensive theater seats.

Best documentary I have ever seen.
26 February 2015
This is the finest documentary on this subject ever made. Period. It is the only that does not leave gaping holes in context, and the only one that treats all parties involved objectively. If you've ever scratched your head, wondering how some of the world's most educated and refined people, suddenly woke up in the early 1930's with thoughts of xenophobia, antisemitism, world domination, eugenics and "final solutions", this will put it all into perspective for you. This is the kind of documentary that could only come from objective research and a lack of agenda that is inevitable with more mainstream commercial efforts. You will be shocked that you have never heard of the Balfour declaration or the details of the horrible Treaty of Versailles in any other documentary before. Especially given the contextual weight they carry to the situation. This is the way history should be recorded, and we should all ask ourselves why we have been deprived of it. Watch, learn and be prepared to be overwhelmed by the truth.

Meh...
22 August 2014
Being a voracious consumer of rock music during the 1970's and having a pretty good grip on the major and minor players of the era, unfortunately I have to say that "Big Star" just wasn't very good. And I also remember the opinions of rock critics were usually out of sync with what most people were buying records of and tickets to see back then, so it should come as no surprise that they would try to spin some superlative filled sleep inducing documentary to fulfill their need to show us all how wrong we were. Sorry critics, it still goes right over your little heads. This is a condescending little foray into what was a fantastic decade of music, in spite of whether the critics approved or not.
