I was introduced to this story in the 1960's with the version called "the innocents". it is still the best and most accurate version out there. it gave me many sleepless nights as a child. i read the book in my teens, later studied it in university literature classes. one of the most relevant things in the story is the ending. the movie is all about quint and his influence over miles. that does not come thru in this movie much at all. yet another adaptation that adds things that were never there and takes away some of the most important parts. if you really want to see what this story is about, and how powerful it is, what "the innocents". after 50 years it is still be best version ever made. subsequent ones butcher the ending. this one basically ignores the real ending and adds mental illness instead. the 1st half of this one was promising but it (again) has let down the author in a terrible fashion

While it is accurate for what it is like to be a teenage muslim girl it is rather mild. parents are usually much more strict than hers. however it still is a bit of an insight. anyone saying this is anti islamic must have some sort of agenda as it is not at all. however i don't think this movie shows anything new, is pretty tame and if anything pro islam. it is slow and somewhat dull. i can't really recommend it unless you have time to kill. it was a little shallow considering what they could have done with the subject matter.

I really liked this movie. it explores the personalities really well. it is relaxing and a feel good movie. some people don't like the ending but i thought it was a nice touch. the acting is excellent. story line very good. time well spent.

The story line was very good. explored a few social issues very well. however i found the movie drawn out, slow and the acting was very weak. if you can overlook the poor acting then it is worth a watch.

This movie would come on tv a lot during school holidays in the 1960's. i saw it countless times and i still think it is one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. brilliant comedy. well written and acted. definitely fun from start to finish.

All i can say about this portrayal of Elvis is that it is the best one ever made. kurt russell is amazing in the role. i first saw this in 1979 and i have never seen one come close to it yet.

Nothing much at all happens in this movie. as for his premonitions there are only about 3 in the whole film. it's not really about that. it's more about his boring day to day life. i really can't say much in favour of this movie but the acting was good. story line pathetic.

I only got a bit past half way with this movie. i found it tedious and boring. scenery was spectacular but nothing else was worth my time.

I just hope younger people realise there is no truth in this account of sharon tate's murder. while it has been said she had visions or dreams beforehand that is the only semi truth in this movie. facts are distorted beyond belief. it goes into some rubbish about how our decisions control our fate and we can somehow change that. this seem pretty disrespectful to her family also. makes her out to be a bit crazy. it's an okay movie but twists history way out of all proportion so should not be taken seriously.
