Salem's Lot (1979)
Best King adaptions
First of all watch the two-part mini series it's over three hours. Every actor is perfectly cast. There is not one wasted scene in the entire mini series. The screenplay has many memorable lines. One of my favorite character is played by the late great James Mason who dominates every scene he's in.
This is one of the best King's book ever filmed. I don't understand why it is rated so low on IMBD. Unfortunately most of the actors has passed on. David Soul, the lead just passed last week. Lance Kerwin passed on a couple of years ago. This is a must watch for horror fans. I watch this every Halloween.
Invisible Ghost (1941)
Cheesy fluff
Only for Bela fans. There is no suspense ,plot or ghost. It's fun to see Bella ham it up in front of the camera. You know who the killer is in the first ten minutes of the movie. Mr. Muse performance is a change from the stereotype roles for black performers in the day.
Inclusion Criteria (2018)
Judy JudyJudy
I admire Judy for growing up not getting hooked on drugs or other bad things that plague child actors. I loved the Waltons up until the 5th season. But this movie is so bad I am wondering if it was a student film. It is suffering from low budget, bad acting, pacing, poor script...on and on. It's hard to believe this was green lighted. Skip this.
Tom and Jerry (2021)
You ruin my childhood!
This movie has nothing to do with Tom and Jerry cartoon. It's 95% live action and 5% crappy animation. The story centers around a wedding planner at a hotel, who predictable is totally inept at her job. Tom and Jerry are merely background players and does not all add to the plot. Aviod this at all cost. Go get a root canal better yet, go clean out your refrigerator, your time would be better spent.
The Evil Touch: A Game of Hearts (1973)
I gave this an extra star because of Darren McGavin
Darren McGavin was a great actor. He was in some of my favorite movies and TV shows, A Christmas Story and the unforgettable Kolchach the Night Stalker. Darren carries this episode and because of that, it's one of the better episodes of the series.
The Evil Touch: Happy New Year, Aunt Carrie (1973)
Shouting at the telly!
Anytime I shout at the telly is not a good sign. The characters were doing unbelievable stupid things. The actors did their best with a lame script and poor directing. Ms Harris was a wonderful actress when given a script worthy of her talent. Skip this one.
The Evil Touch: Heart to Heart (1973)
Don't try to fool Auntie.
Thread worn plot devices is too familiar to surprise anyone. Watching Auntie give nephew his comeuppance is worth the watch . This episode is watchable. It has some slight suspenseful moments during the night scenes.
The Evil Touch: The Lake (1973)
Run of the mill plot.
The plot is average and the outcome is very predictable. What keeps it interesting is Mr. Lansing acting. I appreciate how shows in the past kept actors working by using them in anthology shows. This is a ok episode with the cheating spouse out to murder his or hers other half. Why don't they file for divorce or just leave.
WandaVision (2021)
Acid Trip
This takes me back when there were only three networks and you were force to watch tripe like I Love Lucy or Petticoat Junction. I felt like a hostage watching this cringy show. It took me back to a time where TV sitcoms ruled the airways. Unfortunately they were bland and not funny. I hope this gets better. I will stick around for the third episode but if it doesn't get better I will bury it in the old sitcom graveyard.
The Waltons: The Obsession (1978)
Drugstore Cowboy meets the Walton
Mary Ellen kicks a pill problem in less than a hour...please! This episode lacks credibility because of Ms Norton's wooden acting. I've always had trouble with the Walton children acting ability. When they were younger you could excuse it because of lack of experience, but as they grew older it's hard to ignore. Here is the painful proof that Judy Norton does not have the acting chops to play a convincing pill popping nurse. Aside from that it is clear that Richard Thomas will be sorely missed.

The Mandalorian: Chapter 13: The Jedi (2020)
This is a keeper perfect casting and story.
I'm finally getting my Star Wars fix. After years of being disillusion by the franchise I am finally getting back aboard that Star Wars ship . David and Jon are true Star Wars fans they have saved the franchise. Funny how obscure characters are saving Star Wars. Now they should fix Luke, Han and Leia characters and give them a better send off as they deserve. Thanks Dave and Jon.
The casting in this episode is perfect. I also love seeing an actor who deserved a better career than what he got what a wonderful treat!
Snow Beast (2011)
Cliché
This is a movie where actors need to pay their rent. Not only is the script lame, the acting is sub par. This movie makes you want to scream at telly because the actors do incredible stupid things. Skip this one.
Monsters: Rain Dance (1989)
Like this one watchable
Good creepy episode. I like the statue monster it was kinda scary. FX turning people into stone was decent also. I hope this is a good trend for "Monsters" having better FX. The story wasn't bad either.
Monsters: Fools' Gold (1989)
Nothing special.
Average episode about two miners along with their supervisor finds a mean troll in a mine. The late Jeff Conway plays a stereotype greedy miner who will do anything to get the Troll's gold. Wonder how he ends up? No surprises here, although the man in the troll suit looks a lot better than previous man in monster suits episodes.
Monsters: Their Divided Self (1989)
One of the worst episode. Skip this one.
Where should I start...This barely gets a rating star. The FX were awful. Two men joined together in a oversized suit...please. The script must have been written by a 5 year old adult. The acting was just as moronic. How did this get made? This makes Ed Wood pictures Academy Awards contenders.
Monsters: Glim-Glim (1989)
Avoid this one.
The alien looks like a clay model created by a 4 year old. What were the special effects folks thinking? This is just a bad episode any way you look at it.
Monsters: My Zombie Lover (1988)
Poorly done. Pain to watch, stir clear.
After watching many Monsters episodes I find the best are the ones that are serious. The comedic ones fall flat. This one was just unfunny.
Monsters: Mannikins of Horror (1989)
Great episode watch this one.
Best episode of the series. It's about time they use better special effects. The stop animation was quite effective. I wish other episodes were on this level. Madman in assulym has been done many times but this one was very effective.
Monsters: Sleeping Dragon (1988)
Suffering from a z budget, cheap sets,
Oh my, this was filmed in someone's bathroom. The cheap sets and the cheap monster suit doesn't help this episode. I actually laughed when I the monster. Roger Corman did it better in the '50s.
Monsters: The Vampire Hunter (1988)
Yawn!
The great actor Robert Lansing is wasted in this episode. There is no suspense, horror or storytelling, a run of the mill vampire story. Stoker is turning in his grave!
Monsters: New York Honey (1988)
Lame episode. Skip it
This is a really bad episode. Hard to watch. The dated hair styles and fashions were a annoying distraction. All this episode needed was a disco ball and a Bee Gee song.
Monsters: Holly's House (1988)
Better than the first episode!
Although this is not anything ground breaking, the episode is better than the first. Twilight Zone it's not, you gonna give Serling kudos on how to write great horror stories.
Monsters: The Feverman (1988)
Not too bad but not too good either.
The first episode is just ok. The saving grace is David McCallum who is always great. The monster makeup is cheesy and almost laughable. The ending is predictable and uneventful.
Monsters (1988)
Monsters episodes are uneven.
Some episodes are good while other are downright awful. You can usually tell in the first five minutes of each episodes.
