Bullet Train (2022)

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is simply phenomenal here. Absolutey the most lovable character here.

The movie is ok for low standard and bored audience looking for comedy. Dont look for any seriousness or at least little bit "realism" here. Its like Snatch or Lock Stock but only worse and only in train with over the top story with too much cinderella in it.

Too many characters in it doesn mean bad but the story itself is too much, too over the top and you can see how plastic it is , how calculated it is that theres no reality, no consequences from any action . One of the most scripted movies ever. I look for at least little bit realism so im little bit disappointed.

THIS is PHENOMENAL

Not a SINGLE MINUTE in this entire series is a waste of time. Stunning Jeremy leads 100% great cast. Every character is believable, story is original and perfectly crafted/escalated. If you watched (like me) "We own this city" and got disappointed then trust me, this series is what Bernthal´s series should have been.

Zero boredom, 100% thrill., great pacing and story, relatable characters, everything works and clicks in this.

Looking forward to second season.

Killing Them Softly (2012)

Absolute nonsense

Film tries to be something between Scorsese/Soderbergh/Tarantino material but fails miserably in every aspect.

Very boring. Of course actors/producers like Brad Pitt think its very good style and very insightful movie this one but it isnt. Its foundation lies on last scene wit political opinion ? Ok ... Story is absolutely zero , not relevant. Absolutely simple story streched into one and half hour with zero tension, thrill or style.. Rubbish movie. Not a noir.. 3 stars only for Mendehelson performance.

Super Pumped (2022– )

Absolutely stunning

Look, idk what is true and what was dramatized for the show purposes but i only rate the quality of the show itself.. i genuely believe that Kalanick was/is relatively like Joseph portrays him (giant douche and intelligent monster) but we should be rating the show and the work of producers, actors and makers..

I can only recommend this show , becauce there´s absolutely ZERO boring scenes , all actors are more then watchable , very detailed and straightforward dialogues , powerful "behind the scenes" intriques..

Kyle Chandler and Gordon-Levitt are strongholds of the show and you must watch it if you like shows based on true events..

The Contractor (2022)

This project wanted to rip something off of Bourne/Clancy/Extraction franchises/movies but felt very very short. Producers were like "ok we put Kiefer in two scenes, put him in trailers, show only two action sequences in trailer and we are succesful"

Firstly - this movie is very dumb, theres literally no at least one intelligent action sequence from enemies/police point of view.. absolutely zero logic (famous cliche these days) and lastly Pine is nowhere near the type of actor for this role.. You dont believe him anything in terms of action/shooting sequences. For suporting role ? Sure, why not. He is good looking guy but everything, including him, is wrong in this movie.

Check for yourself.. Sequences in berlin (clash with police , clash with Rusty´s men) have zero logic in terms of how they would escape. German swat de facto deliberately goes to meat grinder without any cover, lol..

Ben Foster´s role is absolutely laughable in terms of motives, in terms of final third movie logic.. Pine s outburts at the end is laughable either.

Not often i offer my review bc lets be honest, evryone should be using his own brain in check movies himself and make is OWN verdict, but if you belong to those people who use reviews to decide if watch movie or not, trust me, you WILL be disappointed if you will watch this and have at least 50% of movie industry good taste for films.

At least this film isnt boring, it really isnt. Its just dumb, non-logical and the end is not logic as well - SPOILER: he wants kill *** to get back to his family, but after being succesful in killing ***, he still holds back behind his family.. reason ?

Manhunt (II) (2017–2020)

Cant recommend enough

First season was great and second one (i am halfway through) is phenomenal in terms of actors - 100/100 casting, great performances from EVERYONE.. absolutely blown away with acting from EVERYONE. Really powerful.

Storline so far absolutely thrilling. I do feel for the victims.. What a terrible monster so-called human being.

I really do recommend both seasons. Phenonemanal and powerful acting , absolutely ZERO boring spots.

I got it this movie is targeting kids under 20 who are stuck in their lifes with keyboards, youtubing and gaiming.. Free Guy is for them but its not entertaining movie, it boring movie with many jokes you have already sad milion times . Reynolds should have better and deeper movies in his crosshair but if these popcorn obscure movies for uneducated and 21st century milenials kids is his prime, then ok ..

Stunning show, love it, dont miss it !

I love political series and this is on the SAME quality and thrill level as House of Cards on its highest ... I dont like Russell Crowe as a person or actor but i admit he is 100% commited. I am 5 episodes in , 2 to go and i can safely say i would recommend it to anyone even to those who dont care about politics or fox news history because the production if this series , directing, acting, and flashback from real events are simply stunning.. Absolutely loving this show. Dont miss it !

Oxygen (2021)

Its NOT scifi , its TENSE movie

In this movie, we are 99% of the time at one place - in the med box so its hardly a scifi only bc of the ending. So women, ladies, girls who always say "i dont like scifi" can watch this easily without being constantly on the phone or simply reject it only bc in title they can see "scifi" tag.

Movie is good , tense is there , graduation is strong and final take is working . Yep its kinda "dreamy" and "predictable" but its not ruining the overall experience. Surely its "simple" movie bc of the whole script and idea and secondly you could argue that one a***oid CAN destroy whole ****, not just little few ****... so the final luck was there in huge take...

Lastly - you can count several nicely crafted "twists" or rather "revelations" ... which should force you to watch film 100% focused.

Spiral (2021)

New take on SAW doesnt work for die hard fans

This film isnt bad at all.. it has gore , it has surprise twist (sadly only one) , but the ultimate fail here is that Spiral movie is only simple revenge movie and if you would named it differently, you wouldnt notice any difference. Sadly , Spiral isnt on same level with SAW masterpiece films (1 , 2 and 3rd ) and more sadly, Spiral moved away from moral base - if you remember , John Kramer hated murderers , never do a trap where the killing was 100% sure thing .. Saw franchise was never about revenge in terms of "you did bad to me, i will kill you.." no ... Spiral sadly does that and final twist is hugely disappointing , making this film simple "mystery killer" one... Oh yes and Spiral has political message too - about policemen killing people (armed or unarmed) without firstly think about consequences... Last scene was very political in that matter and sudden jump the "THE END" title highlights it.. Jigsaw movie was very good at the end, maybe little boring and repetitive but it was great restart/continuation of SAW franchise.. Making new guy a john´s successor.. And here is my biggest problem - i would name 2 - 4 characters who should made it to go back and you Spiral as grand returning to the scene and connect Jigsaw film with Spiral - nope , nothing of this happens and Spiral is standalone , spinoff movie with no SAW franchise framing or resemblance.

For casual viewers its gonna be fun watching but for us - fans (or haters) of Kramer, Lawrence, Zepp, Matthews, Hoffmann, Strahm, Amanda and many more characters - Spiral is very disappointing in terms of connection, franchise revamping, morality and apolitical take ...

Both Denzel and Rami are very good, but Jared Leto is phenomenal even with limited time.. He is surgically good.. Problem is with the story.. So slow first act, basically empty second act and the third one is whatever it is.. I liked unintentional Se7en reference . Its suspencfull but idk if its deliver what would you expect.. I mean, Denzel is portrayed like some kind of great and mysteriously talented detective with focused eye on LITTLE THINGS but i was disappointed overall with the story.

Green Book (2018)

Ok but not powerful enough

Yep i see what they wanted to do with this real life story , but is it really Oscar material ? No.. but it fits perfectly into todays liberal agenda and reversed racism, where white people are dumb and black people are always right, always better.. Forcing this agenda into almost every second movie is you know ... bad... Mahershala Ali is great actor , i loved him in Predators and here as well.. I liked Viggo as well .. The real life story is nice , true friendship build up from the scracth is always something you can get hope from in these days.. But i missed key scenes between those two where the friendship was building.. I mean, i wouldnt want the truth being bended only for movie plot but some key scene should have been more powerful , more philosophical , more opinion vs opinion... 95% of this movie is just banter...

Its not movie about catastrophe , its movie about social behavior. 99% of the movie is focucing on wthat we already know - that peple will always act like morons, idiots and aggresive hordes of sheeps when comes to survival.. 1% of the movie are meteoric scenes and destruction. So the movie show nothing new in terms of human kind behavior . everything bad about humanity is in this movie.. One hour, thirty you see separated family finding the way back to be together.. So boring , so predictable and so out of the line..

Its really bad movie, with questionable logic and wasted script .Oh yes and NON EXISTENT SCIFI in space movie ... Space looks so cheap and like from 80s ... Even Moon sequence..

I know that elections are behind the corner so democrats try to highlight progressive youth... Movie is nothing special but if you like Jeremy Strong Or Eddie Redmayne,, those two guys are PHENOMENAL here in rather slow movie with bad flow and badly crafted flashbacks... Baron Cohen is playing de facto himself.. Movie isnt surely bad, its not boring but its nothing special. My low rating isnt down to anything bad, its just normal movie with nice ending.

Knives Out (2019)

Kinda good but Johnson lost his thoughts

Good one-timer movie with great potential, ruined by poor, usual and boring tools for revelations..

Its good family comedy/drama crime story.. Some things and ideas were cliché , some were good and funny. Certainly its not movie which you will return to every 2 3 4 months like ocean eleven or predator, but it has quality.. Im not the one who trashes Johnson for Last Jedi but i dont think he is some kind of genius either.. Knives Out is very good one-timer with incredible cast and with the most beautiful living thing on the Earth (Ana de Armas). My problem with this movie is the cheesy , predictable and very usual choice of ending and picking the tools to create final revelation. The hidden flashbacks are key and its sad (or stupid ?) to decide NOT to show them to audience because you as the viewer cant play along and decifer who is the killer or the bad guy.. The most and second (but the biggest) problem is second half of the story. It derails from solving the murder case and focuses on social drama regarding with money and greed.. I mean i was very saddened how Johnson decided to finish this movie bc it derailed from detective crime comedy/drama to very mediocre and usual stuff with good guy (de Armas) and bad guy (..?..) Lastly , i blame Johnson to create very stupid and unnecessary political message by trying to say very liberal-ish "Trump bad, illegal immigrants Good, common sense BAD , socialism Good ) . I mean, almost every movie by those very soft directors MUST annoy the half of audience and losing the touch with reality.

Patriots Day (2016)

Quick, straight, decently thrilling

I especially enjoyed those scenes where wahlberg and bacon been recreating those moves before bombings.. This is the part of job i would rly love as a cop or detective.. Sad that this movie is based on true events.. and more sad is when those crimes do washedup and brainwashed young people who are stupider then democratic liberals.. One of those Berg´s watchable movies instead of his supernatural "murica heroes .. right.." (lone survivor ikr ... ). Go watch it if you missed it..Wahlberg is pretty normal and day to day cop here...

Gangs of London (2020– )

Unbalanced

Technically - maybe the best UK tv show ever. Gareth Evans and his fingerprints are clearly visible (fighting scenes, camera, set pieces) in episode 1 and the other one he directed. The rest (6 episodes) are directed by somebody else and its recognizable. Evans is master in mafia/gang story telling as well as in fighting scenes. The rest is purely on social relationships and moving gang story elling forward - sometimes in good / fashionable way sometimes it drags through whole episode... It isnt majestic, exccellent series but its definitely must watch.. As headline says - imho its considerabely unbalanced in quality of storytelling - some lines are unfinished, some are barely important. In summary 6/10 - unbalanced. My main problem was Joe Cole - lack of charisma, his eyes looks high 90% of the screentime , 10% like he wants to cry. Many fight inside organization between factions are unrealistic or are depicted they have started randomly at the death of Wallace but flashback clearly showed that some factions wouldnt cooperate long before events of this miniseries. UK tv production isnt good, its boring , its european (that means often unbalanced , often boring and often self oriented) - but this miniseries are one of the kind . Be aware - many guys here says "Its bloody, its gritty" .. but dont be fooled - it applies only for 2 episodes under helm of Evans , other epsiodes are pure social operas.

Defending Jacob (2020)

Only 3 episodes in like everybody else

Why almost every main character is an idiot ? Father should have re paint the fence with white colour .. nope he washed it with water and soap only to figure out that his wife is smarter and repainted it. Jacob is little dick with typical behaviour of this social networks era . Being stupid , not realizing so many logical things , etc etc. For best example . He found dead body , tried to help but run away bc he realised he sees dead corpse but he wont tell anyone ? ok .. idiot. Black girl Classmate knows obviously more and acts like she really is jacob friend but of course for the sake of the story she acts like she doesnt know anything until the end of 3rd episode. So far the only at least normal and logical person is mother, although i hated when housband called her with 10000% urgency, she has phone in ass pocket but ignoring it ? Jeez at least set the phone on vibrate. What if were anyone dying ? Police station has a tip on local pervert but they dont secretely following him after very shady hearings. This miniseries looks good (even though i hate Chris Evans as an actor). I think i know the answer for the finale but i hate literraly stupid behaviour from many characters.. Episode 4 has release 1th of may and every other episode will be released every friday. (Miniseries has total 8 episodes)

UPDATE after 4th episode: Wife tells everyone "No more secrets" and few minutes later she secretely doing some things which she hides from housband and son .. terrible show.

Dark Waters (2019)

Good movie, actual story from USA

Mark Ruffallo gave nice and good performance , finally in some legit movie after that grotesque circus called avengers . Sad story which only confirms that NOTHING in this world is important more than money and power/pressure on politics. The movie isnt easy to watch for two reasons: 1) story content is not for naive, liberal youth who rage against everything these days. 2) visual filter of the movie - all colours tuned down, you watch almost black and white . its due to atsmosphere of chemical poisoning - so you watch "chemical" screen. Its sad what you will read at the end.

Extraction (2020)

Its technically good but not John Wick good

Russo brothers wanted to explore another type of movie, they changed green sheet to real movie production for normal adult people and not for kids and teens. Story-wise , extraction is hollow, shallow movie but hey , same as for example predator or john wick , but those movies have some soul and created cult. Extraction is dumb, sweaty , gipsy but very good in execution.. I dont like Hemsworth , because he is not actor, he is movie model for audience, precious Russo brothers asset generating money. Extraction is very good if you want lazy movie and if you want to compare this flick to John wick or john wick 3 (i admit john wick 2 is inferior). You dont get bored, but you will be annoyed how cliche-esque the main character is. At least , again, if youre normal , adult human, not avengers empty fan. Actions scenes are good, well, not good, fantastic, and comparison with John Wick is in place but somehow extraction offers another angle, technically and with sorroundings. Plot is really hundred times recycled material with one big logical whole and with very annoying - liberal-esque ending where director and Russo brothers AGAIN are scared to make THEIR OWN decision but instead they again wanted to satisfy 100% of the audience, not 25 or 50. I recommend only if you want to see technically great movie with perfect action scenes.. nothing more.

The Gentlemen (2019)

Ressurected Ritchie but without humour

Great as usual. Guy Ritchie lost nothing from his talent being so long out of radar after Snatch and Smoking barrels. Gentlemen is fine, twisty gansgter movie, but (sadly ?) without sharp humour, without funny characters. Its not criticism, its just information for Ritchie lovers. Absolutely perfect Matthew (i cant write his surname correctly) , but for me the best man was charlie (i cant write his surname correctly). Certainly must-see gangster , semi-comedy , but its rather dark-ish gangster flick with occasional jokes.. That being said, its not criticism, its something slightly new form Guy Ritchie and you will be still perfectly served.

The Way Back (I) (2020)

Dont get me wrong, i like the O´Connors work. BUt here , nothing is realistic. I know you probably know Matt Goldberg from collider and his the biggest and giant pain in the ass but sometimes i try to make reasonable and constructive criticism, so i hope you will understand.. SPOILERS ! 1) team Jack inherited is described as the weakest, dumbest and cluelest of all.. And from MY coaching experience (not basketball, other major sport) i know that those radical changes and path to success (in this case playoffs) takes MORE than few weeks ! I know, the movie is only 2 hrs so, but i think script here is bad bc they shoukd write it like entire first season was disappoiting, Jack is getting more drunk and only second season is like redemption, It would be more realistic..First season should have been portrayed more quickly in just results and paper headlines flashbacks.

2) I missed deeper Jacks character in terms of dealing and struggling. I mean, im sorry but the movie is about lost and alcoholism i get it but every human being is responsible for own actions and i got feeling that we should feel sorry for Jacks problems.. It was cliché..

3) What i missed most was sporting side of the story.. Deeper connection between Jack and players.. Only we got was cliché after another (arrogant player going late - apology - coming back to team, young captain who has sad life and makes the most important scoring in entire season , fatso and clown... Theres nothing new , nothing what we alredy havent seen ..

In summary , still i liked the movie . Im not part of the snowflake or woke movement - i didint feel for Jack , i enjoyed sporting side of the story as much as i could. Drinking, getting sober is cliche and is wrong if we as society make excuses for people who drink, crashing cars, being dangerous for other people.. So the "lost , drinking and depression side" of the story i would appreciate better touch, new dimension, better storytelling. It was kinda lazy for me..

Still good movie to watch.

The Outsider (2020)

Its de facto another season of True Detective

Its dark , its joggling between reality and unreal or unexplained things. Few actings are great but sorry Ben Mendelsohn is annoying. He is NOt great and this casting is a typical swing and miss.. Stereotype where nothing can be explained in realistic manner vs detective who doesnt believe in supernatural and unexplained things. First episode was fantastic, gritty, dark and supernatural in its premise. But episode after episode it was losing its drive , but in detective sense of show quality , its great imho. Some characters are cliche and stereotype (Mendelsohn, Lawyer), others are good , especially Jason Batemans character and his wife.. The most satisfying scenes were those with murderer covered with hoodie but for example sketches from kids and from detective wife should have been milked better and with very dark music theme.. Overall good tv show in its first half. Second half is boring and totally un-original- Last, 10th episode is pure steal from IT movie and the shootout was laughing stock when people started to show up for clear sniper shooting, i mean where was some kind of realistic behaviour ?

Promising start was ruined by creators who choose to be very un-original and the mystery was gone , replaced by pure cliche and the horror part from the beginning was absolutely trashed.

From 7, i downgraded to 4.

For True Detective lovers its still a must.
