God Forbid (2022)
Ehhh
Giancarlo's story was really interesting... and somewhere along the way it turned into an anti-trump anti-evangelical story and lost me. Not because I'm not anti-trump, although not necessarily anti-evangelical, it just seemed like too much of a hit piece. BTW Liberty is really no different than any other college campus when it comes to college boys abusing college women - it's disgusting and should be prosecuted, but it happens everywhere so why through it in? I just didn't get it.
If they had stuck with Giancarlo's story versus Falwell vs Tito etc that would have made a ton of sense. Trump got way too much press.
Blonde (2022)
What the
It was like a cross between the thin red line and a train wreck. The actors were great... the movie is a mess. The director tried to make an art house meets bombshell Shakespeare tragedy. Andrew Dominik should never be given money to make a movie by anyone ever again. I realize that Norma Jean was preyed upon, coveted, and treated like trash by so many, however, the story made zero sense. I understand how they were trying to portray Marilyn, but my god could we have made the story coherent. Thank god it wasn't released in the theaters. The Kennedy scene at the end was unnecessary and grotesque. Ana has been great in everything she's done and was a believable Norma Jean, unfortunately the way the move was edited and written her performance will only be remember for being NC17. What a waste.
Walking Tall (2004)
18 years later...
The movie kinda holds up. I. Recently rewatched it and maybe I liked it more because it reminded me of my youth or because it was just a fun movie. I watched it with my 8 year old and he loved it. Which is strange because he pretty much doesn't like anything with a made date before he was born.
Hustle (2022)
Awesome Sports movie
Great sports movie with Shockingly good acting by a ball player.
Adam is he usual good to great, his relationship/chemistry with Queen L was fun to watch. Kenny beat Charles to the screen as usual. Anthony Edwards was a really good antagonist.
The only thing missing was Gene Hackman to make it the best basketball movie of all time.
Interceptor (2022)
B movie and that's being kind
Leads were good. Think 80's B movie.... They didn't need to make up the "she grew up in Spain nonsense... there are a ton of Hispanic soldiers w ESL accents". Threw me off in the first 5 mins.
See (2019)
Great 1st 8
Loved the first 8 episodes. All of the leads were strong and the story had a cool arch. Excited for season 2. Jason is keep up with the ever great Alfrie W. Great ensemble and all around story.
Just Mercy (2019)
Fantastic Movie based on real events
Great across the board. Acting, directing et al...
This is a story and a problem that needs more focus. Equal justice under the law for all Americans.
