Brideshead Revisited (1981)
Bittersweet perfection of a masterpiece
This BBC production of Brideshead Revisited is fantastic in a way that it is almost word by word from the book. But what makes it one of the best all time TV drama series is the casting. Jeremy Irons and Anthony Andrews are perfect as Charles and Sebastian. But not just those two. This show is filled with best and brightest of British actors. My personal favourite performance is Charles's father played by Sir John Gielgud. He is hilariously quirky in the book and even more bizarre in the show. Most of this story is a very bittersweet romantic drama with some flashbacks to pure joy of youth. I don't want to give up any spoilers, read the book, watch the show, neither will disappoint.
The Peripheral (2022)
Willam Gibson!
I fell in love with William Gibsons works in 1987, I got a book for my birthday called Neuromancer, the first book in Gibsons Sprawl trilogy, followed by Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive. Written in a dark Film Noir style of a near future. I have read the trilogy more than ten times over and it is a never-ending entertaining experience. I haven't read The Peripheral but watching this first season I got a lot of Gibson wibe. This is very good! Good casting, most actors are great in their roles, good directing, the story and events are very good visualized. I will prolly never see a Sprawl Trilogy on TV or in a movie, but this is rly good.
So far this is a 10/10 for me.
The Catch (2016)
Not Bad Not Good, somewhat entertaining
There are moments when I like this show, and there are moments when I think it's utterly beyond anything good. First of main character, Mireille Enos, I liked her very much in the show Hanna, badass, ruthless, heartless CIA operative, think she was brilliant. But here she's PI or security consult or something, writing is just very weak most of the time, not sure what she supposed to be. I just don't buy it, and if I like something I can buy a lot, but here no. Still, it's not a 1/10 I see some have rated it as such and it's far better than the worst I've seen. But I also see ppl rated it as an 10/10 and that's just nuts, if anyone tells you this is the best they ever seen, never ever trust that person. There are some characters that are amusing, specially the brother and sister from England, they rather shoot you instead of... well they just rather shoot you period, that makes you want to see next episode. But if you want to watch a smart heist, gentleman robber, conman show, watch White Collar with Matt Bomer, that's a 9/10 on my scale.
Dexter: Everything Is Illumenated (2010)
MAZUKA!!!!
Absolutly the most hillarios episopde of all Dexters
Mazuka rules the crime scene "Ok I know what happened here"
Killing Eve (2018)

As lovely as scary as monstrous she is, I can't help my self falling in love with this gorgeous psychopathic fem fatale . Jodie Cramner is a true gem. I will not give away any spoilers but this show is rly rly good. rly rly Good!
Hamilton (2020)
Hamiltom,.Why?
This is almost a good spy TV show if they remove the name Hamilton
This is not an adaptation from the books,
They use the name and some carracters appear but the story and relations are all wrong
As I see it, (I have read all 12 books), there are a few things that's in the books
1 Name, yes his name is Carl Gustav Gilbert Hamiltom
2 DG, there is a caracter in the swedish military intelligence called DG (Den Gamle = The Old one) Thought in the books he's a sort of mentor to Hmailton and a retiered spymaster.
3 There is a director in the swedish security polis by the name Näslund who hates arabs..
4 Hamilton Studies Computer Sience in San Diego while secretly being traing by the the Navy seals, he also get some CIA field op training. But details are never explained in the books
5 There is a woman by the name of Mona in PLO intelligence.
The real Hmailton saga takes place in the late stages of the cold war.
Jan Guillou, a swedish journalist/writer set out to write10 books about a swedish spy. A rise and fall you if you willl. He actually wrote 12 books about Hamilton but book 11 is all about a female PLO intelligence officer by the name of Mona and book 12 is to give Hamilton a sort of happy ending. The Books are far better then Ian Flemmings works but they will not land Mr Guillou a Nobel price. They are thouhtfull and entertaining but at times sadly skewd
The two first books became movies where Hamilton was played by the great swedish actor Stellan Skargård.
