Mst3k
7 June 2017
I got into MSt3K late on and have only found episodes on Netflix. I loved the original series but sadly I have not got to see all the series and I believe that there are episodes and series lost and that I am so sad about if true.

So I am making most of the Netflix showing the MST3k the return. For those lucky enough to have seen more of the original done by Joel who had a wonderful imagination and has the same fascination for B movies and taking scenes and giving the robots the chance to add comedy and well timed humour.

This current series is clever and original. It would have been wrong to try and 're do things as before and as time moves forward people age and people's perception of what they find funny has changed. For me I love the series and all credit for Netflix making this available for people like me not in USA and not able to access programmes easily. So give this a chance and support Joel and the writers to keep this series going.

Yongary as seen on Mst 3000

Warning: Spoilers
For a south Korean movie first one I have seen it was very much like early Godzilla like monster with a rhino horn. This could be based on an old story or part of historical culture.

The clothing a mix of traditional and modern clothing in 1967. Smoking was seen by people a lot and second hand smoking over a child now would be not acceptable but I guess a cigarette company may have had funding in movie budget.

Monster looked like a toy as commented on by robots in MST 3000 and again well worth watching in this format for humour. Made me laugh. Not very much blood and not scary for children.

Dubbed into English but still made me laugh. Model space rocket worth a look.

The loves of hercules

Warning: Spoilers
I have never seen a Jane Mansfield film before and in this film she stars opposite her husband. The film was very much like films of its time. Very high quality costumes and a lot of screen time for the main actors.

Models such as the hydra and the big foot used in the scenes are very much like that models and a man in a costume. But they are funny as the comments by robots tom servo and croooow. Acting at times as wooden as the trees in the Amazon women scenes but the death scenes where characters die show no blood and looks like fake deaths.

Well worth watching on mst 3000 and watch show in its entirety. I have missed the humour that made this show a cult following and Netflix has made return of MST 3000 worth watching. If you do not like 2 robots commentating on films this is not the show for you. Just watch or buy film to see it it if that is better but I love watching films with the added humour.

Pumaman

Saw this on movie theatre 3000. It was low budget but was so funny with dodgy camera shots and tom and crooooows humour making it a laugh a minute.

Not sure if it was meant to be taken seriously but I needed a good laugh and would watch it again. Without the added humour it would be less funny from not having the aside comments.
