Spirited (2022)
Another Will Ferrel win!
I absolutely LOVED this movie!
We always see a Christmas movie on Thanksgiving and I'm so glad we saw this movie. Between the musical, the banter between the characters and the entire backstory.. this was a great movie. The duo of Ryan and Will was so funny and I love the two of them together.
I was skeptical to see ANOTHER rendition of a Christmas Carol because there's been so many but this version and this rendition was so so good.
Few tear jerking moments and so many laughs, love Will Ferrel. It makes me want to go back and watch all the other Christmas Carol versions now but this one will be a favorite, for sure!
Pumpkin Pie Wars (2016)
Such a sweet movie!
Hallmark movies that bring back actors/actresses from other favorite films of mine, immediately a winner for me! Christmas with the Kranks is a holiday favorite of mine and seeing one of the main actresses (the daughter) be cast in this Hallmark movie was a great surprise for me. I was excited to watch this as soon as she was introduced!
Right away, I thought the plot of this movie was great and I love how this family feud is being passed down from the moms and onto their grown children. As all of these films have cheesy plots or storylines, I thought this one was a good balance of corny & good storytelling.
I love a good love story with a sappy ending and I'm glad this movie included romance and friendship into its focus.
I would watch this again, sweet movie!
In Merry Measure (2022)
Sweet family values!
This movie was adorable and had such sweet and genuine family values embedded.
I loved the way they discussed grief and loss in a way that wasn't horribly depressing but it was still very realistic and done in a way that many people can identify with, myself included.
The way the relationship came together in this movie was so sweet. I always love the predictability of a good Hallmark movie and this one did not disappoint. For the majority of these movies, we tend to see the male character make such big changes or sacrifices to be with their new loved one in the film and this was great to see the roles reversed.
As always, the acting and many of the scenes were incredibly campy/cheesy/corny but I loved this movie and would watch it again!
Falling for Christmas (2022)
This was so sweet!
I loved this new Christmas movie!
I was so excited to see LL back on my screen and she did a great job in such a sweet & wholesome Christmas movie.
Hallmark & Netflix movies are just that.. they're cheesy and predictable. I always go into these movies knowing exactly how it will play out and they always leave me with that warm & fuzzy feeling at the end. The plot is almost always the same, the love story always feels it came directly out of our typical romance novel and we always get the sweet ending that we love so much.
I would go see this movie in an actual movie theater but watching in my Christmas jammies put me in a happy & festive Niven and
Adorable movie!
