I saw excerpts from this film that are included in the excellent documentary "Forbidden Films." "Homecoming" presents Polish persecution of ethnic Germans as a reality. To the best of my knowledge, this was a fabrication. It reminded me of Russia's present-day accusations of genocide against ethnic Russians by Ukraine, which appear to be groundless.

Lichtmesz23 claims in their review that Poles really did commit "pogrom-like assaults (including murder and manslaughter)" against ethnic Germans prior to the German invasion of Poland. I would like to know if anyone can cite reliable sources in support of this assertion.
