Same old boring story trying to keep Priscilla relevant. How many times can this be told??? We all get it, she married extremely young, has been in abusive relationships over and over and that's it. Starts slow and only gets slower. To much emphasis on trying to make Priscilla into a heroine. One thing you can say, she has milked every opportunity to make money. 45 minutes in and you're thinking this is deja-vu of all other violin string depictions. It is so old. The Elvis part of her life is a short blip in her nearly 80 years. Yet, still after all this time it's the only part she focuses on. Sad living in the past saga.

Can't believe we sat through this mediocre waste of time. Dull and boring.. Ho-hum all the way..this did not deliver anything... Ray Romano is better than this or so I thought. It's as if he were looking up into the sky thinking "what in the hell can I write about"? .. Boring dull storyline, characters, the whole thing..Sometimes it's better to do nothing than try to stay relevant with garbage like this. Stay on top and in people's memory with a little dignity for Gods sake. . Disappointed in this sham of a farce passed off as entertainment. Save your money and see anything else. Bland as old oatmeal....

Love this movie... James Caan is great and natural as the evil father. Dennis Quaid comes off nicely as the gloomy haunted young man with nightmarish memories. Meg Ryan is good but overacts throughout 3/4 of the film. Good chemistry all around.

So sad to see great iconic actors reduced to this. A silly parody of old folks.. I am surprised that the great James Caan agreed to do this role...,should be playing the patriarch of a mobster family or a retired police Lieutenant in a good drama?,..that I could believe and enjoy, but this was so cringeworthy and subpar I felt embarrassed and so sad for him and Ellen Burstyn. I wish I had never seen it. To me it sullies their career legacies. A 180 turnaround of 2 great performers. Cartoonish ridiculous roles so uncharacteristic and beneath them both.

I can watch this over and over.. Great flick shot in Texas. In Warren Oates biography it was stated that he wanted Madeline Kahn to play the role of his wife Alice, instead of Loretta Swit. It does seem that he and Loretta Swit didn't have the chemistry on screen that Peter Fonda and Lara Parker had. Overall a great movie!

Enjoyed in the early 80's, now it just seems silly. I love Sally Field movies but she over-acts in this film. James Caan is good but I see now why he hated this movie.. Jeff Bridges steals the show. Like some old relationships this is one movie best left in the past.

The whole show is a about cowboys and Indians play acting being Tony Soprano.... Even J. R. Ewing would laugh his a** off at these Over the top unrealistic storylines continually, before he fired the whole crew. Kevin Costner (Daddy Dutton) ) seems to be on a a one dimensional sedative at all times. At least Tony Soprano could be lighthearted and human in between beating somebody up. Getting a little tired of Beth and her continual-all the time bad a** attitude..I'm surprised a computer remote control her Wonder Woman/King Kong self because she seems to be made of wires, plus she looks like a worn-out bar lizard in most episodes. In real life I'm not sure even Rip would put up with all her crap... not to mention Daddy. Amazing how the writer ponders these mind-boggling laughable cartoon scripts together .

Hallmark, you can do better than this..Mariah Carey's haughty attitude ruined this movie... Hallmark Christmas movies do not need characters with attitudes like this, that's why it's called a Hallmark Christmas movie. And we sure don't want someone like Mariah Carey being showcased in a Christmas movie... that's as far from her personality as it gets.

Steven Millers real name is Eban McDowell ... I don't understand why the names were changed in this episode ... The family should want their son to know what he's done and the world to know what he has done ...if you look up the name Steven Miller you will find nothing.... but I was able to find the real name.

One of the goofiest movies of all-time that was simply made thinking that they were going to spawn a big successful line of clothing. Period. I remember that being the first thought we had when hearing about this farce.. and we were just kids! This was back in the Urban Cowboy/ J.R. Ewing/ Dallas/ Willie Nelson, Texas hoopla. Jeans and Texas were all the rage. And this was a scheme to capitalize on it and start a fad. Which thank God never got to first base. Ryan ONeal was his cute self throughout, and thats its saving grace.. I'm sure at the time xecs and producers thought he'd be able to pull off another Love Story success complete with a rack of jeans at Macy's.
