Heatwave (2022)
Kat Graham is always worth a watch
Quite cliche and the plot is very transparent to the point you can predict what's about to happen next yet I'm here for kat Graham she makes it worth watching
Is it "gone girl" level? No... but it's close enough.
We get quite a lot of character arc from almost all the cast which adds to the plot the movie title doesn't really reflect the plot too well
Yes this all takes place during a heatwave but it is more centred on romantic heat & chemistry. A fatal love affair, murder, secrets and money it's definitely worth more than an overall 5.0 rating
This might have been better as a limited series but I'd recommend it for others to watch
8/10.
The Royals (2015)
Hot mess
If you're 15-24 and enjoy the likes of one tree hill, dynasty, gossip girl and 90210 then you're in luck
This recycled trope genre is back with a royal twist. It's a guilty pleasure watch for sure so I'll probably commit to watching all 40 episodes. That said, it's terribly cringeworthy and writing is lazy
Lower your expectations for this goofy nonsensical series
I'd have liked to have seen serious struggles and issues be addressed! Lacks diversity and originality.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Bit of a mess
Thought going in that since the spell he cast in Spider-Man would result in fall out with the multiverse I was shocked to see where it really went with a Hispanic teenager unknown how to use their powers would be the plot of the movie
I thought wanda would be assisting dr strange in the movie to fix the broken spells but that was certainly not the case
I can't decide if that's where I would have went with wanda her story from wandavision was so tragic it felt almost regressive of her character
Doctor strange did a good job with his parental role in this one but I don't know something didn't set in like it did with previous MCU movies. Lacked something.
Hard Cell (2022)
Worth the 2 hours overall
Mixed feelings a couple of episodes in but continued on and I'm glad I did! Tate does a good job with all of these characters and fully enjoyed the twist at the end wasn't expecting it would enjoy a second season.
Screw (2022)
Was good but could have been better
Binged on all episodes at once which I found enjoyable but I don't think I could have followed it week to week there was a real lull in places I feel like it missed to hit the mark in places but I suppose every pilot series has its issues, will look forward to a second season hopefully works out the bugs.
