Shakthi: The Power (2002)
nana is the best in Indian cinema
good movie, good music, good background and an acceptable plot. but the main point again as his movies tend to be, the man is the best actor in idia and can turn dust into gold. nana patekar. this may be his second best performance after parinda( others may disagree). although other movies are not far behind. one man that will never ever disappoint you.
good movie although i think shahrukh was a luxury this movie could have done without. you can see in his movies, others try very hard to reach his heights and act out of their skins. but this man is really something elase.
the movie is cool, the music and direction is excellent plot a bit thin but the screen play and dialog again very good. a must watch.
Apaharan (2005)
outstanding
although Nana is again excellent in this movie, mohan agashe and Ajay devgan are very very good and not very far behind story about corruption, bribery and power, this is a story that repeats all over the subcontinent, every day. in the name of religion, money, sympathy, the politicians and the rich use human beings every day. and every one is in it except the common man any ways a must watch, the background music is very very good and so is the plot and characterisation
Nana is again at his best but restrains his act and plays a calm politician set in his mind to what ever it takes to do what he wants, although other characters have all unique roles and have their own affairs.
a good characterisation that tells a story of several people at the same time
all in all at times a weepy, but mainly a very entertaining and gripping story that will have different people different sympathies with different characters. it will take something to beat this one
Sarkar (2005)
amitabh....the overrated
when i saw the trailer of this movie, i though it would be an outstanding movie. excellent plot, excellent direction, but what stopped this movie from being an outstanding movie is, i am afraid AMITABH. the great actor raj kumar said one'' i do not consider amitabh even a good actor'' how truth full was he. from an angry man, he has turned into an ''angry old man'' in this movie. would any one compare this performance to say kamal hassan's nayagan or nana patekar's tabrez alam? i am afraid not. don't take me wrong, good entertainment, however, even though i am a big fan of his....he is limited to what he can bring to a movie like this, i couldn't help thinking would any one else had done more justice to this role. i cant even imagine him as the new GABBAR SINGH. i am just hoping he comes out with something different, other wise amjad khan would be turning in his grave............
