#Horror (2015)
Surprising
I don't get all the hate for this movie. I actually enjoyed it, found it suspenseful, didn't find the acting shocking at all, and just thought it was good all round. I enjoyed the social media imagery interspersed throughout and felt it made it more unnerving. For what I expected based on previous reviews, I was really pleasantly surprised.
Mystery Road (2018)
Not enough good things to say
I love a good Aussie Drama, and this one delivered. Totally brilliant casting and the landscapes were beautiful. Couldn't tear myself away from this series and could easily watch it more the once. Cream of the crop.
Occupation (2018)
Not even sure why all the negative reviews...loved it!
Enjoyed the relationships between the characters, the level of action, the effects...I couldn't actually find much I didn't like about it...
Ghostland (2018)
Total Heartstopper
Wow. Nothing like I expected. Well thought out, fist clenching violence I just couldn't tear myself away from. Spectacular offering.
The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018)
Actually really enjoyable
I really enjoyed this movie. I was expecting your usual "Wrong Turn" type of movie but found the suspense building really successful and found myself holding my breath on occasion. Would watch it again.

No expectations but a pleasant surprise
I wasn't expecting much as I have never seen or heard about this movie before. I couldn't stop watching! Didn't end quite the way I expected, which was great. Dark undertones and overall creepy feel to the film I felt was really well executed.
Pet Sematary (2019)
Fan of the Old, and Fan of the New
Normally I find the idea of rehashing what I've always seen as a classic movie to be a bad move, so being a fan of the original Pet Sematary, I went in with the expectation that it would be potentially a letdown. I was, however, pleasantly surprised. The characters were very well layered and seeing a differences in their characters from the original was great.
Us (2019)
Brilliant Movie That Leaves You Thinking
Us was a brilliantly acted movie with a unique twist I did not see coming. The social and universal themes running through the movie act really leave you considering the world we live in well after the movie has ended.
Mandy (2018)
Enjoyable Acid Trip
Loved the atmosphere in this movie. The absurdity of some of the characters, odd people, full frontal nudity, filming style and savagery added up to a movie that left me thinking I'd just been taken on an acid trip.
