Wolf Creek (2005)
Scary and desolation combined
This movie cost me a thumbnail. As an Australian and understanding of the remoteness of some outback areas i just felt hopeless which added to the horror . You might be lucky to find a road and think youre saved but that hope would soon crush you. All the factors of the Australian continental geography and uniqueness are squashed together with some "redneck" inhumanity to make a terrifying movie which keeps you on edge. Even the bits you can kinda guess smash you further with no reprieve. I am sitting writing this review with Wolf Creek 2 on pause. The right thumb nail is gone, the left awaits the next instalment of Australiana horriblisss 😂
Chuck & the First Peoples Kitchen (2020)
Unique insights
Unique insights into ways of life of resilient people. Amazing landscapes and Chuck blends right in checking out the food how its hunted, caught, gathered and used, always with respect and gratitude. Beautiful series. There is also a focus on how ancient and historical techniques have shifted in time to todays generations and how the elders are using their knowledge and love of the land to heal their people in their transition and ensure that there culture stays alive and vital. There is also the opportunity to witness many sustainable practices and ways of living very relevant to us all. Made me feel a deep admiration for people who embrace the world as it is without trying to change it !
Wrath of Man (2021)
Powerful stuff
Intense movie driven by the music and all the components cleverly put together by Ritchie- characters, time sequences, motivations etc. Put yourself in any characters shoes and you have one hell of a ride...
I loved every minute of it but then again i went into the theatre expecting to enjoy myself!
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
Interesting drama
Look there is no perfection right, so lets be positive. Some good characters, semi believable plot, great mix of goodies and baddies and the fire scenes are really kind of terrifying. Well worth watching..different and kind of compelling 😊
