Well acted but after a promising start goes rapidly downhill.
The longer it went on the less I cared about the characters.

Truly awful Film,one of the worst I have ever seen,the humour of a seven year old delinquent with a story written by a two year old.Thankfully I will never have to watch this utter garbage ever again.
As a Coen Brothers fan this Film sticks out like a sore thumb and the amount of praise it gets leaves me scratching my head at mankind.
The music like the film is annoying and the story is riddled with holes in it.
Anybody who likes this film i put a black mark against its that bad.
Avoid like the plague.

Ill Manors

Undone by a lack of a plot

stylish, well acted and narrated in rap ILL manors has some things going for it but is undone by a poor story at the heart of it.
Too many characters fit together,using the same toilet in a pub unknown to each other as a stashout, a guy who is caught red handed by Police shooting someone simply runs into the nearest pub for instance and off their tail, a fragile hooker takes on an armed Russian gang with a small brick to rescue her friend etc There is nobody in the film with any values and the abandoned baby story on a train to one of the orphan characters is cringe worthy.
This Film never made it into the Cinema in my City and after watching it on DVD I can understand why.
Avoid.

Very disappointing film,not even The wonderful Emily Blunt or JGL could save this film.
On paper it looked a great film but very little character development and a mish mash of films ( including 12 monkeys, The Omen and Terminator) reduced what could have been an excellent film to barely watchable.
No characters in the film show much emotion and it really is time travel by numbers with a token love story thrown in.
How this Film got so much praise is a mystery to me with Willis beating up everyone in sight cringe worthy like JGL face and fake nose.
Time travel,the future,the whole nut and bolts of the story are just skimmed over as an afterthought.
Overall very disappointing.

An awful film, very overrated.
It is basically a kids movie with a couple of scary monsters and a few violent scenes.It is very like the Directors other film, The Devils Backbone.After all the hype about this Film I decided that maybe it was better than his previous Film but how wrong I was.
The plot is very thin and cannot be excused or condoned just because it has a few Fairies in it.
After seeing this Film I have talked to many others who agree with me, totally over-hyped.
Do yourself a favour and get something else instead.

One of my favourite Films of all time. Top notch performances all round especially turturro and Sam rockwell.
Sad,funny,inspiring and always entertaining this is a film that stays in your mind forever and one to watch over and over again.
The Cinematography is sublime, while the screenplay is spot on.
For Film fans who like their films with a great story .
Not for the blockbuster merchants.
In short : A Classic.
Do yourself a favour and rent this movie out.
Tom dicillio at his best.
