The Secret Ingredient (2020)
Make Star Look-Alike
This was an enjoyable, easy to watch movie. Smokey Robinson's "Really Got A Hold On Me" was a great touch! Does anyone else think Brendan Penny very much favors a young Paul Newman!
Christmas in Evergreen: Bells Are Ringing (2020)
Wanted to Love it, but.......
Wow Hallmark! I rarely review anything, but this was such a disappointment I couldn't resist. The actors were fine, but the writers messed up the story lines. There were too many loose ends. When did Ally and Ryan marry (and she's pregnant no less) and what are they doing in France! Wasn't Ryan supposed to be formerly established as the town's doctor? And there was no mention of Lisa (Jill Wagner) who bought Ms. Daisy's store - another main fixture of the Town of Evergreen! I hope there's at least one more Evergreen movie to clean up this last one!
Once Upon a Prince (2018)
Sweet Escape From Today
This is one of my favorite "Royal" movies (saved it on DVR). I love lighthouses and think opening scenes are refreshing. Meghan Park and Jonathan Keitz are a really good match (and I thought he carried his British accent quite well). One of my favorite scenes is when the Prince is teaching her to waltz in the ballroom. The music is lovely and the chemistry between them at that point is perfect (and I love how her sister is looking approvingly down on them)!
It's Christmas, Eve (2018)
Heart Touching
In my opinion, this Hallmark movie stands out above most. The characters come across as "real" rather than just acting. I like the pace of the movie and the music. LeAnn's voice is so touching singing this song. Having two grown daughters myself, I'm so touched by the scene towards the end when she's talking with her mother and telling her "I don't know what to do." That part always leaves a catch in my throat! I think all the actors were perfect in the roles they played! Definitely a "Ten!"
