Gilligan's Island (1964)
Ginger wins in the end...
So, in the end Ginger wins by out living all the other regular cast members. I have fond memories of Gilligans Island from my childhood. RIP to all those that finally got off this island.
Hanna: Do Not Sleep (2021)
Girl Power
One of the best shows I've binged on in quite some time. If you suspend critical thinking like the ol' 2 wire car hotwire, sidearms holding 30 bullets in a standard magazine and a few other flaws and just allow the story to entertain, You'll be entertained.
Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project (2007)
Timeless
I would love to hear Don Rickles. George Carlin, Richard Pryor and Robin Williams take on our current cancel culture. Gotta believe they wouldn't cave.
Acts of Violence (2018)
Its a Bruce Willis movie...yippee ki yay...
Its a Bruce Willis movie so don't expect too much and you won't be too disappointed, but this one falls short of even that. Don't expect intelligent dialog or a good script. The movie is just a vehicle for shoot em up action and a paycheck for Willis. You don't even have to pay attention. Cole Hauser contributes the best acting.
Atlas Shrugged II: The Strike (2012)
Seems like Prophecy
Watching this in 2021 these Atlas Shrugged 1,2 &3 movies seem prophetic.
Alien Code (2018)
Worth the watch.
An original twist on the Alien subject. Better if watched with a buzzzz.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Terminator terminated
Special effect were good but this movie seemed like one big Hollywood political virtue signaling statement full of all the typical stereotypes. I gave it 3 stars instead of 1 only because Linda Hamilton was back..
The Martian (2015)
My favorite space movie.
Excellent summary of the book. Fantastic seamless CGI. Fabulous scenery. Great acting.. Wonderful soundtrack.
Encounter (2018)
Ugh already
Starts with military, FBI and Sheriff tactile style raid, yet the fat male FBI agent and his hot female sidekick stand out in the open, with no vests, him in his sunglasses on an overcast day while a gun battle ensues in the background. Its off to a greaaat beginning. Let's see if I can get through this. If I can I'll update my review.
Capone (2020)
Booooring
I gave this 2 stars only because Tom Hardy, who i think is one of the great actors of our time, tried.
Flight World War II (2015)
Good for background noise
My favorite part was when the stewardess started knocking guys out with a fire extinguisher.
Suburbicon (2017)
Blaaaaahhhhh
Couldn't even get past half way. I'm a fan of Cohen Bros movies but this one is terrible and a waste of my time. Maybe its Clooney's directing. Seems to be loaded with politics and stereotypes. Seems to be happening a lot these days from Follywood. In any event, moving on.
Model Shop (1969)
Ahh yes, the uncertainty of the Viet Nam era...
I recently watched a new documentary on the music scene in Laurel Canyon during the time period of this movie, which was high school era for me. This movie was mentioned so I chased it down. An odd flick but captures the general bizarness of that time. Evidently it had its influence on Crosby Still Nash and Young. Worth watching if you have an hour thirty to blow.
Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones (2019)
THANK YOU DAVE CHAPPELLE!!!!!
Dave has always been one of my favorite comedians because his humor is intelligent, has layers, makes you think about things and the punchline always has a twist. There is the hilarious setup and punchline. Then there is a perceived meaning behind. Then there is a possible 2nd conflicting meaning behind the first meaning which may in fact be the real hidden meaning. But this time he has outdone himself. Just when we needed it most. Thank you Dave Chappelle!!
The Twilight Zone: Replay (2019)
Really???
I mean, really?
This is not typical Twilight Zone material. It's racebait & obviously intended to smear using the stereotypical fat bald prejudice white cop routine meant to fan the flames of turbulence going on right now in the real world. Shame on CBS for creating this. And this is not the only CBS show to do this. The new Star Trek Discovery is just as bad. I'll be canceling my CBS ALL ACCESS sunscription.
The Family (2019)
Separation of Church and State misrepresentation
The First Amendment of The Bill of Rights states;
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
If you doubt that is what it says, download a copy of the Bill of Rights and read the Amendment for yourself. There is no copyright on the law of the land.
The key phrase is an "establishment of religion". Nowhere in the 1st Amendment does it say that any politician, including the President, cannot participate in or express their spiritual and religious perspective or to even work to influence others to agree.
The burden is on Congress to not pass a law to establish a religion. This was agreed to by many founders that were Christians when the Constitution and Bill of Rights were ratified.
Also, nowhere in the 1st Amendment does it say that the citizens of the country cannot peacefully assemble and work to influence policy. Actually, the right to peacefully assemble is also protected by the 1st Amendment, along with the right to free speech, no matter who you are.
Keep this in mind as you watch this and you will see the bias and obvious timing to release this misrepresentation of the truth and the producer's intentions to influence while our country is struggling with this debate, all while we approach what may be the most important election in our country's history.
I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because at least it provides clear evidence of the leftis medias agenda to confuse public opinion and influence policy.
What a bunch of hypocrites
Dances with Wolves (1990)
One of the best and most important films of all cinematic history.
A masterpiece by Kevin Costner and company. If he had done nothing else this piece of work would be all that was needed to make him and company legends.
I have watched this movie many times. It's like listening to great music, it never gets old. The last few times I have watched it I have tried to do something else with the movie playing in the background and I always end up stopping what I was going to do and can't resist watching the movie again.
The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth (2016)
100% LIBERAL BIAS
As reported by another review this series is edited to a liberal bias. There is nothing fair, accurate or legitimate about this show. It's a smear campaign.
