The Worst Witch: The Forbidden Tree (2020)
Jojos x The Worst Witch lol
Even if I despise Ethel Hallow as much as everyone, she's my favorite character cus she gets into very specific situations that make everyone laugh, including the characters on the show lol. This time Ethel wants to win over Mildred again (srsly. What happened with the secret society they built? I'm mad she stays like the bully throughout all the series, I wish they just became friends) and she finds trouble when she borrows a secret mask from the nature that gets stuck on her an will give me nightmares (knockoff horror Pinocchio) . This is just Jojo's btw, but instead of vampires they're witches
(Nevermind, I just wanted to make a joke)
The Royal House of Windsor (2017)
C'mon y'all
They clearly said some bad things about Diana... but they were kinda insulting the other members of the royal family too! They said young Queen Elizabeth was naive and somewhat of a coward. They called Phillip a rather abusive dad because he wanted to harden Charles' heart by sending him away to attend a school. Charles was portrayed as a whiny kid who wanted to do whatever he wanted. Princess Margaret was seen as rebellious. They also praised them because... you know why? They were interviewing different historians with different opinions and also they were showing what people at the time the events occurred were thinking...
Monte Cristo Musical (2019)
Phenomenal
From all the Monte Cristo musicals I've seen, this is by far the best one. You certainly can't adapt the whole Dumas' novel in 30 songs but they managed to do an almost perfect adaptation.
Although Act 1 tells the story of Edmond's imprisonment and it takes years, Act 2 takes place in one single night on a masquerade so you won't see very much of the original plot. No Danglars, no Morrel, no Caderousse, no Franz, no Maximilien, almost no Albert... but you know what? It works out. The focus on Edmond and the two villains makes it easy to understand.
You get a good lesson (not like the one from the *cough cough* Frank Wildhorn's version), you get an extravagant set of outfits and stage decoration, you get amazing songs that portray every character to perfection AND you also get a lot of crying by the end.
