A Magical Christmas Village (2022)
Sorry I couldn't watch it.
Unfortunately I only watched a couple of scenes from this movie. Marlo Thomas ( I'm going to say it) was so incredibly distracting with her very bad face lift, it was cringe worthy.
If you check out Five Star Christmas, Paula Shaw was the grandmother, showed her age and she was fabulous. Why women need to disfigure themselves has got me beat.
I watched to the part where granny moved in with daughter and proceeded to tell her grandchild that she didn't need to do her homework. How disrespectful to her hard working daughter who took her in. That was enough for me. I had to turn the movie off.
Andrew MacFarlane is one of my favorites (which is why I wanted to see this movie in the first place) but I couldn't be bothered waiting to see him on screen as Marlo Thomas annoyed me too much.
Christmas on the Farm (2021)
I'm an Aussie and I'm embarrassed.
I usually love Aussie humour but this wasn't it. Boring slapstick rubbish. I've watched Poppy Montgomery in a few other tv series and she was great. What prompted her to do this movie has got me beat. She must have been desperate.
There is nothing funny in this movie. I didn't laugh once. All very cringe worthy. If this was for American audiences they wouldn't have gotten the so called comedy parts at all. I didn't even get it.
I love Australian movies and haven't seen a decent one made here with all Australian actors for a while. Give this one a big miss. Where have all the good writers gone. .
I give it one star for Stan actually giving it a go.
Cinderella (2015)
I love it, love it, love it.
A gorgeous looking alpha male Prince Charming. A stunning beautiful feminine Cinderella. Not like the Woke rubbish they've been churning out lately. This is one pure enjoyable fantasy for the whole family.
Watching the fairy godmother transform the pumpkin and animals into the coach etc. Was fun, especially when they get stuck in the coach scene. :D
Some laughs and tears too. I guess this movie had pretty much everything.
The last dance scene was spectacular, romantic and magical and that dress, what can I say.
Lily James was amazing as was the gorgeous Richard Madden.
Music by Eugen Doga Waltz of Love, was superb.
Cinderella is a 10 plus for me.
Bravo Kenneth Branagh.
Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate (2022)
Meh!
It was ok. I usually love Andrew Walker but in this case he didn't seem over enthused in playing the role and always looked miserable. Also what's with men and the scruff on their faces. They just look untidy and too lazy to shave. In Andrew's case it made him look old. Sorry, Mystery 101 is still my favourite.
A Little Daytime Drama (2021)
Ryan please shave.
I liked to movie but could have been better. I'm a huge fan of Ryan Paevey, but I wish he'd shave that scruff off his face. Looks untidy. And since when do uniformed police have scruffy beards. Looked so out of place.
Breakup Boot Camp (2021)
A 10 just for the kiss itself.
Did I witness a proper kiss rather than the closed lipped friends kiss that Hallmark seem to do.
Love Ryan in anything. Great actor or is he just playing himself.
Movie was enjoyable, great chemistry between Ryan and Italia.
A Little Christmas Charm (2020)
Cute movie
Great little mystery about the lost charm bracelet. The only gripe I had with it was Megan's (the vintage shop owner's) husband. Where did they pick this guy from. He looked like someone they pulled of the street to stand next to Megan. He looked very uncomfortable and the pair definitely didn't match. Weird I thought. Other than that, an enjoyable movie.
