Dumbo (2019)
One of the few live action Disney adaptations That I liked
It's actually one of the few live action Disney adaptations that I liked, which I'm totally against to be honest! But here's why: this one isn't a frame-by-frame of the cartoons that we saw as kids! It had more depth and more characters, and the side characters were well-written. Most importantly it's Michael Keaton (Batman) and Danny Devito's (Penguin) first reunion since Batman Returns in 1992, and also Tim Burton and Danny Elfman! I got to say I totally loved it!
PS: I'm a fanboy of Tim Burton's but I hated his versions of Alice in Wonderland, Frankenweenie and Dark Shadows. So I'm objective here.
Mary Poppins Returns (2018)
Welcome back good old Disney!!!!
Welcome back good old Disney!!!! Rob Marshall, the director of Chicago, Nine and many other great musicals, did an impossible job with a Mary Poppins sequel and he served it justice! The entire cast and crew nailed it from start to finish; especially Emily Blunt with the suicide mission of filling Julie Andrews's shoes. What a spectacular modern-classic Disney movie. It's a huge crime that this film didn't get even one Academy Award
