Las niñas de cristal (2022)
Artistic but fundamentally flawed
I was able to appreciate the art behind this film in both its indistinct and loud depictions but it fell short in convincing me that the relationship between Irene and Aurora was genuinely profound. There was a disconnect between the two actresses. Still enjoyed watching this Spanish-language film though. The thrill was very subtle yet very effective towards the end.
Mentiras (2020)
Subtle but effective thrill
I actually liked this series. I did not have high expectations but loved how it ended. The other user reviews from men hating the series because it did not go their way speaks volumes of how women are second-class citizens in today's world. Finished this today during International Women's Day-what a coincidence.
No is no. Date rape is even worse because women can't verbalize "no". May all these sick rapists be put to justice.
El desorden que dejas (2020)
One of the best suspense series I've seen
This is the first time I'll leave a comment on IMDb. I finished this series in one day. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout all the eight episodes. It's worth it to anyone who loves a good crime, mystery and suspense series. Don't let Hollywood fanatics tell you otherwise. The propaganda on leaving bad reviews for productions outside of the USA is just appalling. There are gems like this coming from all parts of the world. This time, it came from Spain.
