Abominable (2019)
Wholesome, definitely a feel good movie for anyone of any age
This movie is enjoyable for all ages, it's beautiful and so wholesome, thank you for such an amazing movie, yet again dreamworks!
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
This really isn't as bad as half the reviews are making out
I was shocked, I seriously expected the worst for this movie and even held off watching it for ages after it came out because people just said it was so poorly done but in reality it was quite spectacular, for me anyway. I'm content with how this movie went and ended.
Haunt (2019)
This wasn't half bad at all
When I saw people saying this could be the best horror of 2019, I just had to see for myself and you know what? I was surprised because it actually wasn't half bad at all. Quite enjoyable, yes, okay, some parts were gullible and it's plot-line is slightly jigsaw/escape room mashed into one. Honestly it's good compared to anything else released in the last 5 years horrorwise.
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
It was a cute marvel film but probably not for adult audience
I love Spider-Man, I love Tom Holland and I love marvel but this time round it wasn't great, it had key elements of humour and the usual over romance high school stuff but nothing catching for this particular Spider-Man movie. I'd imagine this is more something an audience 15 and below would enjoy.
Annabelle Comes Home (2019)
First horror I've enjoyed in a long while
It's just a classic 2000's paranormal haunted possession horror but it wasn't actually that bad at all
Captain Marvel (2019)
Okay Marvel quit playing
10 minuets in and I can already tell how boring this movie is and I'm just not loving it the way I have with every other marvel movie. Boring and seems long winded.
Glory (1989)
Memorable in history for a reason
If this film doesn't give you a strong love for all our brothers and sisters of colours and races, I don't know what does. This for me signifies a real taste of history that we should be remembering. I wish I saw this sooner, my heart couldn't have gotten more attached to humans I've never even known. The film itself feels slow to start with but it's a non-regrettable choice regardless. To hate this would be absurd, it's a powerful and moving part of history we should all see.
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001)
Creative bizarre or discombobulated crap? Yep, the latter.
I didn't hate this film by any means but it's one of those movies that tries to look all creative and bizarre but in reality is just a discombobulated mess produced by someone with their head in the clouds. I couldn't grasp it's concept, I mean if there even was one. In my eyes it was just a girl who is pretty much a psychotic woman child who enjoys meddling in other peoples lives because she barely has one of her own. It was weird but still a fairly okay film to watch.
Ben Is Back (2018)
When the film doesn't catch you but Julia Roberts is life
I love Julia Roberts, every film of hers I've seen. She can do no wrong, my all time actress and even in this film she's 100% and the showing of addiction and what it does to families in this film was portrayed fairly on point, saying that I just didn't enjoy it, I found it bland personally. Either way, not bad but not good either.
Larry Crowne (2011)
Like a sweet bed time hot chocolate.
It's not an over powering, long storied and overly detailed movie with a plot, it's a simple sweet film with hints of comedy. It's perfect to settle down with and go to sleep with a smile kinda movie. Simple maybe but some of simplest of things are wonderful.
Dumplin' (2018)
That feel good story for those of us who were outcasts in life.
I didn't give a full 10 because I was lacking some parts of realism within the story but aside from that, it shows no matter what size you are, level in popularity and what you have going on in your life, the only way forward is to believe in yourself. Confidence not just in the way you look but in the way you do things for you and the people around you. You'll out power the feelings of not fitting in, because you truly do. You're the star of your own show even that's not what everyone else sees.
Creed II (2018)
It's not what you expect but in an expecting way?
It's the most predictable movie of 2018. You predict how it would go but expect it not to...yet...it does. Awful.
Hurricane (2018)
Listen to the reviews. It's truly awful.
I don't ever go off reviews, what one finds awful, one might not. But this, oh boy this really is as bad as the majority reviews say it is. Not even one bit is accurate to the timing it tries to portray and just by the first 5-10 minuets I was ashamed I even bothered.
Malcolm X (1992)
Uhh...what?
Not many will share this opinion but it was purely and simply just...boring. I didn't expect that since it was so highly looked upon but I couldn't keep any focus.
Peaky Blinders (2013)
It's not a bad show but it's not exactly good either
The bare basics of this show is watching men sit, drink or have sex. There's no back bone and can drag a fair bit. I got all the way to season 3 before deciding enough was enough. No where near enough action and violence compared to sex scenes, nudity and alcoholism. It's a sufficiently more boring and stripped back version of game of thrones in my opinion. Saying that it's great if you're trying to eat dinner with background noise.
The Hurt Locker (2008)
Wtf are all the bad reviews for?
It's an amazing movie, yeah it's obvious that it's not 100% accurate but what movie entierly is? Too much scrutiny for such a good movie.
Stuart: A Life Backwards (2007)
A raw and real movie
Even though it's based on a real story and it's raw full of a lot of peoples realities that are pretty damn horrific, there's a lot of laughs to be had watching this and I appreciate that. The two main actors are obviously Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch, both of which never fail at any film or tv show they make or are in. Gorgeous film.
Locke (2013)
Perplexing, monotonous, thrilling yet simple.
It's exactly what it is, the description to this film is nothing more than purely, simply and exactly what it is? You could argue that it's both boring and exciting whilst being simple yet coming across complicated. Depending on you as a person, how you see things and how your imagination works. For me personally, I found it to be a double entendre. It felt too short but too long. Boring but so interesting, etc. Maybe that was the intended purpose? Maybe I'm wrong? But undeniably the acting from Tom Hardy was remarkable. Of course. That reason alone makes it a worth while watch.
Bird Box (2018)
It goes on and on and on and on...
I knew it wasn't going to be good from what everyone has been saying about it on social media and the fact the whole movie has been made into a meme but I stayed hooked onto it so I could actually see for myself and sadly, I wish I hadn't. It really is as boring as people say it is, it's as overhyped and has literally no sustenance at all. Don't waste your time like I did, 2 hours of previous time you could do something with your life, please don't let it be this.
Bronson (2008)
Movie brimmed with the Tom Hardy talent.
I'm disheartened to see that people genuinely didn't like this movie? Tom Hardy put, in my opinion, so much of himself and nailed it, tenfold.
There isn't a role he's played that I haven't enjoyed so maybe I'm biased. If anyone could research just what he did for this role you might have a fair bit of respect for how he did this. I love it, I'll always love it and Tom Hardy too. The film was exciting, thrilling and left me feeling almost warmed inside whilst watching.
Legend (2015)
Yeah it's pretty much the best movie you'll ever watch.
If only I could rate this higher than 10, because I would. It's my favourite movie of all time, every second and minuet is an enjoyable one. No exaggeration. I've watched it three times in one week and I'll continue to watch it a million times more, Tom Hardy nails every part as does all the actors and actresses in this movie. This movie is bursting with talent and that's undeniable.
Lawless (2012)
A truly great film and then some
Played by some of the finest actors, it's slow at the start but when it gets in, it punches in hard. Kept me hanging off my seat, some real twists and turns you don't expect and when you think it's going one way it goes the other, excellent.
Inception (2010)
Too much for the mind to comprehend
It makes you think but it also confuses, at least it did for me. If you have the time I would recommend watching, you have nothing too lose, the acting is brilliant, a lot of great actors/actresses but if you don't want to be sat here trying to figure it out nor have the patience, this isn't for you as even I lost concerntration a fair way through it
The Accountant (2016)
This film should be called the yawn
I've never watched such a boring and stretched out movie. If you value your time, don't watch it.
Mile 22 (2018)
What really was the point?
The action was great but what was the point? Generic action movies are generically good for a reason but they usually have a point. This one, not so much.
