Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
A flame thrower is always useful
This movie is a great revival of the late 60's in Hollywood. A period which seems strangely familiar but so different from what one can live today. And eventually, nos such a golden age as this could seem.
A movie filled with many references of this period's culture (I would be proud to have catched hefl of them). Actors a incredible, especially Di Caprio that seem to actually BE Rick Dalton.
As for a Tarantino movie, there will be a bit of violence, but this is not what props this story... and it is just great !

Both comedy and tragedy, a fierce social satire
This movie, starting as a clever comedy turns into a deep drama in a modern context of social inequities. This movie undelines how social classes remain splitted in today's world (almost as spltited as in Gosford Park). It also questions how the poor working class have to struggle against itself to benefit from the little that can runoff from the rich ones.
Great actor playing and the right pace in the movie makes it a fantastic experience.

Can make fun of everything
The greatness of this movie is that it shows how it is possible to make fun of almost everything, as long as it is clever.
I really had a great moment with this fun movie which, by the way, shows us how difficult it can be to be a palestinian living in its own homeland. Quoting the movie about how great can be Paris, France : "And above all, it is not occupied !".
This movie is able to make us laugh and provides a fun ending which balances nicely the depiction of an impossible cohabitation of two opposite peoples.

When nuclear deterrence meets human feelings
This movie is quite accurate on how does the french navy manages it's submarines which are the main vector of France's nuclear deterrence. While the global politic plot is highly unlikely, the dilmena of the characters facing the use of nukes is very interresting. This movie worth being watched at least to feel a little what might be beaing in charge of such dreadfull weapons. It comes as a complement to Dr Strangelove (in a very different style)....
