Make it make sense because it is RIDICULOUS
1 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know how the webtoon was but the tv show doesn't deserve such high rating. Probably it had many idols and fans supported those ratings.

The premise is very interesting but the execution is disastrous.

The plot holes aren't holes but huge black holes. The characters have ZERO development.

The pacing is all over the place.

Let's see, the remaining teenagers manage to evacuate in two trucks but the first one is attacked by a creature and turns over. How it managed to turn in a normal road we don't know but suspend your disbelief. The teenagers shoot the creature, take the guns and somehow decide to go back the road from the direction where the truck came from. What is the logic in that?

The second truck that followed them (or the others who go to the same base) didn't pass them by but when they go looking for them their find the turned down truck. How? Just how?

The teenagers from the turned down truck ( that took the weapons) run and retreat because when a creature appears they have no guns even this we see them arriving to the building site with them. Make it make sense please.

The ending is plain stupid, complete waste of time.

20 years later it didn't aged well
23 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I catch the finish of these series on TV and it was set in my mind as something that I needed to see.

Almost 20 years later it didn't aged well.

You can see the scares of climate activists saying 5 years it would happen this and that and if will be the end but it wasn't nevertheless it was very interesting to see the tactics used by oil companies and the strings that play behind the climate change summits.

Also, I can't say I am found of morals of the story, it is ok to cheat when you have a family and children in you are trauma bonded. Nothing is more convincing to switch to renewables than sex.

I love the actors but the script is a hot mess
5 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I am totally disappointed.

I long anticipated this drama because I love the actors but what I received it is something overwhelmingly disappointing. I really don't understand how they could have said yes after reading this script.

The cinematography is great, the product placement the same and it really gives the impression that this is how the wealthy live but the story is lacking.

Even if we ignore the geniuses that are at the top in their field at 27 years old and that the e-journal office is full with young, ambitious attractive women the story is lacking.

The main woman lead that you should root for let his boyfriend on his birthday chasing after a rich man that cancelled their interview when it was not necessary. She candidly tells her friend that if she needs to choose between the two it will be the rich man of course. Like it isn't enough, she calls her boyfriend to pick her up and drive her home while unnecessarily standing in the rain just to show us how many rich men offer her a ride. After boyfriend dropps her off, he mets another woman and kiss her. Why that woman ( who thought she was the official girlfriend) wasn't with him on his birthday we don't know, it is because the plot needs to happen I guess.

After pastry scene with her ex boyfriend and new girlfriend, the main female character suddenly starts running after rich men, doing everything to get into their graces while they smirk behind her back and talk about her like she was a horse ( the stable scene).

Sorry but I no longer have the stomach for it, after 3rd episode I completely gave up on his drama.

Realistic? It isn't realistic even if you watch it from the Moon
4 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a JOKE and the ones who say it is realistic must be toddlers that don't know what reality is.

Here are a few snippets of "realism" found in this movie:
  • they are flying over EUROPE not a see but somehow they need 20-40 minutes to find an airport to land?

  • the control tower ask them how many passengers they have and not souls in board, like the crew doesn't matter.

  • the pilot communicates the cockpit situation so that the terrorists know what it is happening.

  • the passengers sit still and do nothing while one terrorist armed with a glass knife takes one of them to kill., and the second one etc
  • they got the first hostage but the terrorist keep asking them why the pilot doesn't let them in. No kidding, this us really really laughable.

  • the terrorist doesn't know very well English so he doesn't understand the number three, the American pilot needs to tell him in german but somehow he understands 70% ?

  • it is a terrorist negociation but suddenly we cut all contacts because the terrorists mom is calling her dear child.

Is Kim all the way carbon copy of Amber vs Johnny
21 September 2023
Are the same producers as Amber vs Johnny because it is exactly the same pattern?

It was supposed to be one episode about Kim and another about Kanye but in reality it was 10% about Kanye and 90% about Kim. You don't understand, she us an angel and he is a lunatic oppressor that tried to control her.

How dares he to tell her that she must keep an image as a mother and not a loose woman?

This mockumentary really contradicts itself, on one side they say some fashion houses didn't gave her time of the day but since she was in a relationship with Kanye she got front row seats but on the ither he is controlling regarding the way she dressed.

Who said you cant be sexy unless you are at least half naked?

How dares he to divorce fight for his marriage instead of treating it as a perisable thing that expires in two seconds?

We glorify a killer, really?
25 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The cinematography is nice but the story is all over the place.

It starts with a murder so we have a murder case. Well, no because after switches to her childhood, her life and love experiences and her death with the big reveal that she lived a happy unmarried, without children life and she was in fact a cold blooded killer and her partner keeps that quiet.

Why Hollywood keeps pushing this? Why should we glorify cold blooded killers? She didn't kill him after he tried to rape her but she waited and after killing him she travelled back to another city to have a meal with her publishers. Dick, twisted holy weird agenda that is frankly sickening.

Revealing and disturbing
10 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I had always taught that the changing genders have had many more science behind it and the experts are rational people but hearing them speak is astonishing.

A "woman" can be everything, it isn't a very specific thing. Sorry but what?

That doctor who recalls that his youngest patient that received gender "affirming care" by cutting her breasts was a 16 years old girl. Say what? How is that "care"? Maybe only in an upsidedown world where words don't mean what you think they mean. This is sickening and extremely disturbing.

That therapists and university professor are ridiculous, the first one doesn't seem sane enough to be around kids and the second one doesn't seem qualified to be a teacher considering the way he argue and avoid to answer "what is a woman?"

Stunning
7 May 2023
Beautiful animation, brilliant even, with a lot of attention to details. It captures perfectly the nature with the shimmering of roads and the sparkling of the sea.

The story is interesting even if in some places it could have been better. The feeling of old places with memories from the past struck a cord.

Regarding the love story, I'm not sure how the infatuation "that guy looks beautiful" transformed into deep love to say "I am more afraid of a world without him".

The idea of what generates earthquakes is interesting.

As usual for japanese anime, the final "lessons" can easily bring you to tears but you are better if you remember that lesson because it's about life.

It is definitely worth your time
14 April 2023
Nice cinematography and story.

The characters are well developed and you really understand their motivation and why they are acting like that, they are also pretty different with different life stories that are very well acted out.

The violent scenes are very well masked-up so they don't seem that gritty nevertheless you manage to have the whole story.

I really liked the connection between the two leads, if was believable.

Nice soundtrack, it really manage to communicate the tension in a very subtle way. I would definitely look for the scores.

The twist at the end was interesting, I even had a moment " would he or wouldn't he do it"

Another one sided take pretending to be a "documentary"
11 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A little bit less revolting than the UK trial nevertheless they keep the same lines, no matter if it is Johnny's story or Amber's story everything is in reality Amber's story.

Many relevant facts have been left aside to give more credence to Amber's story like the audio with "tell them Johnny how I abuse you, nobody will believe you" ,like the part of doctored images, why the people didn't believe Amber's testimony.

Of course they kept up with the gaslighting line if Amber's where media wasn't with Amber and somehow deluded people stood with Johnny ( with no evidence backing that stance whatsoever) when in reality corporate media was with Amber all the way, months even after the verdict, while independent journalists and YouTubers presented what happened in the courtroom.

Stop with the nonsense, I watch that trial every day and Amber is not a victim but an abuser.

Despicable
19 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The cinematography is great but this is the only good thing I could say about this movie.

The acting is completely fake, unreal and unbelievable.

Diana is portraits as an irrational person widhout reasons, that make a fuss about nothing, that it is bratty and makes everyone wait for her, that walks in heels on a field to retrieve a cost that might have been her father so she just could speak to it.

It wasn't my Princess, and it happened 20-30 years ago but I also recall the facts, what was said before the divorce and after, and I know that what was presented is an utter nonsense.

I don't have enough words to say how despicable this movies is in portraying Diana. I can't imagine what Harry and William have to say about this "piece of art"

Sharper? Well the script isn't written by the sharpest people
17 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Sharper? Well the script isn't written by the sharpest people.

1) His father is white, his mother is Italian but somehow Tom is very black. Did you forget how the huge majority of Italians look like or you just find any excuse to slip a few Italian words because it is more stylish?

2) Max, in a few days he managed to transforme a druggie to a highly cultivated spy asset. The Intel agencies all over the world would be astonished by such achievement

3) the plot twist wasn't a plot twist at all but the writing on the wall

4) The millionaires and billionaires do a background check even on their cleaning staff so do you think they have been so incompetent for Madeline to have a chance? Don't you think they would have checked also the billionaire sons girlfriend? This is ridiculous.

5) Even if I turn a blind eye to all the things mentioned before, the succession of events makes absolutely no sense. Madeline become the inheritor because the son foolishly lost a huge sum of money so in order for the plot to happen the son should sabotage himself, the father would have had exactly that reaction, Madeline should stupidly take the gun and shoot Tom in the chest ( not head, not in the foot hand or air) and after that she would sign off the rights. How it that making any sense unless you need for the plot to happen.

From a non-game, they are back on track
12 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Happy to see that they are returning to the main line widhout diverging.

I like how the relationship between Joel and Ellie start to grow revealing part of the character that previously have been unknown and developing them by further actions.

The part where they got ambushed in the city it is harsh, I don't know what I would have done if I was in Ellie's place. It is pretty hard to kill a young person when he tried to kill you but after he is asking for mercy and for his mom.

I don't know if the writers intended to be like that but the leader of the resistance from that city it is pretty antipathic with no redeeming qualities.

From a non gamer, alright now we are getting somewhere
12 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After the first emotionless episode, I am happy to see that it is getting interesting.

The exploration if the world brings a lot of details, of how things work in the new world and the part where they inserted what happened and from where it started helps a lot and it doesn't take much from the main story. The part where the scientist say that the only way out us to bomb the city it is chilling especially when it is followed up by the crater in the current time from the main story.

I loved to see how connections and relationships started to grow even if the ending squeezed more emotions than ever.

A minus would be the monsters, at one point the female monster looked cheep like someone with a left hand stick a contraption to her head.

Emotionless for a non gamer
12 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A lot if time wasted with un-necesary stuff and when it is set in motion it is emotionless:
  • oh no, uncle hit with the car the neighbors and when another neighbor tried to help he git attacked
-on no, the daughter got shoot and one second was trashing because it was hurting but as soi as her father took her eyes to ask help she was limp in his arms
  • in 3 seconds she sees the new child as his daughter and smashes the face of a known guardian that just happened to be alone.

They tried to build the father daughter relationship and it started to with but the end was too off.

Also the cut off ( probably like in the game) where he falls asleep just to wake up the next second it is off.

Not the time at all to cut the main story
12 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I don't care how better written is the story, THIS WAS NOT THE TIME TO CUT OFF THE MAIN STORY TO INSERT IT, maybe it could have worked if it was after the 15th episode but not before.

The way they fall in loved plays into every cliche known about gays so a little bit of creativity would have helped a lot.

The ending is also indigestible but in tone with the current agenda, ohh let's kill ourselves if we can no longer take care of us. I know that the series are set into a dystopian world but it is bleak and stupid and I don't like it at all.

At this point the series seems to follow the pattern one miss, one hit.

You call this a documentary or a ode to Amber?
9 February 2023
EP.1 Johnny story. Well by the name you would think we would get what is promised, right? Nooo, it could not be further from the truth, it is Amber story in a more tamed way.

Ep2. Amber story. It is not a store but more an ode to Amber that it is portrayed to be this huge Holly star that could outshine Johnny, that is va va voom but somehow she got beaten and abused by the monster that it is Johnny. Of course the facts don't matter in this documentary and only her say that must be taken as fact. We must gulp up everything widhout asking any questions.

This is NOT a documentary but another attempt to gaslight the public hoping that they will turn around and see Amber as a victim ( not as a manipulative beater) if you push this narrative long enough.

Interesting idea, nice cast bud really bad script
8 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The idea has a lot if promises, the cinematography is nice, the cast is really nice, same bir the music but the script has a lot if exposition and so many plot holes.

The main villain wouldn't want to reincarnate so his solution was to kill all human kind. Ok I can understand that but you have at least 2 other options: 1) Use the gun that separate consciousness so why not do that with a few people, keep them suspended a few years and release them so they could reincarnate. Like that you could check that doing that you won't put them in a living nightmare so you could apply the same process to you and drop the bullet in the ocean 2) Release in a highly populated areas at least 3 viruses with a 99% death rate and the mission is accomplished.

By the way, if the good guys had Tried way last body, how come the bad guy had it in his possession that fast? Did they anticipate and took that one body when they attacked the center? We don't know because they never tell

By the way, those drones had ammunition equivalent to at least 10 attack helicopters so you must tone it down a little.

Entertaining
29 December 2022
It is an entertaining movie.

The soundtrack is beautiful.

It is clear that they put a lot of effort to crete the 60s vibe with a lot of liminal spaces.

You have all the tropes in it: the sensual woman, the attractive and skilled villain and the determined detective.

I think that the masks part was an inspiration from "Fantômas".

I had mixed fellings about how should I feel about a movie that glorifies crooks and killers but now I'm sure, I hate it because even if some of people killed haven't been clean they haven't been dirty enough to justify a killing and most of them have been regular people anyway.

This is a '60 movie for the "modern" audiences where the bad must be presented as good.

Is this American politics?
16 December 2022
As an European, I watch this ridiculous thing and I wonder if this is how American politics really are.

I understood that this documentary was done by her daughter but I start wondering if she hated her mother because for an outsider it comes more like mockumentary full of platitudes like "I didn't choose politics but politics choose me", with a woman called "strong" but who but from what they are presenting she didn't struggle with anything and it comes from a family who took a subscription to public functions.

Even Obama mocked this documentary and the still put it in. Having that face and mockingly saying "Glad tobe contributing to this great work of art" isn't a compliment but a direct characterization of this mockumentary.

What happens in communism
13 November 2022
Happy to see that it is available in HBO max.

When my mother told me what happened I thought that she was joking but after the Romanian Revolution it was proven to be true.

This is what happens in communist societies where people aren't promoted in function of their competencies, where you are there because you have dirty things on everyone around you , where you need to fulfill a quota and play disaster olympics so you could get more attention from the higher ups no matter of the consequences or of that will entail.

This is a cautionary tale that need to be populised much more especially to Americans who think that communism is a good idea.

Trailer at least 5 times more interesting than the movie
9 November 2022
I have seen the trailer and I thought it could be interesting but I wasn't in a hurry to watch it.

The press buzz before and after the release cut my interest in seen it BUT I have found it on HBO max and Issued to give it a chance. Oh boy, why did I wasted my time?

Let's start with the + : the cinematography was ok, colors interesting ( if I cut the conversation scene where the camera was turning circles that really maked me dizzy)

The - :
  • the script it is bad. It is clear in some parts what they tried to imply but I don't think that the writers realized that in fact they described themselves. It was funny to see that. Shelley table speech was one of those moments.

  • Frank was supposed to be the cult leader but it is carismatic as a board. I really don't understand why that happened when Chris Pine had so many models to use as inspiration
  • the acting sometimes fells flat, you know that it should be kind of emotion in the interpretation but it is blank
  • some plot actions make no sense. Shelly was the most indoctrinated of them all so it makes no sense to that action in the end.

  • the music is a porter quality rip-off Dune and instead of leading you to a point is distracting and you need to put extra effort to block it
  • I know that soo many like Harry Styles but the sex scenes and the dance scene was too much and the plot could hay been pushed further without forcing him to do all of that.

As usual, after a while everything fails
22 September 2022
Season 1,2,3, and 4 pretty entertaining. Even if the cast was diverse the characters followed the same line, had consistency and have been flashed out but starting with season 5 it started to be a mess, the characters started behaving like they would have never behave in the past, they did actions just because the script said do, with many insertions of woke and politics that really had no place I st to end with the stupid firings for not taking the famous vaccine in episode 10. If that scene leaves a bitter taste especially after the Pfizer reveal how do you think it will stand the test of time in 5-10 years from now. Due to all the things mentioned before, it is sad to see that the 5th season was written poorly for an extremely reduced category of audience.

Stunning coming of age story
9 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Beautiful animations in a comming of age story that you would see in an american animation.

An unsecured girl, deeply hurt that her mother died to save another child because she didn't understood why her mother did. She steps in a virtual world where she becomes a star to sacrifice everything to save it her children by finally embracing her inner self and understanding her mothers actions ( she jumped to save that child because nobody else would do it). As part of the main story you have also cautionary tales about what it hides behind internet avatars.

I cried a lot and I appreciated the mundane scenes of nature, riding the train, awkward love confessions and infatuations.

This is NOT a "Beauty and the Beast" spinoff even if sometimes it contains some elements that could make you think it referenced that.

The revealing of the Beast in real world it is surprising even if it isn't completely from the left side but it comes to consolidate the idea "Be aware, you don't know who hides behind an avatar"

I definitely appreciated the main message "be who you are widhout trinkets and widhout pretending to be something that you aren't in your exterior apparence".

Do you call this a documentary?
31 August 2022
I had never heard of this church /sect so I was very curious to discover what they are about and what horrible things they did but this documentary was extremely biased and dissapointing. I have never seen until now a documentary more biased ,one sided, with assumptions, things that contradict themselves and "her say" , not a "her say" in the lines of "I have seen that or hear another" but the ones type "I think that she felt X, she did Y, she thought Z".

It is ridiculous, very little facts but with tines if assumptions that 5 minutes later are contradicted by assumptions of another person that had given an interview for this documentary.
