Sicario (2015)
What would make this movie perfect and not a 7?
If FBI agents' hysterical moods and their overreactions to certain situations were cut and and the main boss was shown as harder to catch, this movie would be more realistic and exciting for me but now it is just fine, it was pleasant to watch. Instead of watching too much idealism of amateurs, i'd definitely prefer more scene of their dealing with the cartel.
Waiting for 'Superman' (2010)
Confirming the movie from my own true story
I dont live in USA but let me explain my own experience. My family, particularly my mom was very supportive, caring, interested in my studies and you can say i had a "model parent" since the beginning of my education life. We were a middle class family, my parents were seperated but that happened when i was 3 so it was history, plus no drug use, no alcohol, safe environment and a loving family with a standard way of living.
Until the 4th grade, i had really bad grades, my teacher was complaining about me, as she was saying i had been talking during classes, behaving aggresively and not paying attention to school and so on. This changed dramatically after 4th grade when our teacher was changed. I turned to a successful student over time, even got scholarship from a private high school and studied in the best university in my country. Well how did i change so much at that time? Apperantly my previous elemantary teacher was very aggresive, shouting at us a lot and not a good teacher at all. Some families complained about her and she was replaced with a much better teacher. After watching this documentary i specifically asked my mum if anything else changed at that time other than this like her own attitude or smt else but no, she is certain that nothing else changed.
I see a number of negative comments about the documentary like its one-sided or focusing on only one factor etc. well from my point of view, yes teachers matter a lot. They can even be number one factor regarding this issue and i dont think the movie misdirects the audience to a wrong direction
Three Wives, One Husband (2014)
Great documentary
This is a very helpful, informative documentary. Its really difficult for me to understand bad ratings and reviews. Their way of life is their business, they dont murder, they dont steal, they dont hurt people yet the society acts like they're criminals. This is just not fair. I am not even Christian and yet respect what they believe. And even from a biological perspective, polygamy exists in nature as well, they are many species who practise it. Monogamy or polygame, they are both beautiful as long as the parties are willing to be in and happy.
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
Disappointing
Too many unnecessary scenes to make a series. This documentary could have been easily one or two episodes. LA detectives talk like they solved the case, a spoiler for you:they certainly did not. If it wasnt San Francisco cases and the media exposure, that psycho could have killed and torchured more people.
Lastly, it would be be more interesting if they explained his motives and childhood traumas.
Inside Job (2010)
Good movie but some parts of the puzzle seem missing
I generally liked the movie but they could explain more about the changes in fed funds rate and root causes of NPL's which both played an important role in the crisis.
