The Stepson (2010)
Great night of TV!
I loved this movie. The acting was good and it had an interesting plot that kept me wondering how it would end. I like to watch these movies of the weeks where the woman is in trouble and then finds a way to be the hero in the end. The actress did a good job and was very believable. I liked that she was trying to not let the stepson back into her life but felt she should help him for just the one night. Then she couldn't seem to get rid of him. It was interesting how he slowly took over her life. It was very suspenseful and I liked how the movie started off slowly and then the suspense built up as the movie went on. The actor who played the son was SO good at his part. He was very believable and so creepy! I would hate to have someone like that in MY family! I liked the ending being left open as well. That surprised me. Will there be a "Stepson Part 2"? That would be great. I'll be watching for it!
Cries in the Dark (2006)
great movie!
I saw the write up about this movie in the TV guide, so I thought I would tape it and watch it another day since it was on showcase at 7 (a little early for me to sit and watch a movie). As I was setting up my VCR, I started watching it and then couldn't stop! LOL. I thought I would just watch to the first commercial to see if it was any good, but I ended up watching the entire movie. It is suspenseful and the acting was great! I liked Eva La Rue. She was very believable. I don't want to ruin it for people but, towards the end, what a great twist with the letter! Great idea. I liked that it wasn't the run of the mill murder mystery too...a fresh idea. I think anyone who likes a good mystery will LOVE this movie. I highly recommend it.
Love Thy Neighbor (2006)
wonderful movie...a must see!!
This was a great movie. I love movies of the week and watch them all of the time. I liked the idea of the family needing to feel safe so they move to the gated community. We all wonder what it would be like to live in that type of neighborhood. And, don't we all dread that one neighbor who just HAS to be everyone's friend?! LOL. I really enjoyed Alexandra Paul too. She always delivers a good performance. She had great chemistry with the leading man as well. I thought the female villain was SO well done. She was creepy and hilarious all at once. The actress was perfectly cast! If you are a big movie watcher like I am, you have got to see this one. It seemed to have it all. It was suspenseful, fun and the acting was also good. I wish we could see more movies like this one!
