Robinson Crusoe (1997)
Nice little movie.
I really don't understand people who always complain about "it's not accurate to book". If it would be 100% accurate to book it would SUCK big time. Somethings just don't work on movies that worked on the book and vice versa. For a good example, Lord of The Rings - Fellowship of the Ring, Bombadil wouldn't work on the movie at all.
As a TV movie, this is very well done, for example the storm and shipwreck scene felt great. And overall the scenery is great and all settings are made with care and look very real.
Actors do pretty good job, though maybe little overacting from time to time, but nothing to complain really. I liked Brosnan's Scottish accent it gave a spice to the character and made more real.
The movie is about love and friendship, and really worked on me. I highly recommend everyone who like about adventure movies.
Desperation (2006)
Tak!
I don't understand how people nowdays HATE Christianity. You people have read too much fiction like Da Vinci Code and think it's all true. I had no problem with putting god element here, there was many interesting questions about it in the film.
I haven't read the book (in which I'm happy) and even if I would I don't like to compare between the book and the film. Some things just cannot get working on the movie that works great in the book. Story was good and I never get bored when I watched the movie. And I was actually glad that there was happy ending unlike every other movies I've watched recently. Acting varied lot, but in average it was good I think; at least it didn't bother me.
If you like movies with mysteries and battle between the true evil and true good give a shot and watch this film.
