Reviews
Perdida (2020)
Slow fake non original
Slow fake not original and full of clichés and stereotypes. Don't pay attention to the 10 star reviews.
Paranormal (2020)
"You were his little cousin, now you will be his wife."
Please Egyptian friends, don't give a show 10 stars just because it's from Egypt.
Interrogation (2020)
Bad script and acting
This could have been a good show or movie. The script is just not good and the acting is at least indifferent, sometimes overacting. You don't care for the characters or the case. And those 10 star reviews? Really guys? They're probably paid or some people really don't know what a good TV show is.
Fargo: The Land of Taking and Killing (2020)
Costumes can't save this thing
The costumes, cars etc are the only decent thing in this show. Everything else is just terrible. The script, casting, characters, dialogue, you name it. Plus the political correctness. It has nothing in common with the old Fargo we knew and loved.
Fargo: Welcome to the Alternate Economy (2020)
This is not Fargo
I don't know what this is but it's not Fargo. Terrible script, ridiculous characters, overacting, bad Italian, wannabe dramatic with a touch of comedy politically correct garbage.
The Great Wall (2016)
Like a Lord of the Rings for 5 year olds
A movie with ridiculous script, acting and dialogue that is trying to impress with colours. No substance, just a lot of extras with laughable plastic costumes.
Noah (2014)
Didn't like casting and costumes.
As most people have said everything, I all have to day is that the casting should be different. And something important. After all this time at sea, the characters have perfect shampoo washed hair and perfect makeup. Oh, and they wear pants. Yes pants, both men and women. Finally Noah appears overweight. Which was something extremely rare back then, especially on a ship.
Snowpiercer (2020)
PC garbage full of clichés
The original movie wad great. But this, well doesn't even come close. I guess they thought with all these Black Lives Matter protests going on, why we don't make a show about inequalities and classes etc.
So, instead of sitting and writing a decent story, they thought let's make Snowpiercer a TV show. It's full of cliché characters, Political Correctness and lack of logic.
Libertador (2013)
An idealistic vision of Bolivar
Other members already mentioned the issues with this film, more importantly the script, characters and story. The first 30 minutes show us nothing.
The movie starts saying :
"
Simon Bolivar fought over 100 battles against the Spanish Empire in South America. He rode over 70,000 miles on horseback. His military campaigns covered twice the territory of Alexander the Great. His army never conquered -- it liberated."
Yet his Wikipedia page claims:
"Bolívar fought 472 battles, of which 79 were important ones, and during his campaigns rode on horseback 123,000 kilometers, which is 10 times more than Hannibal, three times more than Napoleon, and twice as much as Alexander the Great."
So, you can understand that these are all propaganda and exaggerated claims. He just wanted to grab power and govern all Latin America. He didn't believe in democracy and said that societies like Venezuela "will require a firm hand".
Henri La Fayette Villaume Ducoudray Holstein described him as a coward who repeatedly abandoned his military commission in front of the enemy, and also as a great lover of women, being accompanied at all times by two or more of his mistresses during the military operations. He would not hesitate to stop the fleet transporting the whole army and bound for Margarita Island during two days in order to wait for his mistress to join his ship. According to Ducoudray Holstein, Bolívar behaved essentially as an opportunist preferring intrigues and secret manipulation to an open fight. He was also deemed incompetent in military matters, systematically avoiding any risks and permanently anxious for his own safety.
Karl Marx dismissed Bolívar as a "falsifier, deserter, conspirator, liar, coward and looter", and a "false liberator who merely sought to preserve the power of the old Creole nobility to which he belonged."
He also says that that Bolívar abandoned his troops multiple times and writes that Bolívar had to be persuaded by his cousin Ribas to return to fight against the Spanish after staying in Cartagena. Marx then penned that after arriving in Caracas in 1813, Bolívar's "dictatorship soon proved a military anarchy, leaving the most important affairs in the hands of favorites, who squandered the finances of the country, and then resorted to odious means in order to restore them."
Zerkalnye voyny. Otrazhenie pervoe (2005)
Bad very bad
It's ridiculous how low is the quality of this movie. Just a Russian propaganda attempt to copy American movies. The script, acting and voiceover will make laugh, or cry. Avoid at all costs.
Mary Queen of Scots (2018)
Mary Queen of Political Correctness
No respect for history or the people, just trying to push an agenda full of feminism and diversity. Black ambassadors? Asian court maidens? No from me and from many others as I see.
Atomic Blonde (2017)
So fake
So people are giving this movie high ratings just because Charlize Theron is looking good. Yet the script is terrible
Doctor Sleep (2019)
It's okay
Another politically correct thriller wannabe where white women have black husbands. We rarely see the other way around. I think the main reason for the high ratings is the connection with The Shining. If this movie didn't use Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece to create some buzz, the ratings would be very different.
Joker (2019)
Masterpiece
What a ride. In case you haven't, watch it now. You will not be disappointed.
The Circle (2017)
Oh yeah
It's really that bad. Another politically correct movie with bad casting, full of cliché, fake emotional, wannabe cool, unrealistic human interaction and other ephemeral elements. Looks like it was made for 14 year old teens.
Happy Death Day 2 U (2019)
Huh, really?
A movie for dumb and dumber. Maybe this is funny for teens on weed but not normal people.
Dumbo (2019)
It's all about political correctness these days
Bad acting, bad casting, non existent script, wooden dialogues and a little black girl that talks like a 30 year old feminist robot.
The King (2019)
Nice costumes and atmosphere but
The dialogue and writing is not very good. Plus it's totally inaccurate historically.
Chernobyl (2019)
Wow!
What a masterpiece! We are talking about dark stuff at the highest level, like the legendary first season of True Detective level. Only this is a true story. And the creators did a good job in order to keep it historically accurate. It really deserves the number one spot it's right now and hope to see more like it.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
What the hell was that?
I think the show should win "The Worst Ending" reward.
Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007)
Nice costumes - fake history
I don't understand why they had so many distorted facts. And you get tired by the cliches. All Catholics and Spaniards wear black clothes and have evil faces. The Spanish king is a monster and Elizabeth is a saint? And she didn't really want to kill Mary Queen of Scots although she gave the order? Come on. This could have been an epic movie based on real history. But no, it's one of the same.
Cam (2018)
Don't bother
Garbage trash non sense movie.......................................
Trophy (2017)
Great documentary
Showing just facts and not taking any side. Nobody can deny what is going on in Africa and the collapse of wild life in general.
True Detective: The Great War and Modern Memory (2019)
Dark and dirty as always
Well, the best show in town is back boys. And when I say boys I don't mean the kids who watch Avengers or whatever crap super hero movie/show is out these days. This one is for grown up adults. First, I wasn't sure about Mahershala Ali having the lead role but his acting is great. For those of you who haven't seen previous seasons, go now and start watching the first season, it is truly a masterpiece.
In the Heart of the Sea (2015)
Terrible
Maybe this movie target group is kids who watch Marvel movies but it's an insult for everyone else. Good cinematography but everything else sucks. The characters look fake and the dialogs are awful. Chris Hemsworth plays this super cool macho guy who walks and talks like a super model with gel on his hair. This should be an epic movie but instead is just a flat film for DVD only release. With all that money the script should have been much better.
