The Wheel of Time: Daes Dae'Mar (2023)
Most deviated from the books, yet solid episode
Since the two previous episodes were such great adaptation in terms of writing, execution and acting, this episode was kinda hard in the first watch for a book fan. It still managed go get the characters where they needed to be, and it built a specific arc that will come later to season 3 in a really good way. Sophie Okenedo and Rosamund Pike and Natasha Okeeffe are my most favorite casting choices ever made in the show. You can't help but fall in love with their scenes even though some of them are deviating so much from the books.
The girls arc is still faithful to the books, but I really wishes they showed Rand's power. He was already robbed in the finale of season 1 and now 7 episodes have passed and a single aes sedai managed to shield him, that bugged me a bit. Everyone is showing so much strength and power yet the most powerful one still seems weak.
I originally rated this episode 7, but on a rewatch it grew more on me and I came in terms with some of the changes. Great season so far. I really hope they stick the landing with the finale, and I really hope it has a longer run time because this episodes was way too rushed at some places.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
WOT >> LOTR
What a waste of nearly 1 billion dollars. Amazon, please give this budget to The Wheel of Time. At least it had better stories and better actors. It needs the budget more than this great-only visual show that is so hollow from the inside. WOT deserved the billion and the long period episodes to tell the whole story of 14 books instead of this 1 book show. I'm not a reader for neither LOTR nor WOT, but WOT made me want to buy the books because it made me CARE. This? 4 episodes in and i dont give a damn about any character in this show. Especially Galadriel, she's a disgrace to Cate Blanchett. I will continue watching because I'm a curious person, not because I'm interested, at all.
The Time Traveler's Wife (2022)
Great show!
I'm surprised that I haven't seen people talk about this show a lot. Its a gem. The writing is so good and the way they connect the events with the timelines is masterfully done. Definitely worth the watch and I'm adding it to my favorite limited series list.
The Wheel of Time: The Flame of Tar Valon (2021)
The best one!!
Wow! I think this one of my favorite episodes in all fantasy series for all time, I cannot stop rewatching it. Too many good stuff, the writing, the directing, the ACTING!! The chemistry, the pacing, the sets, the costumes, the depth and the emotions! Everything was just perfect. I'm so in love with this show and this is its best episode yet. Cannot wait to watch more and please ignore the low reviews from fanatic fanboys who want a copy version of the books on screen. This show deserves a rating +8.5 and this episode alone is +9.5.
