American Psycho (2000)
Meh
Well it hasn't aged well. Seems a bit embarrassing now.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)
Sated.
I'm satisfied. So many of the greats leave us so many unanswered questions (Sopranos, anyone?). I feel complete, at ease and, frankly, I won't listen to anyone else's opinion on El Camino but my own. So why I've written this, I don't know.
Basically, if you like Breaking bad and Better Call Saul, you'll probably almost certainly maybe like this. I did.
Transparent: Transparent Musicale Finale (2019)
Come on!
It's a genius episode, the songs are stuck in my ears, and I totally felt Alanis Morrisette channeling through. A superb end to a superb series, when it really could have all gone arse-up.
Funny People (2009)
Horrible
This film ended for me with the appearance of Ray Romano of Everybody Loves Raymond fame. He also did a lovely film recently, about killing his friend.
It was at this point I realised that the film would be much better if Ray played George. At least this would give us a chance to at least pretend George was a live human, rather than some kind of Cyborg. George has no believable redeeming features and is, in fact, that rare creature - a full, total, nob. Not a bit of a nob. A total nob.
I would welcome a remake in the next decade à la star is born.
If Romano is still alive.
Spent (2017)
Dear God!
What in gods name did I just watch, this is literally the worst thing I've ever seen. Even worse than Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.
Runaway Bride (1999)
Awful!
Oh my God horrible. I put up with 20 minutes before I turned off because I felt so ill. Richard Gere reminds me of a short film I saw one time in the middle of the night, I'm not sure if I dreamt it. An Alsation dog was driving a taxi in New York, another Alsatian trying to go across the zebra crossing and the taxi Alsatian nearly hits the walking. The Alsatian on the zebra crossing turned around and shouted 'hey I'm walking here!'. I don't even know if Americans know what zebra crossings are.
That's as far as I got. Horrible film, just awful.
BrainDead (2016)
Nine!!
I'm only giving this nine stars as it is CLEARLY a DOCUMENTARY and is in the wrong entertainment category.
