Faito ippatsu! Jûden chan!! (2009)
Fun show
Anime about "charger-girls" who exist in a parallel dimension and come to Earth to "charge up" (energize) people who are depressed and stressed.
There is a LOT of fan-service that includes regular nudity, up-skirts, all kinds of jiggly bits, etc., and even some humiliation and BDSM...so it's great if that what you're looking for, otherwise steer off.
Overall the show is fun and light but has drama enough to keep you interested and support all of the opportunistic fan-service. The series features two charger-girls, Plug who's new and goofy but takes her job seriously and, Arresta who's older and keep Plug in check.
Val (2021)
Twisted, sexy, entertaining.
The film is a gem. Misha Reeves, as Val, grabbed my attention and kept it. The actors have good chemistry and the story was edgy and dark. Zachary Mooren (Fin) played a good counter to the manipulative Val.
Deep Space (2018)
B-Movie Gem
If you watch a lot of B-films looking for that pulp sci-fi gem, this is it.
Low budget? Yes. Good script and acting? Surprisingly, yes. It's visceral, human, and engaging. The sets are good enough to carry the scenes and the actors don't "ham it up". Has a similar feel to "the Expanse".
Death Kappa (2010)
Outrageous & Fun
Definitely a B-Movie, if you couldn't for some reason already tell. It's the story of a Kappa who finds peace and causes some hell along the way. About half way through it shifts gears and becomes a Kaiju movie and and steps up the action and comedy as everyone getting killed screams for their mommies, lol.
If you like low budget films or monster movies try this for a matinee on a slow day and have some fun.
Arena (1989)
Pretty good B-Film.
The story is that of a human fighting in the galactic ring in an attempt to bring the title back to earth. The cast notably has Claudia Chistian of Babylon 5, and Mark Alaimo and Armin Shirmerman of ST: Deep Space Nine. It's got costumes, aliens, tech, conflict a fairly straight storyline and good old human persistence.
Twin Peaks (1990)
Strange and Wonderful.
This is such an odd duck series but it totally works. The soundtrack is beautiful and dreamy, the acting is spot on, the direction is masterful and key. My advice would be, that if you can, just go with it. It was not what I thought it was going to be but it was well worth the trip.
After Midnight (2019)
Fantastic Experience!
The film is beautiful, it mixes slices of life with elements of horror and sci-fi to create a wonderful and entertaining piece of work. Well worth your time to watch.
Jurassic World (2015)
Could not sit through it.
Only made it about 45 minutes in and then left the theatre. The story was underwhelming, mostly just flash to inundate your brain.
Seedpeople (1992)
Enjoyable B-Film
If you're familiar with Full Moon Features or the b-film sci-fi genre then then give this movie a try. It's got a similar feel to others greats such as CHUD or Killer Clowns from Outer Space.
Star Raiders: The Adventures of Saber Raine (2017)
Fantastically Good!
Lol, understand that it's a B-movie, but it's got everything. Monstrous villains, feisty vixens, lovable heroes, and plenty of cheesy moments. It's a good film, if you like the genre, and was enjoyable throughout.
