Diary of the Dead (2007)
All in all a bad movie!
It is not that the acting was THAT bad, or the effects, but mostly the horrible way the "found footage" was done in the movie. The characters argued FAR TOO MUCH amongst themselves about the filming. Ending up making it horribly irritating and annoying to watch the movie!!!
It did not help that the characters were portrayed as relatively irritating as well. Besides that, there are always made stupid choices by the characters in a horror movie, but seriously: THIS MANY...?!
All in all I blame the script, and at least to some extent the director for making this movie this bad. I assume that the camera crew/the actors filming themselves just followed the script/the director...
Spontaneous Combustion (1989)
Not good
I am not 100% sure if this movie have just aged badly, or if the movie have been bad the whole time. I believe the latter... The script is somewhere between bad and really bad, the acting is more or less the same. The special effects are somewhere between OK to horrible/really bad...
It says a lot when even the main actor trashes the movie!!! Actors usually brags about how great the movies they are in are to receive cashback from the movie later on regardless of how bad the movies ACTUALY are...!
The over the top suspenseful music and A LOT of loud screaming in the movie did not help either...
[Rec] (2007)
Highly overrated!
I have no idea what so ever how this movie can have such high rating?! Is it the crew, their neighbors and ALL of their families that have voted?! This movie mostly consists of shouting, more shouting, some screaming, and then even MORE SHOUTING :-( And the filming is done with possibly THE most shaken camera I have ever seen!!! The story and the acting is OK, but not much more. The twist in the end could have been better if the movie had elaborated a bit more around the twist. In stead there are mainly even more screaming, screaming, shouting, more screaming, and then the movie ends shortly thereafter...
The 4400 (2004)
A series with its ups and downs
In short: I found this series to start good, then decline a bit along the way. In the beginning I thought that this series was really original and imaginatively written with interesting characters, plot and story. But after a while the writers seemed more and more desperate to change and/or be creative and "fresh". The plots seemed to become increasingly "out there". That might me a good thing in a SiFi-series, but that also demands more and more of the manuscript and the actors, something that I found that this series did not live up to. The manuscript, the acting and the special effects sometimes gave me a B-movie-feeling of something missing and/or "being off". And in the end I felt that the whole series ended without a proper ending, but with more of a cliffhanger in stead of wrapping things up in the end.
All in all I found the series worth watching, but do not expect a masterpiece/a new cult series. There are too many inconsistencies, too many strange decisions made, too much unscientific "explanations" that are not made believable enough, and too much other flaws in this series. But again, the series is worth watching if your expectations are not too high.
The Happening (2008)
A one word review: Strange!
This movie can be summed up with one word: Strange. The movie consists of strange occurrences happening to strange people that says and does strange things in a strange movie with a strange manuscript and a strange (if any) plot :-S
The lack of plot and explanations for anything in this movie might be compared to and rival "Cloverfield" (2008) without the nauseating handheld filming...
In principle the plot in this movie can be summed up in more or less the same words as "Cloverfield" (2008) as well: The movie is about people running away from something while they babble amongst themselves and guessing about what is happening barely knowing or finding out anything along their way.
If you like strange movies, watch it, if not, stay away...
Nehrim: At Fate's Edge (2010)
Potentially a good game, but...
The game have become VERY unstable on modern computers. This is something that I have experienced personally, and have seen A LOT of other people write about. On top of periodically frequent crashes, I experienced not only once, but twice, that Save Games stopped being possible to load (shortly) after the end of the main quest! In my experience neither loading older Save Games or reinstalling the game helped!
The creators blame newer computers and OS'es. But Oblivion, a game that naturally are older than Nehrim, since Nehrim is based on Oblivion... works (mostly) just fine on my I7 7700-based computer...
Another problem with Nehrim is that it in my eyes is very pompus: There are monologue after monologue after monologue that drags on several places in the game.
There are also the standard game padding where you get a mission in one place, and have to travel to one or several locations in different places, perform tasks/find something/kill someone or something, and then return back to where you came from on the other side of the map...! The game padding consisting of having to use A LOT of time managing your inventory and consider what to pick up or not, what to sell, and so on is also present of course...
And to my big irritation: Several locations in the game are virtual mazes where you quickly end up running in circles before you manage to find your way through!
My score of five stars almost gives me a guilty conscience considering that this game after all is free. But I just can not let that influence how the game is, and how it is to play, it must after all be compared to other games and the game that it is based on.
But if you liked playing Oblivion and have some spare time, and perhaps even an older computer with a more suitable OS than Windows 10 to play this game on, I still recommend that you try out this game: You might be luckier than me and others and not experience frequent crashes, and you might like the pompousness and the long monologues better than me. And let's not forget: The game is FREE if you already own Oblivion, and despite all of it's flaws, it is still worth playing even if it at times is very irritating!
Cube Zero (2004)
Flawed, but not as bad as I remembered it.
I remember that I disliked this movie when watching it earlier. But for some reason I did not dislike it watching it this time. Maybe my expectations were lower before watching it this time so that It was not such a disappointment compared to the first movie this time?
But on the other hand, I would say that this movie is still far from as good as the first movie, but all in all on the level of the second one. There is a horribly made "prosthetics" in this movie, the villain seems like a caricature and the fate of Cassandra is far to ambiquos in my taste and leaves more questions than it answers. But otherwise the acting is at least not as bad as in the two previous movies in this series, and the plot in "Cube Zero" is better and more original than in "Cube 2".
So I will say that if you lower your expectations compared to the original "Cube" down to "Cube 2", you might find this movie to be as bad or as good as "Cube 2", but not as good as the original "Cube".
Cube 2: Hypercube (2002)
In principle a new version of the original movie.
The plot is basically similar to the plot in the first movie but with some modifications and even more "far out". The list of characters are basically similar to the one in the first movie with some modifications, the setting is the same with some modifications, the acting is basically as bad with some modifications, the special effects are basically as outdated with some improvements, and so on.
The movie is still OK, and worth a watch. But do not expect something revolutionary as the first movie even if this movie in many ways are similar to the first one. "Cube 2" is more or less "Cube" on repeat, but somewhat more extreme.
Cube (1997)
An ingenious movie.
This movie is as intelligent as some of the acting in it is horrible ;-P In several ways it reminds me of the "Saw"-movies in how things are connected, how things seldom are black and white, how things seldom are one dimensional and so on.
All in all the story is ingenious if you manage to look past the aforementioned bad acting , some badly written lines and outdated special affects. Despite all of that, "Cube" is STILL a great movie.
"Cube" might not be a movie that you would like if you demand action in a movie, but it should be a movie that you will like if you like an intelligent plot and story.
Moon Knight (2022)
Started as amazing, continued as mostly great.
The first episode was amazing, and possibly flawless. The only thing I might have missed was more action, but then again there would have been less time for the amazing story, mystery and mysticism, so I am not sure if it could have been improved!
The rest of the episodes was not amazing, but still great in my opinion, perhaps except for the fifth episode that was a bit too strange in my opinion.
The last episode was in my opinion not as bad as others have complained about. I would say that it was great, but not as amazing as the first episode. Perhaps how amazing the first episode was made it impossible to meet the expectations for the last one?
And a big plus in my book: The WHOLE season have gone practically without any references to other MCU movies or series. That is GREAT!!! I am fed up with movies and series that are so entwined that you "MUST" have seen everything else in the MCU universe to avoid spoilers and/or not be able to understand what/why things happens because of reference(s) to other movies and/or series!!!
Moon Knight: Gods and Monsters (2022)
Something of everything from the previous episodes
Some action (possibly the episode this season with the most action), still some dark humor, still Egyptian mysticism, some strangeness like in the fifth episode, and so on. A mix of everything from the previous episodes in other words. But still without getting repetitive!
So all in all this episode was partially a bit weird like the previous episode, but mostly had the great ingredients from all of the episodes to make this episode great too. If you liked the other episodes, I believe that you will like this one as well.

Moon Knight: Asylum (2022)
A strange episode
The first episode in this series was also strange, but exclusively in a good way. This episode was still a good episode, but closer to "just strange" than to the amazing first episode. This episode seemed more like a nightmarish dream of a mad person than the mysterious and somewhat earie feeling in the first episode where you were kept guessing what was going on. You are kept guessing in this episode as well, but the explanations belongs more in the realm of an asylum than in Egyptian mysticism.
It seems to me that this episode is the one with the least amount of action so far. Previously, the lack of action have not been a problem to me because of the otherwise great story. But considering that I did not like the story that much in this episode, more action could have improved it
A slightly disappointing episode to me, but mostly because the previous episodes were SO good. This episode is still worth a watch, and it is still a good episode, just not as good as the previous ones. On the plus side: Some aspects about Marc/Steven were explained, the humor is still good.
Moon Knight: Summon the Suit (2022)
Not as great as the first episode, but still great.
Much of the mysticism from the first episode are gone, but there are still more than enough left to make this second episode great! The same great filming, dark humor, more action, acting, the story and so on that made the first episode amazing, makes this episode great!
All in all: If you liked the first episode of this series, I expect that you will like this episode as well.
The Witcher: Family (2021)
A slight improvement, but not enough
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. This episode was slightly better than most of the previous ones this season, but still a letdown after the first season and this seasons first episode! After the first episode of this season this series have mostly become more and more disappointing to me.
I have played the three The Witcher games, but not read the books. This episode at least contained some nice monster fighting scenes and some other intense and interesting scenes after several uninteresting episodes!
Except for the first episode, and in part this last episode, the second season have been a disappointment!
Other than that, the acting, some of the characters, the CGI, the music, were..................................good :-)
The Witcher: Voleth Meir (2021)
Almost a program about traveling by horse.
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. And this is another episode in this season that was barely OK and a letdown after the first season and this seasons first episode! After the first episode of this season this series have become more and more disappointing to me.
I have played the three The Witcher games, but not read the books.
In a series about The Witcher I expect action and at least a scene with a monster being fought. In this episode there was not even a glimpse of a monster or a monster fight! I really hope that this episode at least is a part of a build up for something large, because except for the first episode, the second season have been a disappointment so far!
Other than that, the acting, some of the characters, the CGI, the music, were..................................good ;-)
The Witcher: Dear Friend... (2021)
Continues to disappoint
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. Another episode that was barely OK and a letdown after the first season and this seasons first episode! After the first episode of this season this series have become more and more disappointing to me.
I have played the three The Witcher games, but not read the books. But too much of this episode feels "off". Several of the characters seems to me to behave out of character, and that ruins much of the immersion for me. When it comes to action this episode had about one single minute of monster fighting, some other fighting, but not much else interesting in it! In a series about The Witcher I expect action and at least one proper scene with a monster being fought. I really hope that this episode at least is a part of a build up for something large, because except for the first episode, the second season have been a disappointment so far!

The Witcher: Turn Your Back (2021)
Still on a descent :-(
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. And this season of The Witcher have been on a descent after this seasons premiere. This episode continues the downwards trend starting with season two, episode two!
I have played the three The Witcher games, but not read the books. But too much of this episode too feels "off". Several of the characters seems to me to behave out of character, and that ruins much of the immersion for me. The plan Vesimir had for Ciri is just stupid!
In a series about The Witcher I expect action and at least a scene with a monster being fought. In this episode there was just barely a glimpse of a monster, and no monster fighting at all! I really hope that this episode too at least is a part of a build up for something large, because except for the first episode, the second season have been a disappointment so far!
Other than that, the acting, some of the characters, the CGI, the music, were..................................good.
The Witcher: Redanian Intelligence (2021)
Getting a bit boring.
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. The Witcher: What Is Lost (2021)
Have the series lost it already?!
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. And this episode was just OK and a letdown after the first season and this seasons first episode!
I have played the three The Witcher games, but not read the books. But too much of this episode feels "off". Several of the characters seems to me to behave out of character, and that ruins much of the immersion for me, and the fight with at least the first monster was cut FAR too short!
Other than that, the acting, most of the characters, at least one of the monsters, the CGI, the music, were..................................somewhere between good and GOOD ;-)
The Witcher: Kaer Morhen (2021)
Did the writers run out of ideas?
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. And this episode might be the one where The Witcher series suddenly went down the drain.
I have not read the books, but I have played the three The Witcher games several times.. Even if the series is not based on the game, both the series (and most of) the games are based on the same books. But neither of them supports what the writers of this episode did in this episode as far as I have seen! What is the point of basing something on something else if the source material is not respected?!
Except for that, the acting, the characters, the monster, the CGI, the music, the atmosphere were good, but too much deviated too much from the source material!
The Witcher: A Grain of Truth (2021)
An AMAZING start of the new season!
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. But this episode was AMAZING! There can never, or at least "never" be to much action in a series like this, but I would say that more action would have been more or less the only thing that could improve this episode.
What this episode lacks in action is compensated for with a great story. And the action that was in this episode was really good, and the story was as least as good!
On top of that, the acting, the characters, the monster(s), the CGI, the music, the plot, the atmosphere were..................................you guessed it: AMAZING ;-)
The Witcher: Much More (2019)
The Witcher is made AMAZING again :-D
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. But this episode was AMAZING again! There can never, or at least "never" be to much action in a series like this, but even without very much action by The Witcher, this episode still had some great action.
What little this episode lacks in action is compensated for with a great story. I particularly liked how it complemented some of the stories from the games. Even if the series is not based on the game, both the series (and most of) the games are based on the same books.
On top of that, the acting, the characters, the monster, the CGI, the music, the plot, the atmosphere were..................................you guessed it: AMAZING again ;-)
The Witcher: Before a Fall (2019)
Less action, but the plot thickens and the episode was still good.
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. But this episode was still GOOD! There can never, or at least "never" be to much action in a series like this, but I would say that more action would have been more or less the only thing that could improve this episode.

The Witcher: Bottled Appetites (2019)
A good story.
I am no fan of Netflix and usually find their movies flawed with plot holes, bad manuscripts and other annoyances. But this episode had a good story! The Witcher: Of Banquets, Bastards and Burials (2019)
All in all a GOOD episode
