The White Lotus (2021–2025)
4/10
Boring and irritating
27 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the first series thought thisv7s something new and interesting. One series would have been enough.

I watched the next 2 series thinking they might get better.

The settings and cinematography were amazing, the actors were faultless.

The storyline ended up so boring I fell asleep watching some of the episodes in series 3, they literally lost the plot sometimes and characters didn't seem to evolve leaving you wondering what on earth each character was thinking at times.

I know the characters were supposed to be horrible, but they were horrible beyond satirical and comedic and grotesque and I love watching programmes of that description. It was boring and stupid which is such a shame as decent actors and settings were used.

Terrible acting
27 June 2021
Just tried to watch Hollyoaks. I thought with winning best soap awards it must have changed and become brilliant, how wrong was I. The acting wasn't even worthy of a Sunday evening comedy drama. The storylines might be good, but the acting made me cringe. I'm not sure how it's still on our screens.

Not researched

Warning: Spoilers
It's an ok film. Clearly the person who had written the script had a poor dark view of bdsm. The client didn't know what to expect when he arrived, she just went straight to it and done something he didn't like, they must not have discussed anything prior. He didn't even know he should have removed his clothing. When the scene finished he was shaking and crying, a Domme should always give aftercare, granted it is fantasy. Please do not take this seriously if you are wanting to look into bdsm a good Domme would not act like this.

Brilliant series

Warning: Spoilers
This is just what we need, it's a breath of fresh air in a TV world of thrillers which are getting tedious and bogging the tv down. Douglas, the hapless father of Albie, who tries to be cool for his son. His son's not interested in slightest what his father is talking about and feels that he is ready to see the world on his own. The mother is trying to keep it all togethe abd both are pretending that they are not splitting up, for the sake of Albie. You see in flashbacks how Douglas and his wife met and their younger years. It's a series I'm definitely going to stick with, it's not an obvious comedy, more a lighthearted drama.

Different from other Aussie soaps
27 August 2020
Working from home at the moment and I've caught a few episodes on my lunch break. The storylines are hard hitting and I like the fact they are set in a normal place and not at the beach, however I find the acting poor and wooden, the camera makes me feel seasick, not sure if it's recorded on a mobile phone. It feels like a commercial rather than a soap. I'll still keep dropping in on it when I get a chance, but I won't be making it a main watch. It's a shame as it could be really good.

Boring
23 March 2019
Less than 10 minutes in and I'm bored with it. A montage near the beginning is always a bad sign, they're trying to fill out the time. This seems very much improvised, very badly written and annoying dialogue.
