Lovely Writer (2021)
My favorite but...
Definitely one of my favorite BL's to date. Their relationship seemed so consensual and both of the leads are gorgeous. I really fell in love with Up Poompat as Gene; he's SO cute! I love the digs they took at the BL industry, while still delivering on every front. The steamiest scene happens in episode 9 and I felt like I waited very patiently for that. It was done so well and it was hot!!
However, the twists were legitimately surprising yet also a little odd.
SPOILERS AHEAD- I was shocked to find out that Nubsib and Gene knew each other as children and that he manipulated Gene in such an odd way. I still loved them together but it just felt... weird? For a moment. Then the ending was off as well.
To create multiple endings that were awkward and then to say that we were watching the screen adaptation of Lovely Writer was unnecessary and made me tear up.
I'm not one who ships real-life relationships or anything like that (as they were digging at on the show), but I wanted to keep Gene and Sib as a cute couple who only exist on the show and have a perfect little family. However, it basically revealed it was all a show and the "main leads" weren't necessarily truly in love; they were just acting.
I don't know, it made me really sad, LOL! Overall though, the acting was great and I really want to see Up in more shows!
TharnType (2019)
Sad but I like it
The leading actors (Mew and Gulf) have absolutely amazing chemistry during their love scenes. When things aren't tense, the way they look at each other and smile just melts my heart. However, I couldn't help but constantly feel really bad for Tharn. I honestly don't know why he'd want to be with such a physically and verbally aggressive guy. It makes me so mad when Type pushes him around and gets physical with him (and not in a good way). I feel that it not showing a healthy relationship doesn't help the community or the viewers to understand what is healthy or not. There could have been just as much drama without physically hurting Tharn multiple times. It always seemed to be him too, and he's just the cutest and sweetest thing. Ugh! That's my only gripe though.

Worth it but Sad
Major spoilers ahead if the other review didn't spoil already- I was not expecting to love this as much as I did, but also I was not expecting it to be a love triangle between the cat and her ex-lover. I thought it would just be a cute story with some added drama about a girl falling for a cat-boy, but I was way wrong. By the time I realized how it was *most likely* going to end, I was sad. I was sat here in tears for the last 5 episodes, just hoping my prediction wouldn't come true. It sort of did. The ending made me so sad, and Jae-sun deserved better as well as Hong-Jo. I found myself pining for Jae-sun and hoping she would warm more to him, as he became one of my favorite characters. Massive character development and great story.
Overall, it was worth it but the ending was way too sad. I'm still thinking about it days later.
Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (2009)
The Finale is Beautiful
I gave this one star higher than the first InuYasha, solely because it didn't drag and it was done beautifully. However, I do wish it could have dragged JUST A LITTLE MORE, hence 9 stars instead of 10. I wanted to know more about their life after Kagome chose InuYasha's world, and the powering up of characters happened a little too fast for my taste. However, most stones aren't left unturned. We get some closure. I also wish they didn't wait this long for Kagome and InuYasha to kiss! I guess they had to kill Kikyo first, Lol
Inuyasha (2000)
I'm Obsessed!
I can't truly pinpoint why, but InuYasha has a strong place in my heart. I've been obsessing over this show! The characters and their relationships are fun to watch, there's drama, heavy plot, and touching light moments.
The entire show can be a little slow at times, and repetitive, which is why I didn't give it 10 stars to be honest. I wish there were more arcs and that they didn't push the end of Naraku so quickly in the Final Act, but until then it never felt hurried or subpar. The animation is quite decent, every frame is a work of art and looks as though someone drew every last detail, which they basically did!!!
I absolutely loved the episodes where InuYasha goes to the modern world and hangs out with Kagome's family, especially when he crashes the play Kagome is in with Hojo. Hilarious!
I didn't really like that Kikyo was revived, but it did add to the plot in the end. I wish she stayed dead and Kagome and InuYasha could have been happier together the whole time, but that's just silly of me and well, they're fictional.
I recommend this anime, even if you think you don't like anime or that it's childish. I'm almost 30 and love it!
Yu yu hakusho (1992)
The GOAT
This anime is truly the greatest of all time. The characters and their relationships are intense and real, the animation is so fun, the music is killer, and it's a joy to watch! For this, I do recommend the dubbed. Kuwabara's voice actor is too funny and gives him a whole other dimension. Yusuke is a little baddie and his quips are hilarious. Hiei and Kurama are fantastic opponents and friends. I just... really love it and highly recommend it!
Death Note: Desu nôto (2006)
I HATE THIS ANIME
The first half of this series is absolutely phenomenal. The interactions between Light and L were so meticulous. Then they decide *SPOILERS*
To KILL L. I kept saying, "there's no way L is dead. He must have planned this and is faking his death," but no. L DIED. Light is the biggest piece of trash in my opinion, which was fine and led a great plot until he killed L. I almost didn't even want to watch the rest without L there. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the first show to honestly infuriate me. I hate Light and I hate this anime for killing of precious Ryuzaki. I will give it a 9 though for the beginning, hah!
