The Last Boy Scout (1991)
Personal review. Good movie.
Good 90s action, with some nice bites of humour throughout.
Good story, good action.
Willis smashed the washed out cop performance, as per usual.
Would probably watch again, but not until after like 2030 (the year, not the time)
16 Blocks (2006)
Personal review. 8.5/10 fantastic.
Watched for a 2nd time after 15 years, had forgot most of it, as normal for me.
Absolutely loved it.
Willis was brilliant as to be expected, as his "bread and butter" (depressed washed out cop)
Fantastic storyline.
Great performances.
Great action and suspense.
A few emotional moments.
Was captured by the whole 100 minutes.
Would watch again in 3-5 years.
Watched April 2022.
Rise of the Footsoldier 4: Marbella (2019)
Good hangover movie.
Story was alright, not too basic, not too complex.
Action was pretty good.
Would watch again in 3+ years
Might have to watch the other "Rise of the footsoldier"s now. Didn't realise it was a thing.
March 2022.
Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
If you're not an OG Rambo fan, it's awesome!
Taken, meets Home Alone, but with Rambo.
No bad acting anywhere.
Script was alright. Story was alright.
Action was brutal in parts.
I enjoyed it. Would watch again in 2+ years.
SAS: Red Notice (2021)
Waste of time
Terrible plotline. Awful script.
Horrible acting, over acting, under acting.
The only good part was Andy Serkis' scenes.
Badly choreographed, boring action scenes.
And phones work in the channel tunnel apparently.
Avoid. Not even a hang over day movie.
Nobody (2021)
SPOILERS. Top notch 1h:30 action film.
Personal review for reference.
Didn't take it too seriously. Enjoyed it for a solid action movie with a few humorous moments.
Bob Odenkirk played it well.
Would put in the same category as Taken, and John Wick, with a subtle ode to 'Home Alone' haha.
He almost left it alone until THE KITTY CAT bracelet was missing. Ha
Bus fight scene was fantastic.
House fight scene was pretty sick.
Burning the money happened too fast, coulda had an extra fight scene there.
Final fight scene in the warehouse with Christopher Lloyd was cool.
All round loved it tbh.
Would watch annually.
9/10.
Infinite (2021)
I look forward to a sequel.
I enjoyed it. There were a fair few missing scenes, a few plot holes and unexplained things, the movie felt a bit rushed in parts, but mostly a pretty good take on a league of "Eternals"
Mile 22 (2018)
Good film. Should be 12 minutes longer.
Good enough story, cool overwatch type logistics, I like how they built his character. Fight scenes are wayyy too cut-happy, something like 10 cuts in a 3 second patch. And the ending was bullturd. It ends out of nowhere, without resolving anything, and essentially is just half a movie. I look forward to number 2.
