Astrella-Celeste "Runaway" Music Video Directed by Chip Miller
The debut music video of Astrella-Celeste, Irish pop star and daughter of 60's singer/songwriter icon, Donovan. This limited release video features Coachella Valley violinist, Eric Frankson. Locations include the Palm Springs Windmill Farm at the Indian Road Train Station, Joshua Tree National Park, and various locales around the low and high deserts of Southern California. Award-winning director, Chip Miller, who met Donovan in the late 80's when he actually lived near Joshua Tree, raising Astrella, her sister, and Donovan's step son, Julian Jones, son of the late Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones. In 2008, Donovan taped a PBS TV concert special with David Lynch, actress Laura Dern, and Astrella. Miller consulted Donovan through the pre-concert process (Miller has directed 44 concert specials for HBO, MTV, CMT, PBS, and Showtime), as well as convinced The Beach Boys' lead singer, Mike Love, to surprise Donovan and stroll on stage to join him singing, "Mellow Yellow," live at the former Kodak Theater in Hollywood (now the Dolby Theater, home of the Oscars). The moment became a historic rock reunion, as the two singers had not seen each other since they both travelled to India together to join The Beatles' infamous spiritual sessions with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Mike Love wore an entire yellow suit for the occasion. Aside from directing Astrella's first video, Miller co-edited and Produced with Travis Miller. Neeraja Lockhart did make-up and hair, with Mark Shelton and Chip Miller handling cameras.
