Mob boss Anthony "Pops" Fasano, played by multiple award winning actor and multiple awarded filmmaker for "Still the Drums" Talbot Perry Simons, is a local mob boss with a family. Years ago, Pops went against the head family by having part of his crew manned with a crew of with three black guys known as the James brothers. Pops took in these boys in when they were young children who played with his son. He bought them shoes, fed them and eventually let them live in his home like family. Mike the oldest of the James brothers is almost like a second son to Pops and Pops son Tony has grown very jealous of that relationship over the years feeling he has been ignored. The James brothers have asked Pops many times to be able to leave and start their own family to which Pops has always said no. Once again the James brothers have asked for a sit down with Pops This time the James brothers have asked to leave and they have gone behind Pops back and went to the head family with their idea and now they plan to quit and have the backing of the mob against Pops. To top it off behind Pops back Mike James is having a secret love affair with Pops daughter and when Pops finds out things really start to spin out of control.
