- John Warren Parsons, 35, robbed a gas station and stole a car in Chillicothe, Ohio, on 21 April 2005. An off-duty cop, Larry Cox, leaving the home of his parents after dinner, saw Parsons running away and chased him. Parsons shot him in the neck and Cox died. Parsons was caught on 1 May 2005 and put in jail, facing capital charges, but his trial was delayed and he made an ingenious escape on 29 July 2006.

Lauren's warm friendly smile suddenly changes to a look of concern, confusion and discomfort as the boyfriend asks if she can show him her doll doll collection. Lauren, glancing between the boyfriend and the door, quickly decides to get out of the situation and responds, "Um, I think I'm going to get some pie" and flees the room. The point of all this being to keep an eye on our kids when we have "kinda knows" in our home, as is often the situation at gatherings such as these.

He was convicted of 46 counts of rape, kidnapping and sodomy committed between 1991 and 2006 in six Northern California counties. He was sentenced to 897 years behind bars.
