Gracemarie hales from an Italian, Irish, Catholic family of TEN!! She may only stand 5'2", but she is petite, powerful, and perky! When Gracemarie enters a room, it lights up. People gravitate toward her because of her illuminating presence and her ability to make you feel wonderful about yourself. She is a true humanitarian, for which she won the Amy McNutt Humanitarian Award in college.
Two of her favorite sayings are: "Life's a banquet, and most poor sons of bitches are starving to death!" And money is like manure, you need to spread it around and encourage young things to grow." She wants to find the magic in the day and the joy in situations that's may seem challenging. It is important to have integrity, morals, and values, and to always be sharpening your brain. This is why she started Girls with Grace and Guys with Grace; a 101 to social graces and empowerment of thyself.
Gracemarie is a fan of the 1940s and 1950s. She loves old movies and the arts. She is a bit of a romantic! As for music, she enjoys pretty much anything. Even some rap! Gracemarie has danced with some ballet companies as well as the Los Angeles Opera and has worked in several T.V. , Films, and Plays. She produced and starred in a "Lucky Charm" a short film that was in the International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles. She has created a web series called "Happy Hour" which she stars as well as produces and writes. She credits her parents for lighting the flame for culture and giving her the opportunity to experience her passion for the Fine Arts.
Some of Gracemarie's hobbies include tennis, surfing, skiing, ,watching sporting events, and hiking. She loves baking, cooking, and hosting cocktail parties. You never know what fascinating people will attend! Gracemarie is a lover of people and animals. She says her Alaskan Malamute-part-wolf, Max, who is in Heaven now, taught her many things. Here are a few: that no matter who or what tries to distract you, you should always keep your eyes focused on your goal; not waste time with people who really don't care for you and are manipulators, drink water, remember that you don't have to finish everything on your plate if you are full; and smile and be kind. He is the best part of her. Max sent sweet little Amy to her, who she feels the same way about.
Gracemarie believes people tend to put too much value on outer beauty, height, weight, and age. She says that we are not attracted to a number; but rather an energy, a soul! It is her belief we should treat ourselves with respect and dignity so that we can treat others the same. She encourages everyone to "Make a commitment to yourself to live your authentic selves. It is never too late. Dare to be different, to be the example, a mentor. To live in the strength of the truth, because the truth will set you free, and the truth always prevails.
