Jack Axelrod, the actor who played the role of Victor Jerome on General Hospital, has died. He was 93.
Multiple reports indicate that Axelrod died on Nov. 28 of natural causes in Los Angeles.
Axelrod was featured on the ABC soap for 40 episodes between 1987 and 1989. He had previously made guest appearances in Kojak (1977), Hill Street Blues (1984), Dallas (1983), The Judge (1986), Dynasty (1987), Outlaws (1987) and Night Court (1989).
“I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with him in his last years, as he had no immediate family,” representative Jennifer Garland said in a statement to EW. “We spent much time outdoors, where Jack loved to sketch, read news articles, and recite Shakespearean sonnets.”
Following his stint on General Hospital, Axelrod went on to play Arnie Zimmer on three episodes of Knots Landing between 1989 and 1990. Guest appearances would follow on shows like Murphy Brown (1992), Everybody Loves Raymond (1999), Boys Meets World (1999), Good vs Evil (1999), Jack & Jill...

Despite recent hopes of a cancellation reprieve, Whisky Cavalier has been definitively axed by ABC.
Well that hope was short-lived. After some reports that Whiskey Cavalier Season 2 might just happen on ABC after all, ABC went and reiterated that the show is canceled after all.
While ABC canceled the series earlier this month, an earlier report from TV Line said that talks were underway between ABC and the show’s production company, Warner Bros. Television, to reevaluate plans for a second season of Whiskey Cavalier. In an update, said talks were confirmed by the network, which said it was “taking another quick look at the feasibility of renewing the show, and conversations are ongoing. We expect a fast decision, probably by the end of this week.”
Apparently, those talks didn't go so well as Deadline has now re-confirmed that Whiskey Cavalier was kaput.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details about the Wednesday night season finale of Whiskey Cavalier.
ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier was a surprise, last-minute cancellation by ABC, much to the consternation of a vocal contingent of loyal fans who felt the drama deserved more than a one-and-done.
The cancellation also was surprising in that Whiskey Cavalier had been touted as one of the big shows of the season for the network, featuring some hot stars and experienced showrunners. In its decision, the network cited low ratings and not much room to grow. Distributor Warner Bros. is shopping it elsewhere, but nothing has happened yet.
Whiskey Cavalier follows FBI agent Will Chase (codename: Whiskey Cavalier) who is assigned to work with CIA operative Francesca ‘Frankie’ Trowbridge (codename: Fiery Tribune). They work with a team of spies in a somewhat playful journey to save the world.

Pulling Whiskey Cavalier from the field after its freshman run was both “a very tough decision” as well as the final decision that ABC entertainment chief Karey Burke made ahead of announcing the schedule for the 2019-20 TV season.
The Whiskey premiere was given a cushy sneak-preview following the Academy Awards in February. But the show’s numbers had eroded ever since, and as of May 9 — when it hit season lows — its 0.57 demo average made it ABC’s third-lowest-rated drama (besting only fellow midseason entries The Fix and For the People, both of which have also been cancelled).

According to a new report from the folks over at TV Line ABC’s hit medical drama will not be bringing back yet another main female doctor character for their brand new 14th season. They say that it appears that actress Tessa Ferrer (above) will not be returning to reprise her Leah Murphy character. They have multiple sources telling them that Tessa has not been seen on the Grey’s Anatomy set this season and that they’re currently aren’t any plans to phase her Leah Murphy character back into any of the Grey Sloan storylines. Tessa was first seen on the show way back in season 9. Then her character got written out of the show in the season 10 finale episode when Richard decided to fire her for not performing well on the job as a surgeon. However, she was phased back into the storyline in the early part...

Recently, the folks over at TV Line got to chat up one of Grey’s Anatomy’s executive producers Debbie Allen and she revealed another interesting storyline teaser that will be featured in the show’s big two-hour premiere. It has to do with character Arizona Robbins played by actress Jessica Capshaw (above right). It turns out that we’re going to see her split up with character Eliza Minnick get addressed at some point even though Eliza will be nowhere in sight. As previously reported, Eliza’s portrayer Marika Dominczyk (above left) is not returning to the show. This had been speculated when Eliza was abruptly fired by Bailey in the show’s season 13 finale episode. In Eliza’s final scene, she told a shocked Arizona that she had been fired. According to a recent report from TV Line, the Grey’s Anatomy season 14 crew has decided to get rid of the Eliza Minnick character. She was played by actress Marika Dominczyk (above) who joined the cast as the recurring character back in November 2016. She portrayed Arizona Robbins’ love interest. Apparently, this result was suspected because Eliza got fired quite abruptly by Miranda Bailey in the season 13 finale episode. Poor Eliza was last seen letting Arizona know about the startling news of her firing. However, we never did see them officially break up. Well, now it is indeed official. It is presumed that Arizona will be single and ready to mingle when season 14 starts back up in late September 2017. TV Line went on to say that ABC turned down the opportunity to comment on this development. So, it’s possible that we may never know what officially transpired with the production team.

Recently, the folks over at ABC dropped the new official press release spoilers for their upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" episode 18 of season 13 and it sounds like we're going to see some very interesting and super dramatic scenes take place as the doctors run into a major dilemma in trying to figure out how to keep Maggie's very sick mother from biting the dust. We're also going to see Richard maybe finally accept and get past the crap the Bailey pulled on him. The episode is labeled: "Be Still, My Soul." In their official plot summary, they tell us that poor Maggie's mother, Diane, is just going to get worse as far as her health is concerned. Then, if that weren't enough, they let us know that the doctors are going to be bumping heads as to which direction they should take in an effort to treat her wasting even more valuable precious time.

They were not kidding when they said 13 is an unlucky number.
Any show that can make it past three seasons, is sure to have a few hiccups at some point or another. For Grey's Anatomy, they're hitting a few bumps during their unlucky thirteenth season.
On the positive side, the season isn't over yet. There's still time for it to win us over again.
There have been some really great moments during Grey's Anatomy Season 13. In some ways, it has reminded us of classic Grey's. The season is in no way a complete bust.
However, as the season progresses, fans have become exasperated. It has led to speculation, theories, debates, and discussions.

And so the saga continues.
There were some good moments and some "meh" moments on Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 15, but overall I'm just bloody underwhelmed. Or tired, I can't decide which. We'll go with both.
How about you guys? We're in this together, afterall.
As the song postulates, what is war good for? Absolutely nothing.
I cannot think of a more fitting picture of Meredith Grey than the one above. Her expression mirrored mine during the entire hour. That expression where you're 100% done, and you can't bring yourself to even hide it anymore. That one.
Same, Meredith. Same.
We were able to go a full 24 minutes without an Eliza appearance (Yes, I counted), but we were not spared from the effects that she has on the hospital and the staff. This time, she was literally coming between a family.
You know who is an awesome character who makes me laugh?...

In Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy, Arizona (literally) peeked under her new colleague’s hood and (also, literally) grabbed hold of her horn wire — and it was arguably the pair’s most intimate moment to date. Even Eliza’s portrayer, Marika Dominczyk, admits with a laugh that her onscreen crush’s sudden swing into grease-monkey territory was “kind of hot,” adding...

If Grey's Anatomy fans didn't like Eliza Minnick before tonight, they probably hate her now. The brash doctor (played by Marika Dominczyk) brought in to overhaul Grey-Sloan Memorial's teaching program went full throttle with her plans by placing particular surgeries in the unprepared hands of attendings, leaving the residents to simply observe and guide. Because this is Shondaland, the results were calamitous, resulting in Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) accidentally killing one of Arizona's (Jessica Capshaw) pediatric patients when she misses the fact that the kid's bleeding internally. Making matters even worse, when a distraught Edwards looked to her budding mentor for guidance, Eliza just abandoned her in the...

Marika Dominczyk knew she was walking into a hornet’s nest when she took on the role of Grey’s Anatomy‘s feather-ruffling new surgical consultant Eliza Minnick, whose actions in last week’s episode led to the suspension of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). And making matters more incendiary, she’s maybe-possibly looking to fill a certain romantic void in Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) life.
“‘Calzona’ fans are crazy,” Dominczyk tells TVLine with a laugh, referring to the still-zealous acolytes of Arizona and her ex, Callie (former cast member Sara Ramirez). “I really appreciate their passion. I think it’s amazing.

Looks like Alex Karev isn’t headed to prison after all.
Grey’s Anatomy resolved Alex’s (Justin Chambers) pending fate on Thursday’s episode, revealing that the embattled Grey-Sloan Memorial doctor won’t be spending any time behind bars and got his job back as a pediatric surgeon -- all thanks to an unlikely savior.
Just as Alex was about to take the plea deal for beating up Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti), Andrew barged into the District Attorney’s office, dropping a huge bombshell: He was going to drop all the charges against Alex. Wait, but why the sudden change of heart?

Finally, we got back into the swing of things.
It has been a long couple of months, and we spent the entire time dying to see what happened to Alex. We were finally graced with his appearance on Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 11, and it was the sweetest scene of the night.
But apparently the show wasn't done screwing with us, because even after Grey's Anatomy Season 13 Episode 10's stand alone episode, where we thought we found out Alex's fate, we still had to wait until the end of this episode to actually see him.
All of that and we still don't know what happened!
The fact that we were left hanging again on the biggest plot point of the season could have easily been frustrating, but I rather enjoyed how they chose to handle it. Meredith spending the entire episode desperately trying to track down her Bff was fitting.
Not only was it fitting,...

Wait, Alex Karev was where?!
Grey’s Anatomy revealed what happened to Alex (Justin Chambers) after the massive cliffhanger in the fall finale, where it seemed as though he was about to take a plea deal for beating up Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Giannotti), which would have resulted in a lengthy prison sentence.

Lives may be altered for good on Grey’s Anatomy.
On Thursday’s midseason finale, titled “You Haven’t Done Nothin’,” the assault case against Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) -- and the realistic possibility that he may be headed behind bars -- prompts him to make a decision about his future at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital that could change the landscape.
“In classic Grey’s fashion, there will be a cliffhanger that will potentially change a character’s life forever,” star Jason George, who plays Ben Warren on the ABC medical soap, tells Et. “Mainly Karev. He’s looking at serious, serious problems that aren’t normal doctor problems. He’s in court with a serious ‘We’re not going to see you for a while’ problem.”

“We have a full house,” Foley tells People of his rescue dogs, terrier mixes Frankie, 2 and Lucy, 1. “It’s like I have five kids! But they bring a lot of life into the family. Life wouldn’t be the same without them.”
And the Scandal star says the dogs are “great” with his wife, actress Marika Dominczyk, and three kids: Marley, 7, Keller, 4 and Konrad, 2. “They treat the kids gently,” says Foley, 44. “And I think they teach the kids responsibility and patience. They definitely teach me patience.

Well, it looks like the time is finally right for Arizona Robbins to find love again on Grey's Anatomy. Unfortunately, it also looks like she'll be falling for Public Enemy No. 1 at Grey Sloan Memorial—the just-introduced Dr. Eliza Minnick. After Catherine (Debbie Allen) came to the realization that the residency program was in disarray at the end of last week's episode, she and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) invited Eliza (Marika Dominczyk) to the hospital for a consultation on their teaching methods—without alerting Webber (James Pickens Jr.), the residency director and, you know, Catherine's own husband. And this self-described agent of change wasted no time rubbing every single attending the absolute...

In Thursday’s mega-emotional Grey’s Anatomy, Alex saved himself from the pink-slip that Catherine insisted Bailey issue him by coming up with a way to save a terminally ill cancer patient’s baby (if not the mother-to-be herself); to Arizona’s chagrin, a more confident Leah returned to Grey Sloan, specifically to study cardiothoracic surgery with her inspiration, Maggie; Andrew suggested to Jo that she could do better than “bad guy” Karev; and Amelia… good God, poor Amelia!

The honeymoon is over for Grey’s Anatomy newlyweds Amelia and Owen — at least for now. Though she was initially jubilant about the prospect of having a baby, her feelings on the subject quickly turned as negative as her pregnancy test results. And, in Thursday’s episode (ABC, 8/7c), things go from sad to worse, according Caterina Scorsone, who plays Mrs. Hunt. “We got to have some laughs, some romance, but now, we’re back in the trenches.”
