As Hannah Montana once wisely sang, “Nobody’s perfect.”
While most of us live and learn it, a select group of people love to ignore that each of us is born with imperfections and mercilessly mocks others. That’s right—internet trolls.
Catherine Reitman’s unique lips have been the subject of much speculation (Credit: Sara De Boer / Startraksphoto)
After the steamrolling success of her show, Workin’ Moms, actress Catherine Reitman has been the target of many hurtful and downright mean posts and tweets.
Even though the 42-year-old actress is the creator, executive producer, writer, and star of a multi-award-winning television series, haters on the internet can only seem to focus on one thing: her lips.
The Speculation Around Catherine Reitman’s Unique Smile
Catherine Reitman certainly does have a unique smile, with a curved upper lip that dips inward on each side and accentuates her ultra-white teeth.

Gather all your friends. Platonic is headed back to Apple TV + for Season 2.
In some ways, Platonic Season 1 felt like a limited series, but we're excited to have more time with Will, Sylvia, Charlie, and the other characters.
Platonic filled us with lots of drama and laughter, mainly because Rose Bryne and Seth Rogan worked together previously on the comedic film "Neighbors" along with creators and writers Francesca Delbanco and Nicholas Stoller.
Let's hope the second season is as successful as the first one.
While the second season may be a ways off, let's discuss possible release dates, Season 2 plot lines, cast, and everything we know so far.
Has Platonic Been Renewed?
Apple TV + renewed Platonic for Season 2 in December 2023. While the buddy comedy was initially planned as a limited series, it attracted a large following.

If there is one death that hit "Bones" fans hard, it was the death of Lance Sweets. Played by John Francis Daley, the character was killed off rather brutally in the show's season 10 premiere. That left everyone else to pick up the pieces, namely his on-again, off-again, girlfriend Daisy, who happened to be pregnant with his unborn child. Carla Gallo, the actress behind Daisy, had some thoughts on what she would have liked for the characters. In the end, it didn't go her way.
Back in 2014, Gallo spoke with Give Me My Remote about Daisy's relationship with Sweets, particularly in light of the show killing off the character. For Gallo, it seemed to be bittersweet as Daisy was the last woman Sweets loved, but they didn't get to be together in the end. That is what she truly wanted, even if the powers that be weren't planning on going that direction.

Everyone has a TV character death that struck a raw nerve -- like Tara suddenly getting killed on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Or Cordelia abruptly dying on "Angel." Or Wash's shocking demise in the "Firefly" movie "Serenity." Being sadistic to his fans was kind of Joss Whedon's thing long before his fall from grace, is what I'm getting at.
Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) being murdered on the orders of the corrupt Dr. Glen Durant (Jd Cullum) in the "Bones" season 10 premiere, "The Conspiracy in the Corpse," was another gut-punch of a TV death. Unless you knew what was going on behind the scenes, it must have come as a rather unexpected blow. It wasn't like he got offed in the lead-up to a season finale or at a point where his story appeared to be drawing to a close organically. Quite the opposite; things were going swimmingly for the boyish FBI psychologist,...

For an impressive 12 seasons, Hart Hanson's sweet-and-scary procedural crime series "Bones" kept viewers on their toes with a colorful assortment of forensically baffling mysteries, terrifying villains, and unpredictable character arcs. That last quality might very well be key to the series' longevity. Yes, fans tuned in every week to see Bones (Emily Deschanel), Booth (David Boreanaz), and the Jeffersonian gang use their great big brains to crack an intriguing new case, but the who- and howdunnit elements were often secondary to the simple pleasure of watching characters viewers grew to love fall in love with each other.
The camaraderie was endearing in and of itself, but when workplace romances blossomed into full-blown relationships, the will-they-or-won't-they tension gave when to a when-will-they-put-a-ring-on-it anticipation. Any time you end a long-running show, you can guarantee the tears will flow in abundance. But even with all the waterworks going on at home during a series finale (among other water-related concerns), it rarely holds a candle to all the crying that transpires behind the scenes. Working in close proximity with the same core group of people over a decade takes an emotional toll on anyone, all the more so when your job demands long hours and relentless emoting. Then again, in the case of "Bones" star Emily Deschanel, her character's typical lack of a visible emotional reaction meant that she spent most of the series doing her best bawling off-camera.
Thankfully, by the time the show wrapped up its 12th and final season in 2017, Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan had loosened up enough for Deschanel to do her share of weeping onscreen, even in the middle of a...

It's fascinating to look back and track shifts in the media landscape in response to the real world. One need only compare director Roland Emmerich's "Independence Day" -- a whiz-bang 1990s blockbuster where A-listers crack wise while battling aliens hell-bent on conquering Earth -- with director Steven Spielberg's grave and distressing post-9/11 take on "War of the Worlds" to see how a major historical event can result in two drastically different variations on the same genre template released less than 10 years apart.
In point of fact, by the time "Bones" premiered its 12th and final season on Fox in 2017, cultural attitudes had evolved dramatically from what they were at the start of the show's run in 2005. When Hart Hanson's procedural got going, the U.S. was only a few years into its joint invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, with memories of the September 11 terrorist attacks still very much fresh on everybody's minds.

Back in May, the first season of the comedy series Platonic, which stars Neighbors and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising co-stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, aired on Apple TV+… and it clearly went over quite well, as Deadline reports that Apple TV+ has ordered more episodes of the show. Platonic season 2 is a go!
JoBlo’s own Alex Maidy gave the first season of the show an 8/10 review you can read at This Link. He described the show as “light and enjoyable” and said “hanging out with Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen for half-hour segments is full of laughs”. In fact, there were enough hilarious moments in each episode, he felt it made up for the narrative shortcomings in the series. I haven’t seen Platonic yet myself, but Alex’s review has definitely made me want to check it out.

Bones ran for 12 years on Fox, firmly planting its leads, Emily Deschanel as Dr. Temperance Brennan and David Boreanaz as FBI agent Seely Booth, in TV history.
When a show touches that many hearts and minds, it's never too soon to recall it fondly, and now, six years after its final episode aired on March 28, 2017, Deschanel and Carla Gallo (Daisy Wick) are set to launch a podcast titled, appropriately, Boneheads with Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo (A Bones Rewatch Podcast).
I had the pleasure of listening to the first episode, and before the SAG-AFTRA strike, I had a chance to talk about it with Deschanel.
My vote is in — Boneheads with Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo is a must for any Bones fan and anyone who likes to hear behind-the-scenes goodies. The hosts are also close friends, and listening to their playful banter feels like you're sitting right beside them.

“Platonic” star Luke MacFarlane is hoping for more screen time with Seth Rogen should the Apple TV+ comedy be renewed for a second season.
“There have definitely been discussions,” MacFarlane told TheWrap about his hopes for scoring a Season 2 renewal. “I don’t know all the details, but we’re hoping we can make it work … I’d like to see Charlie spend a little bit more time with Will to try to understand him a little bit better.”
In addition to more Charlie and Will (Rogen) bonding, MacFarlane hopes a sophomore installment will also spotlight Rose Byrne’s Sylvia friendship with Katie (Carla Gallo) — even teasing a potential collaboration for Sylvia’s event planning business.

In addition to more Charlie and Will (Rogen) bonding, MacFarlane hopes a sophomore installment will also spotlight Rose Byrne’s Sylvia friendship with Katie (Carla Gallo) — even teasing a potential collaboration for Sylvia’s event planning business.

It's rare when shows last for over a decade that fans are still clamoring for more, but that's been the case for Bones since it wrapped its 12-season run in 2017.
Thankfully, series creator Hart Hanson isn't ruling out the possibility of the David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel procedural drama staging a comeback.
"We are in contact with each other," he told Variety on Friday as cast members and creatives from the series reunited for a WGA picket at Fox Studios.
"Everybody on Bones is in contact with each other. At separate times, it's like, 'What are you doing? What's the availability?'"
When Bones Season 12 wrapped in 2017 on Fox, the ratings were still strong, so it's likely viewers would welcome a comeback season.
Unfortunately, getting a new season off the ground could be difficult.
"Fox broadcast Bones, but Disney now bought 20th, so they own [the show]," he said.

When I am on my deathbed, I will still be recommending Carnivale to whoever will listen. It’s also depressing as fuck. There are few moments when you get a chance to feel actual happiness in any scene, or for any character in the show. Oh, and they decided to cut the cord leaving it on a cliffhanger. More on that later. For now, let’s get into the wonderful world that is, Carnivale.

It’s the age-old question: can men and women be friends? Well, in Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen’s new Apple TV+ series Platonic, the most important question isn’t can they — it’s should they?
Byrne stars as Sylvia, an exhausted middle-aged mom. Once a lawyer with a promising career, she’s spent the past 13 years staying home to raise her kids, a decision that she’s less and less grateful for as she watches her lawyer husband thrive in his career. Plot: A platonic pair of former best friends approaching midlife who reconnect after a long rift. The duo’s friendship becomes all consuming—and destabilizes their lives in a hilarious way.
Review: A question that has been used as fodder for countless romantic comedies over the years is whether a man and a woman can be friends without becoming sexual. Rob Reiner’s classic When Harry Met Sally asked that question, and the answer was a resounding no. But the new series Platonic starring Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne, may prove otherwise. Reuniting the stars of the two Neighbors films, Platonic is a relationship comedy about two people in very different places who rediscover a friendship that helps them reassess parts of their lives that they otherwise could not contend with. It is a sweet and funny series that benefits from the charm and effortless chemistry between Rogen and Byrne...

After flexing his dramatic muscles in The Fabelmans, Seth Rogen returns to his comic comfort zone as a millennial man-child in Platonic. Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco’s comedy begins when Will (Rogen) reconnects with his former best friend, Sylvia (Rose Byrne), who’s living a polar-opposite version of adulthood. Will dresses like a toddler, has a Duffman tattoo, and won’t take responsibility for anything beyond his pet lizard, while Sylvia is a lawyer turned stay-at-home mom, shuttling her kids between extracurricular activities and hunting for a new house while trying to keep the current one from falling apart.
Will and Sylvia’s reunion gets off to a rocky start. They meet at a local diner and anxiously zip punchlines back and forth at each other across the table. But, then, their friend date ends with a screaming match in the middle of the street in which they rehash...

Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne have played a husband and wife in the Neighborhood movie franchise.
The pair reunites for the Apple TV+ comedy series Platonic, which finds them playing one-time best friends who fall back into each other's lives.
They share an all-consuming friendship that gets them into wild situations.
Byrne tells TV Fanatic exclusively that while Rogen and creators Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco were all draws for her to sign on the dotted line, she connected with the platonic relationship between her character Sylvia and Rogen's Will.
"I have a dear friend who is a guy, and we've always had a platonic friendship, and I've definitely been under the scrutiny of other people going, 'Hold on, wait, you're just friends?'"
Byrne says that Platonic is "pure comedy" and that viewers should expect "emotional resonance," but at its core, the show is very much about entertaining the audience while challenging expectations.

Apple TV+’s Platonic knows perfectly well that it’s going to draw comparisons to When Harry Met Sally. The characters themselves call out the parallels within the first ten minutes, when Will (Seth Rogen) insists the ’80s classic “proves” it’s possible for him to remain platonic with his ex-bff Sylvia (Rose Byrne) — only to be disabused of the notion when it’s pointed out to him that the film actually ends with Harry and Sally getting hitched.
In truth, though, the When Harry Met Sally references are a bit of a feint. Platonic, created by Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco (Netflix’s Friends from College), is less concerned with whether men and women can maintain friendships in general than it is with what Will and Sylvia are getting out of this particular friendship at this particular moment. And while clean-cut answers prove hard to come by, the series...

The cast of Apple TV+’s “Platonic” was all smiles and laughs as they celebrated the premiere of their rom-com, but the Wednesday night carpet was clouded by Hollywood’s ongoing writers strike.
Some of the show’s stars including longtime friends Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, and Carla Gallo revealed their thoughts on the face off between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers while walking the green carpet outside of Regal LA Live theater in downtown Los Angeles.
“I’m personally distressed by not having any sense of how successful these shows and movies we make for streaming services are,” said Rogen. “The secretiveness only makes me think that they’re making way more money off of all of us than they want to share with anybody. These executives are making insane salaries that you would only make if you are running an incredibly profitable business.

While Byrne has a family and husband (Luke Macfarlane), Rogen is recently divorced and works as a brewmaster at his own bar.
