Held a wrestling school in his basement, which he called "The Dungeon"
Had dreams of winning an Olympic medel in amateur wrestling, but wasn't
able to participate due to World War II.
He was awarded the C.M. (Member of the Order of Canada) on November 15,
2000 for his services to sports and charities in Canada. On May 31,
2001, he received his honor by Governor General Adrienne Clarkson
during a ceremony in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Played football for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football
League.
